I just don't think van gundy is capable of making the right decisions come the key critical moments it has happened two years in a row. Ok it's simple in the first series against the lakers .... you should go with the line up that got you there with alston starting. And this year i actually would have made a couple lineup changes...... i think jj redick acually is our best defender of allen and would have started him at the sg. and bass is more than cable enough to guard kg. move shard to sf (he'd give pierce fits). i think in the eastern conference finals against the celics our line up should have been: meer - pg redick - sg lewis - sf bass - pf d12 - center that would have at least got us out of the eastern conference. as a coach you should be able to make decisions like this. I think vc coming off the bench would have killed the celtics cuase he can play multiple positions and so can barnes and petriuis. and gortat could play back up to both d-12 and bass and if need be he could start at pf. Okay Coach... Tell us what adjustments you would have made during the Laker and Celtics games. Both teams out hustled us in both games. It's easy to criticize after the fact. Kobe was ripping rebounds out of our bigs hands in the finals and Jameer played 6' off of Fisher. Dwight was less than dominant for most of the series. Hedo was spotty. Lewis disappeared. In the Celtics series, KG and Lewis canceled each other out and D12 couldn't escape Perk/Wallace's shadow. VC was ice cold and Redick was only somewhat effective. Rondo was unguardable, Pierce schooled an injured Barnes, while Allen was on fire. Remember, Dwight is the only star on this team. He is surrounded by 4 role players. Role players don't always put their fingerprints on a game. Stars do. -

Bottom line is the magic should won it all last season with the team the had. And the should have won it all the yr before too. Both times it was the coaching they had the players and the talent to go the distance they just needed the coach to make it happen. Same reason why riley took over when he was coaching the heat. -

But i think that bass is definetly a starter. I would love to see the magic play a twin towers with gortat and howard in at the same time though. That would be awesome -

Yeah i agree. I think the only thing that might change is the coaching if van gundy is not flexible on the line up rotation. Gortat starts everywhere but in a maagic uniform and so does bass. So you'll probally see these guys log some serious minutes at the pf position next season allowing shard to move back to his natural position at the sf. The game the magic actually blew boston out had shard vs pierce and shhard was killing him on the post. -

sweet lew is back. finally. meer -pg vc - sg peit- sf shard - pf d12 - c i think this is actually the best lineup for the magic. And they cause match up problems all over the court.

7 Games in, who's your 5th starter now?

It's funny i never i thought i'd hear myself say this but ryan anderson makes the most sense. With anderson at the pf and shard back at his natural position sf it's scarry how good the magic could be. Anderson actually plays pretty good defense and is a better rebounder then shard at the pf. Shard would own pretty much every sf not named lebron in the post and who's gonna block shards shot on three line. While i like brandon bass a combination of carter sg nelson pg, shard sf, and anderson would be too much for other teams to match up with. With howard in the middle that is down right scarry. -
guess who lead the magic in 3pt pct last seson

what's the difference between someone killing a rabbit, deer, or wressling a bear, or running the bulls. When a horse break a leg he is put down, heck people fight chickens there's all kind of sports with animals. Vick just served 2 yrs in prison non the less for dog fighting because PETA wanted to make an example of him. what kills me is the fact that not only do people kill deer and other animals but they also hang them from their walls as trophies. i find this absurd well i just hope vick can return to form and prove all the naysayers wrong.
