    WE NEED a trade....

quote: Originally posted by Sinister_Grin:This team needs a starting point guard, shooting guard and power forward. Right now this team is flat out embarrassing. Losing record at home and a bunch of fans jumping at the chance to make an excuse for this teams terrible performance. 4 straight losses at home for a team that is supposed to be legit is pathetic. Bud don't you dare to say this team need a PG, we have one that cost the team, 38mill. lmao

Why don't we go fishing in Chicago?

quote: Originally posted by Osprey23:I was thinking of the possibilities of the Bulls as a trading partner? What is the availability of Duhon and Nocioni? Chicago has not completely come out of their funk yet as far as shooting percentage, and JJ Redick may be that guy for them to come off the bench and knock down jumpers, I mean, thats all they do. Could we finagle something with the Bulls to pry Duhon away? Do we need him? I think so. Maybe Nocioni? Just some thoughts and wondering if a package of some combination of JJ and expirings could be valuable to Chicago and work out for us. I don't think Otis want to touch this roster now, and based on his "creative financing" with the Darko situation, and the trade for Ariza, i think there is not enough grey matter, for him to pull that one off....
  6. quote: Originally posted by SmackDaddy:SVG better be careful. Not sure if you guys saw this last night. I was watching the Dallas feed on NBALP. Stan was screaming at Jameer in the fourth quarter last night after Harris had consecutive possessions where Jameer completely lost him. Then when SVG caled a timeout and continued to yell at Jameer, you could see Jameer yelling back at him and Dwight along with one of the assistant coaches had to pull Jameer aside. The reason SVG better be careful is because this group of players is fresh off a season of enduring Napolean's tirades and the resulting collapse. Hopefull they all hug it out today on the team plane. Jameer is the guy who better be worried, if he do not learn how to stay on front of the guy he is guarding, if we'll be up to me he will be riding the pine long ago, because of that matador defense, which IMHO, is the cause of our defensive breakdown, as Jameer can't stop anybody penetrating the lane.

    FANS GAME THREAD * Magic @ Dallas * Dec.17th

Devin Harris and Jason Taylor will make Jameer their wife, Jameer won't be able to stop these two guys from scoring, or the penetration in the lane, making the defense brakedown AGAIN, God help us!!! The colapse will continue, until we will find a PG that will play defense.

What are we going to do when Battie is healthy?

quote: Originally posted by magicdepth:Think Van Gundy will bench Turk next year after his stats this year? or do you think Battie will step down to a reserve roll and we will stay with the Lewis, Turk combo?? Im not worried about Lewis he will come around...he has shown some signs of getting back into it he is just hot and cold right now...Just think..we had the Turkoflu last year and now look at him... Your thoughts about the line up with Battie back??? We should trade his sorry a55 with his bloated contract, let other GM to deal with that stiff, and proclaimed; Tony do so many things for us that doesn't show in the box score,I'm tired of that crap....

Does Jameer have any trade value?

quote: Originally posted by New Managment Please:First off- I am not a huge arroyo fan. I like him but he is very inconsistant. This is not an arroyo post. (pretty dumb that I have to clarify that these days) I am sick of Jameer. When he is in the game, everything slows down, the opposing PG has a great game, and he just is not a good starting point guard. He just doesnt fit. Arroyo is better sometimes but is very inconsistant and dooling is obvioulsy not a true PG. Does Jameer have any trade value now that he has been overpaid? We are 1 quality PG away from truely being elit I feel. Who will like a dwarf with a 38 mill. contract, that can't play a lick of any kind of defense? NOBODY!!!!!!!!
  11. quote: Originally posted by gporter:Jameer is only going to get better, and the Magic know that. They are giving him the confidence to grow by showing him that they have confidence in him to be their guy at the point for the next 5-6 years and maybe more. lmao, after 4 years of college and three in the NBA, Nelson alrady reached his height, and his peak, lmfao
  12. quote: Originally posted by ReeceGaines: quote: This is so bogus dude. I see all these west coast points play all the time. Nelson would get the nod over most. Just to show you don't really watch, Bibby has been injured genius. Acie Law, really? Crinneton(3rd string), the guy who can't beat out Farmar? Hinrich has been god awful. Iverson isn't even listed as the PG. I didn't read the entire thread, but its clear to me you just hate Jameer. I realize Bibby is injured, why do you think I listed Arenas. The point isnt, who would Jameer fill in for if they got hurt, the point is, which teams would designate Jameer as their future point guard (which is why I listed Law and Conley (who's too young to play much). Hinrich has been awful for less than 20 games, let's dismiss his entire career. The nuggets sometimes play Anthony Carter as a stopgap, but Iverson is as much of a point guard as Nelson is (more). Give me a break. And the teams with worse pgs than Jameer, Cavs, heat, Rockets, will make a trade or draft a future one. They won't be content like we are when we gave the extension. Bud, there is a time and a place for everything in life, NOW IS NOT the time to complaint, about Jameer, the team is winning, now just wait for the playoffs to start, if Jameer, and that is a big IF, he step up his play against guys like Billups or Kidd, and if we advance to the finals against Nash, or Parker, I guarantee you, you will see this board going nuts when Jameer will be undressed by ANY of the players I mentioned above, but now is not the time. Don't worry you will see the same guys that now are defending Jameer turned on him, LOL
  13. quote: Originally posted by djmase20:I went back and forth with a sportswriter before the season began about his prediction for the Magic. He, like MANY other kool-aid drinking experts, claimed that the loss of Hill and Darko would make us about the same as last year, even with the addition of Rashard. I explained to him about spacing, coaching, Dwight's progess, and more, and he wouldnt buy it. He even called me out by name in one of his columns. Well, now it is sweet vindication, as he actually admitted he was wrong, and that I was right. He will be publically admitting it later this week in his column. I will link it. Dam it feels good to be a gangster. Bud, you can't fault the pundants, for dissing us, we didn't win a playoff game like in 7 or 8 years, missed the postseason, in 4 or 5 years straight, even when we made the playoffs last year, we finished with a losing record( 4 years in a row), we didn't get help for years thru the draft, plus all the bad coaching we suffered, at least people that aren't fans of our team, they have plenty of reasons to be skepticals. I was hoping for a winning season this year, and at least 45 wins, but everybody have to admit, here, that never we could expect the type of high quality, focused play, that the team is showing, not in our wildest dreams. I credit VanGundy, for the mental grow up we have now on the court, for the last 7 years, we always found a way to lose close games, and we never were this good at closing games neither, that is all coaching, VanGundy is taking us to the promise land Finally!!!

Fans Game Thread - Magic @ Warriors - Dec 3

Baron will make Jameer his wife tonite, Jameer can't keep up with him, using that matador defense, I hope Dooling will be up to the task. If Dooling make Baron Davis work for his points, then we will be in good shape, they dont have anybody that will be able to deal with Dwight in the paint.

But it is still 07 fellas it is 10 years We didn't win for 10 years, we won in the 11th, so it took us 11 years to win again. ________ Baron will get his tomorrwo but GS can be scary at home he's a Magic killer but he also has to pass the ball, and there's no Kobe or no Tim Duncan on that team. Magic don't give up as many 2nd chance points and they'll be alright. Oh and guard the 3pt line, that team can shoot the lights out from there. Baron will make Jameer his wife tonite, Jameer can't keep up with him, using that matador defense, I hope Dooling will be up to the task.

Arroyo latest player to take a shot a B. Hill

Napoleon, was never supposed to be rehired, specially when I heard in the press conference the reason given for that: "WE ARE RIGHTING A WRONG", WHEWWW!!!! no, he is the best man for the job, or his basketball knowledge will take us to the top, hell no, we fired him the first time due to the players coup, and he is a friend. Of course, the hell with the fans that will suffer with this moron at the helm of the team for the next two years.

    Does Otis have a clue?

quote: Originally posted by SmackDaddy:You guys are still not getting it. I don't give a rats anus if the deal works or looks good to you. If he was misquoted, there should have been a correction and/or a retraction. But that was not the case. Our general manager did not understand the Collective Bargaining Agreement and was reported as such. It's a real shame there are apologist, uninformed fans on this board that understand the rules even less than Otis and are willing to side with him regardless of the mistake. I'm not saying he sucks. I'm also not saying the Ariza deal sucks. But having a General manager operating this franchise that doesn't understand the paramters set forth by the league that allow him to do his job successfully...well, that really sucks. Yeah, I agreed, some guys here need to take their heads off Otis crotch, for a change, lol
