    The "OFFICIAL" Offseason Thread

http://espn.go.com/blog/trueho...a-free-agent-in-2010 Apparantly, Tyrus Thomas wants to opt out of his contract for next year. Everyone on these boards is talking about landing a near max-contract PF in this off-season (bosh, amare, boozer) but signing Thomas for $10 mil a year seems more realistic. "While it's unlikely he can get a starting contract at $12.6 million per year, he should be able to snag a 4 or 5 year deal in the $10 million per year range and get some security before the collective bargaining agreement changes next summer" What do you guys think? Get it done Otis.

    JOHNSON TRAVELED

We lost the same way to the Heat on November 25th. VC hits a huge clutch 3 in the final 10 seconds but Michael Beasley somehow gets into the paint for a dunk in the final seconds. BRUTAL

    The Magic Number is 6!

TIEBREAKER BASIS: (-) Tie breaker not needed (better overall winning percentage) (1) Division leader wins tie from team not leading a division (2) Head-to-head won-lost percentage (3) Division won-lost percentage (4) Conference won-lost percentage (5) W-L Percentage vs. Playoff teams, own conference (6) W-L Percentage vs. Playoff teams, other conference (7) Net Points, all games If boston and atlanta have the same record at the end of the season, Boston will get the 3 seed for being a division leader.
  8. The Magic are 8-1 since we last beat the Heat. I don't think we need to worry about 2 early season losses to Miami, our team just started to click in February. If we shut them down defensively like the last time we should walk out of AA arena with a W. Although losing this game would be a huge momentum swing for miami going into the playoffs 3-1 over Orlando for the regular season. Miami Orlando is a very real posssibility in the first round.

Cavs may have best record, but Magic are still beasts of the East

I almost hope we lose to the Cavs on Sunday and go 0-4 with them during the regular season so when we beat them in the Eastern Conference finals it will be that much better.
