  1. here's the realistic targets:

    Point Guard:

Conley is the only starting point guard upgrade.

Jeremy Lin might be an interesting backup if we go that route

super dark horse (a la Hennigan trading afflalo for Fournier)- Jordan Clarkson

    Wings:

Upgrades in order of who the top targets will be:

    1. Durant

    2. DeRozan

    3. Batum

interesting backups if we go that route:

    Courtney lee

    Luol Deng

    Jared Dudley

Bazemore but he might cost too much now

    Super Dark Horse- Harrison Barnes

    Power Forward:

Don't think we go after a starter here. think we want to let Gordon grow.

    Backups: Dwight Powell

    Center:

    1. Al Horford

    2. Whiteside

Backups- Ian Mahinmi maybe Tyler Zeller. Noah

    Dark Horse: Dwight

Level with me man... do you think there is any way Dwight wears an Orlando jersey next season? Legitimate question and not trolling at all.

  2. Len's not that good. He just plays his best games against us.

Like Philly must think Vucevic is a future hall of famer.

He's still a young 7+ footer who shows potential to at least be a starter on some teams. I would think that holds some value.

Heck if the Suns would go for it I would offer that package up immediately and then go look for a veteran defensive big on the cheap for insurance. It would be a win win for both teams. We plug our most upgradeable position and bring in a guy free agents would like to join up with.

At the same time the Suns get a really good almost all-star level C and starter level SG for their roster.

  3. last 8 games:

Hezonja offensive rating 105, defensive rating 96.3. When he's on the bench the magic are at 106.7/111.8

Gordon offensive rating 107.9, Defensive rating 101.6. On the bench- 103/112

Oladipo offensive rating 108.8, Defensive rating 102. On the bench- 98/117

bench players are killing the defense. specifically ilyasova and Watson at shooting guard. Jennings and smith have been bad.

starting lineup with Hezonja has been killing it. Lineups with two point guards (Watson/payton, Jennings/payton, Watson/Jennings) have been the point of our destruction.

Has there been any point so far where Jennings has run with the starting offense minus payton of course, and if so how has it done?

  4. Eh, the career numbers for Fournier and Parsons are almost identical and Fournier is 4 years younger.

Evan got the benefit of spending the last 4 years on teams who's primary offensive threats were Wilson Chandler, Ty Lawson, Oladipo and Vuc.

While Parsons was playing next to James Harden, Dwight Howard, Dirk Nowitzki and Monta Ellis. That's a big difference in offensive talent surrounding him. And throughout his career he's been a better shooter % (not by much, but he has) wise then Evan from both 2 and 3 point.

He's also bigger, rebounds better, averages more blocks and steals and fouls less. When guys like James and Paul George are in the same conference, I would rather have him then Evan. Especially if Evan is asking for northwards of 10 million. Chandler has potential to be an all-star if he became a number two option for a team (like he has been for the past month and a half for Dallas where he is averaging over 17 points a game). Evan may get there too, but Parsons seems much closer.

  5. Lazy reporting

"Team from player's home state likely to sign free agent player"

    I doubt Parsons leaves Dallas

But if he leaves, it'd probably make more sense to just keep Fournier.

You want to spoil all my fun don't you...

I would be really happy with Parsons if we never managed to land Durant. A future tandem of Parsons and AG would be fun as heck to watch.

  6. I'd argue your mindset is small minded because it uses arbitrary settings of what is acceptable and what's not.

I spend the previous couple of days preparing everyone for this but you guys still don't comprehend what Golden State actually is. Getting blown out by Cleveland is unacceptable because Cleveland is still a team that operates within the conventional scope of basketball. We can plan for Cleveland and though there is a talent discrepancy we can gameplan around them.

There's no doing that to Golden State. They operate on another plane. Plus their offense is a supercharged version of every offense we have issues with (based on personnel and scheme)

There not the only ones. Several of the old greats like Oscar Robertson seem to think that GS and Steph Curry are getting away with things this season because the current NBA doesn't know how to play defense. Typical "it was better in my day" mentality. The Warriors defy all basketball logic, more so then even our 08-09 team or the Nash/Stoudemire Suns because they won a championship with it and are literally dominating the NBA.
