    Denton: Barnes Wants Pierce

It's the same reason why the minute Rivers put Allen on LeBron, Pierce finally had a rhythm (game 4). Pierce was 3-8 in game 4 with 9 points in 31 minutes. You were right about Ray Allen guarding LeBron in game 4, but Pierce still had a bad game despite resting on D against Anthony Parker throughout the game. The only game you could argue that Pierce had a good game is game 5, where he scored 21 points, but needed 21 shots to get it. This was also the game where LeBron really didn't show up on either end of the floor, one of the worst games of LeBron's career...

Think about it: if he can get shut down by a horrible defender like LeBron James, anybody should be able to shut him down... Yeah, I've been the one trying to tell everyone LeBron is NOT a horrible defender, and this series is proving it. Here's a big problem the board here doesn't realize: Mo Williams - Horrible defender Anthony Parker - Below average defender Antawn Jamison - Horrible defender Shaq - Below average defender Yet as a team they're a top defensive team in the league, I wonder why... I agree about LeBron, but disagree about the cavs. We were one of the top defenses during the regular season, however when we put Shaq and Jamison together in the front court our defense just fell apart at the seems. LeBron was the only bright spot defensively in the Celtics series. AV was the only other cav who contributed positively on the defensive end that series. As for your series, I think the biggest mistake the Magic have made is playing into the hands of the Celtics. Gortat and Howard is absolutely what the Celtics want to see out there. They love banging down low and bullying other big men. This is why Mike Brown will soon be fired: he went with Shaq and Z instead of more JJ and a lot more AV during the Celtics series, and that cost the cavs the series. You guys still have time to adjust, but obviously it has to happen now...

    Buh-Bye, Cleveland

This series really doesn't matter anymore. Whoever wins it has no chance against you guys... You probably aren't going to see any other Cleveland fans posting on here after that one. Well, I felt like posting because this may be my last post on here, at least for quite some time. Also thought you might want a Cleveland fan's thoughts. The cavs are a ****ing joke. Fact is, LeBron thinks he is the **** when he hasn't even done ****. I will tell you this: If LeBron left, I certainly wouldn't miss his ****y, arrogant attitude off the court. This guy was SMILING at the press conference. As far as I am concerned, he is just "the next MJ" that could never win it all. Of course, it is probably because we are Cleveland. I know he will leave and then go play for a **** supporting cast in NY only to turn into a basketball god and lead 11 smurfs to a championship. Honestly, I'm not sure how much I care about LeBron coming back. Do I want him back? Sure, he is amazing, and making the playoffs is better than not. But why should I want a player that doesn't even look like he wants to play for my team? At this point, I wouldn't even care if they came back and won games 6 and 7. I'm not even sure if I will watch them. I may hate Dwight Howard and KG, but I have to at least respect them for the simple fact that they bring it their all every single game. People talk about Howard's intensity, but I have never seen a supposed superstar so passive in such an important game. Good luck to you guys. At this point, I have no reason to hate any team other than my own...

Spurs prove Celtics can beat Cavs

Good point. I only have to fix a "couple" things: 1. The Spurs are title contenders while the Celtics faltered down the stretch. Compare both teams records after the ASB and get back to me. 2. The Mavericks were extremely overrated (I have been saying that for months, and I can prove it to you). The cavs are co-favorites to win it all. 3. The Mavs trade really didn't help them at all (been saying that since the trade also). The cavs trade arguably made them the favorites. 4. Orlando is not a consensus pick to come out of the east like LA is in the West. This isn't even a comparison. 5. Dallas best player is Dirk. Cleveland's best player is LeBron. 6. The Spurs have Gregg Popovich. The Celtics have Doc Rivers. The Spurs have depth and 3 stars who can take over a game. The Celtics have no depth whatsoever and only have one star who can take over a game (Pierce) and another who the cavs shut down on a routine basis anyways (Ray Allen). Nice try though bro...

    Hawks-Bucks

If I were you guys, I would want the Hawks. God they suck. When is the last time they won an important road game? Milwuakee has a great coach that emphasizes defense, similar to Larry Brown. You guys would just out-talent Miluakee, but I think they would give you another frustrating series like the Bobcats did (in terms of foul trouble and uglying the game).

Searching for forums like ours from other teams

As a cavs fan, I absolutely recommend never entering cavfanatic. Honestly one of the worst sports message boards on the web. 99% of the posters are immature teenage posters. Realcavsfans is a great site. We already have plenty of Laker and Magic posters that post there every day. The only one I know on here that does it on a consistent basis is buttermilkpancakes... It's a relaxed message board. Pretty much anything goes. However, don't go trolling in your first post. Our mods will ban newbies in the blink of an eye...
  8. LeBron did pick up a tech this game, for the record...
  9. With all due respect to everyone (except possibly Magicfan1961, who is way to serious over an internet message board), this thread has been one of the most hilarious things I have read in a while. I have broke out laughing at least 3 times reading through this stuff. It was great. All this thread needs is some pics and it will be complete. So... uh... how about that LeBron James character? Don't you guyz think he rokz???

"I got a goal, and it's a huge goal, and that's to bring an NBA championship here to Cleveland," James said. "And I won't stop until I get it." Taken literally, James' statement is newsworthy because it would mean that the Cavs' superstar, who can become a free-agent this summer, would stay in Cleveland at least as long as it takes to bring the city an NBA championship. James also spoke glowingly about the professionalism and depth of the Cavs' roster. The Cavs have the best record in the league, five games ahead of the Lakers. Does this mean all Cavs fans should become Magic fans this year and be sure the Cavs lose so he has to re-sign? (j/k, of course) why post this crap on here most of us really dont give a **** about queen or clevland. in fact the only time you matter is when we are kicking sorry arses out of the playoffs well said If that's true, why are there so many LeBron/Cavs threads on this board? Now that something is posted pro-Cavs, you get all mad. I don't think it was the article that got people upset, it was his trollish comment after his link. We get on Magic fans for this too, see Ball Junkie. Trollish comment huh? Seeing things? The maturity level of some of you Magic fans is astounding. If you can't speak to a cavs fan at at least a high school level without flaming, I suggest not speaking at all... (I would like to add this part is aimed at deadman and the guy who endorsed his post)

    Confused about playoff seating

Here is an interesting scenario: what if Cleveland has already locked up HCA throughout, and then whether Atlanta wins or loses against us determines if they are 3rd or 4th? Then, we would control who we get to play in the 2nd round (assuming no upsets in the first round). We could rest our starters if we want Boston, or play them if we want Atlanta. Interesting...
