    The Courtney Lee nickname thread.

I don't usually post but wouldn't miss reading on game nights, great entertainment and so much knowledge. Just want to throw out our nickname for him; "Lightnin Lee". Just a suggestion!

    NBA Allstar Page Question

Has anyone had a problem with the voting page? Maybe silly but the "vote" button does not appear on the webpage for me. Anyone know why? Thanks

    Brighthouse/FSN Thread

I've been wondering how the players themselves feel about this situation. Does this mean that cable companies nationally are not covering them? Their advertising royalties must be affected also. They really haven't had a chance to showcase their skills yet. I've read that they are not happy when they don't get the national tv spots. Too bad they don't bring some pressure to bear on their boss. Wish we could contact individual players for their feedback.

    Brighthouse/FSN Thread

I'm with BH and I just made several calls and sent emails once again. I spoke with a very nice young lady at BH who said she knew a little of what's going on. BTW she is huge Buckeye fan and said if she were home and could not see their games she would be doing the same as I'm doing. She said "she doesn't know why they just don't get rid of one of the gov't channels." She did eplain that FSN wants to charge them an exhorbinent fee to carry network and plus wants games to be on extended basic cable at an additional cost to customers. BH is willing to put on basic but does not want basic cable customers to have to pay extra. She thanked me for not calling her names as the previous caller had done. I had to laugh at that. She said we will not have coverage tonight, actually she doesn't see it happening anytime soon. Looks to me like FSN paid more than they should have to the magic and now they want BH and customers to bail them out. What do you think? Even though we can see the games on Directtv, it kills to give my money to FSN. I'm just so disappointed at this point.

Thanks Mod. and thanks for the suggestion. I will include it in my reply. I just realized something. This is my letter to the Magic. Checkout the line at top "Importance". LOW! If that is what I think it means I am really ticked off now. Is that how they think of us? Will have to shoot off another email, not that I think it will do any good but will make me feel better. lol -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: DonnaF Sent: Wednesday, October 31, 2007 1:46 AM To: Fan Relations Subject: [Possible SPAM] TV coverage Importance: Low Please forward to appropriate person. Since the Magic sold the tv rights to FSN there has been nothing but frustration and anxiety for your Magic fan base. I'm wondering why your powers-to-be did not take into consideration, that by doing this so many of your fans on cable service would not be able to follow their team on tv. I don't understand how you could have done this to your loyal fans who also helped you get your new arena passed. Many of them attended the meetings and most of us sent many emails in support. Now it sounds like the negotiations between FSN and BH are getting nowhere, and the first game is just a few days away. Are you even aware of what's going on here? It looks like we could use some Magic intervention to help settle this problem. The few games on SUN network is just not enough. We should be able to get all of them. I am hopeing you will step up and return the loyalty we have all given this organization, and see what you might be able to do regarding the negotiations so that those of us who cannot get to games will all be in front of our TV's on game night. Thank you

    Brighthouse/FSN Thread

I am new here and although I don't post, I do read and enjoy the boards nightly. I wanted to post tonight as I have been sending emails and making calls to FSN, BH and the Magic Org. Today I received answers which I wanted to share as I know you are all doing what you can also to get a settlement. I'm not sure how to do this, hope it works and I don't break any rules. lol FROM FSN: Donna, > > Thank you for taking the time to send your email. We will continue to monitor the situation and we thank you for your passion. Sincerely, Orlando Magic Fan Relations
