emory889, I almost always agree with you but on this comment I have to take exception. When Diener was in for about 8 mins at end of third and start of fourth, the offense looked up-tempo and crisp. When Jameer came back in he slowed things down and just kept dribbling, and the offense immediately looked awful.

I don't care about his individual stats. As quarterback of the offense, he was a total failure tonite.

Honestly I didn't see the game tonight and was going off of stats. You saw it so I'll take your word for it. Based on his stats it looked like he had his best all around game in a while. I still see the potential but a change of schemes would have to accompany it.

There's definitely a place in the league for pg thats are scoring orriented. If Dallas and San Antonio can make it work then its definitely possible.

what the hell are you talking about??

    Just joining the club!

I think you need to join the Britney Spears club and stop taking the drugs because no one even said that in this discussion. Grow the hell up and quit bringing that stupid crap up again.

LMFAO, Hutchence I am your number 1 fan. That's bad for you because the way I'm running you'll probably get fired tomorrow.

  3. I don't root for the Magic to lose and I never will. However, I don't get nearly as depressed when they lose anymore. The thought always pops into my head that maybe its one loss closer to Napoleon being kicked out the door. Its a fine line but thats my thinking on the subject.

Is there anyone here that thinks things will be different next season if things stay the same? I don't see how they could.

  4. Magicman, here's the starting lineups of the teams I mentioned earlier. Notice how many years they have in the league.

    Chicago Bulls

    Kirk Hinrich - 4 years

    Ben Gordon - 3 years

    Luol Deng - 3 years

Andres Nocioni - 3 years (He does have alot of FIBA experience)

    Ben Wallace - 10 years

The only other notable player with experience is PJ Brown. The rest of the team is very young.

    Cleveland Cavaliers

    Daniel Gibson - Rookie

Larry Hughes - 8 years (still only 28 years old)

    Lebron James - 4 years

    Drew Gooden - 4 years

    Zydrunas Ilauskas - 8 years

The Cavaliers have a very similar roster to us. They have good young talent and alot of aging roleplayers with one foot out the door like Eric Snow and Donyell Marshall

    Phoenix Suns

    Steve Nash - 10 years

    Raja Bell - 6 years

    Shawn Marion - 7 years

    Boris Diaw - 3 years

    Amare Stoudemire - 4 years

Key contributors off the bench such as Banks, Barbosa, and Jones are all in their 3rd year. The only other significant veteran that usually gets quality minutes is Kurt Thomas and he is injured.

    LA Lakers

    Smush Parker - 3 years

Kobe Bryant - 10 years (believe it or not he's only 28)

    Luke Walton - 3 years

    Lamar Odom - 7 years

    Andrew Bynum - 2 year

The rest of the team is younger than the Bulls. Unless you want to count Mckie (who never plays) Kobe has by far the most experience. Odom is next with 7 years.

Now lets take a look at our roster.

    Orlando Magic

    Jameer Nelson - 3 years

    Grant Hill - 11 years

    Hedo Turkoglu - 6 years

    Darko Milicic - 4 years

    Dwight Howard - 3 years

These numbers are counting this year. You say that these teams aren't comparable but they look very similar to our team.

What makes you think Augustine can offer more then Outlaw? Augustines D-League performance? What about Outlaw's summer league performance? Same difference. Outlaw is a vet who knows the ropes.

I don't know that Augustine can offer more than Outlaw and you don't know that Outlaw is a better option. That's the whole point instead of playing the guy that won't be with the team next year lets see what the rookie can offer. I'll tell you what I do know about Augustine from what I saw of his college career. He is known for his hustle and energy (sound familiar?) and he has a consistent jumpshot from 15 feet. That sounds like more than what Bo has to offer at this stage in his career and for the record no I'm not basing it off of Augustine's D-league performance although it surely doesn't hurt my argument.

SO now your insulting me calling me narrowminded?

Absolutely not, I consider this a friendly discussion and I'm enjoying it. You're entitled to your opinion and my opinion is that you are being narrowminded on this subject alone.

BTW, we haven't missed anything yet. Right now we are in the 8th seed.

Not anymore, New York has the final spot right now.

    Legit talent? WHO?!

I can't believe that you don't see the talent on this team. This summer we were raving about how talented we had. We thought we had the best pg tandem in the league. We have 2 young talented 7 footers and no one else in the league can boast that. We have alot of great contributors on this team that have underachieved all year long. Someone has to be held responsible for that...So why not the guy that has a history of underachieving teams? Obviously he won't be fired during the season and probably not this summer either but it needs to be done.

And 5 games over .500? You act like its to late for that. What if we do finish 5 games over? Are you gonna be mad that isn't 10?

5 games over .500 would put us in 4th place in the East and I would be absolutely ecstatic with that. We would have to win at least 10 straight games with 19 remaining to pull that off. Possible yes, probable no

The only reason I see Darko leaving is Brian Hill. Otherwise I think this is the best team for him (but we really need a coach who can develop young players, seeing as how we have like 5 of them).

You know I read in a book called the The Jordan Rules a long time ago that Chicago has a very big Serbian population. It was one of the things that Jerry Krause was trying to use to lure Toni Kukoc to play for them. That could make Chicago very desirable to Darko. Just something else to make everybody worry about... : )

I didn't expect anyone to agree with me, I mean I've had some of you here like for ex. emory999 criticize me for talking about B.Hill so much, yet lately it seems he criticizes him as much as I do.

There was a good reason that I criticized you. You rant about the coach everytime you post regardless of the topic. Its gets very old and it turns the thread into the exact same anti-Hill conversation that we've seen a million times. I've hated Hill for most of the season (long before you joined) but I don't have the desire to hijack every thread with it.

battie was not traded for because we wanted his contributions on the court, it was the intangibles he brings to the table.

ever wondered why Ricky Davis was traded for him too? it sucks though that we had to trade Anderson on that deal.

We have the hockey guy to thank for that one.
