I don't know if it is the pressure of being the leader or what, but he could have been a lot better than a 6th man.

That bear pic is mine! It is nice to know that he enjoyed it thought. What an awesome night for you all though! Wish I had the opportunity to meet my Polish brother.
  3. I agree with Nick and maybe Penny, but I also think that Darrell Armstrong should be in this conversation. He has done much for the community, played some solid ball, won 6th man honors, and...did the first layup in the dunk contest. In all seriousness, he should be considered with the other guys.

    Gortat Shirts

I was at the game Sunday night and sat next to a section that had some of the most amazing Gortat "Warlock" shirts that I have ever seen. I know that it had to be some of you guys from this forum and I was wondering who I can to get one of those things. I have been wanting to make one for a while, but that I was floored by what I saw. 1. Awesome shirts! 2. How do I get a couple? Thanks!

  8. It is funny because I was just talking about this with someone at the game last night. I had never seen it or heard about it, but my buddy was telling me that some drunk dude ran out on the court and Stuff straight up laid him out! I don't know if it was planned or not, he claims not, but that would have been good to see.
  9. I have two tickets in Section 227 Row A for the game vs. Utah. Let me know if you would be interested in purchasing them. Thanks guys!
  10. AMAZING! I had to watch it a couple of times in a row in order to fully appreciate the comic gem that was just uncovered. Patrick sounded a little froggy.

    Faith and Family Night?

I'll be honest with you Nathan...never heard of that denomination. Where is your church? I am a youth pastor at a non-denominational church. It is good times. I love ministry life.

    Faith and Family Night?

I was there! The game was awesome and I love Shane & Shane. I have seen them many, many times. I love Monk & Neagle, so it was weird only to see Trent Monk. I thought that he was good and reminded me of a mix between Gavin DeGraw and John Mayer. I wasn't so down with the chick who sang or the chaplain. I guess we have different theological beliefs...but that's cool. I was wondering what it would take to be the chaplain for the Magic? What do they do? Do they get to travel with the team? That would be an awesome job!

  15. Weird but true story... I was flying home from Minneapolis yesterday and we had a layover in ATL. Right before I board my plane I went to use the facilities...as almost anyone would. As I walk in, this man looks extremely familiar, but I have not seen him for a while and he did not have his dreadlocks. So, I did my business and left the bathroom. I told my buddy, "Hey, I think Tyronn Lue is in the bathroom." Sure enough, he walks out and my buddy agreed. I have not been able to check the board because I refuse to pay $15 for wifi at the Hilton. So, I had not known of any of these rumors about a possible trade. However, my friend and I were throwing that around and laughing about him coming to Orlando. Lue did not ride our plane from ATL to MCO, but when I got back to Orlando and checked my phone I got a buzz signaling a new e-mail. I checked it...it was the E-Magic Insider informing of a breaking news trade for Tyronn Lue. "It's a little too ironic. I really do think. It's like rain on your wedding day..."

Reactions from the Meet and Greet...

Hey guys, First, let me say that I didn't like the way it went. Right off the bat you couldn't get Howard, Rashard, Battie, Anthony Johnson (could have really cared less anyway), Pietrus, Foyle (once again, my heart wasn't broken), and Bo Outlaw to sign anything because they were doing other things. Howard was the DJ, you could only get a picture taken with Rashard and Battie, and the other guys were running game booths. Also, the park was so dark because they are not usually open that late. And, it is so big, but we were all contained in this small portion of it. So, with that said it also stank because you had an hour to get signatures and meet the players which is not enough at all. Instead of Meet the Magic, it could be called Meet A Magic Event. You really only had time to wait in one line before they got cut off. I got lucky though because my standby line got through for the photos with Rashard and Tony. So, without further ado, here is my night in photos... I decided to try to get a pennant signed. It was only 6 dollars at the game. I love the 20th Anniversary logo, but it sucked with the autos. You can barely see them. However, no use crying over spilt milk. I still got to meet the guys and interact with them a little bit. It was funny because my wife went up to Brian Cook with our son and pulled the Ricky Bobby, "Will you sign my baby?" He was so confused and gave a crazy look, but I think he would have done it. He thought it was funny though. My wife had them sign on paper, but as promised, the Lee is going to MagicalHawk. These came out really nice...wish I could keep the Lee  We met Nick Anderson who was really cool and just walking around meeting and signing for people. He had no reservations about taking my son out of my arms for the photo. He told us how he has an 11 month old of his own. Class act. Finally, we got to meet Battie and Rashard in the photo only area. They had professionals in there taking photos and then they printed them out for free. That was really cool. I would have rather had this done with each player instead of autographs. Photos with the guys are better than signatures...in my opinion. Plus, free is cool and the line moved much faster. But that is it. All in all, it was a cool night and I am glad we were able to make it. My only wishes was that Ewing was there and that I could have meet Gortat. There is always next year!
  18. Hey Guys, I am really excited because for the first time I am able to attend this event. I was just wondering who all was going and what I can expect? Are the players pretty cool with talking to everyone? Will they take pictures? Will they sign for everyone? Thanks guys! I just can't wait for Friday. Luckily Thursday's game should help with that.
  19. I am glad that they will at least be there. I don't care about the signatures as much as a photo op and being able to talk to them. At first I thought you all were saying that they weren't going to be there, in which case I won't waste my gas money. Also, I was wondering about this...it has been advertised that former Magic players will be there. Who do you think will be there? Any chance Penny will be in attendance? You know he ain't got anything else going on right now.

    Thanks Refs....

How can they talk about them not getting calls? LeBron was fouled by Jameer clearly on the floor. However, after a bit of whining and seeing that LeBron is stronger and dragged Jameer down the lane, he got the continuation call and two shots. That was crap. The only thing more confusing was that he made that shot and they didn't give him an And 1 call.

    John Hollinger Chat

quote: Originally posted by Perfundle: quote: Ant (Orlando, FL): Magic or Celtics tonight? Only one problem: Howard vs. Scalabrine. Bit of an issue there for the Cs. So I'll cautiously take Orlando ... very cautiously. Orlando has won its last 11 home games, by an average of 14.6 points, and during that time they've lost four road games. Their last win at home was by 34 points over the fourth place team in the East, and they were up by 50 points at one point. This "sav[ing] their best efforts for the road" feeling seems to be a combination of selective memory brought on by recent road wins and a sense that winning on the road is more impressive than winning at home in general. I would say that the Magic have been just as impressive at home in this recent stretch. You're right. But, in his defense, for the last couple of seasons we have been a much more known and feared as a road team than a home team. However, this season it seems to be a wash.
  24. What do the season ticket cards look like?
  25. Ahh...thanks for the reply. I am checking a few things out and will let you know, but don't hold the ticket for me.
