Interesting article on young players who could be looking at some big time seasons next year. Instead of going for obvious names like Davis or Lillard, BR went a bit more under the radar. And two Magic men made it on the list. I personally think you should add Vucevic to this list too... Check out the full article for everyone else listed. Another player they mentioned was Eric Bledsode. Maybe Hennigan can make a run at snagging a player he helped choose in the draft? I would rather have him over any of the current PG's in this, he's young, athletic, and fast, fitting into the movement going on here in Orlando. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1594867-young-players-on-pace-for-monster-2013-14-seasons

Young Players who may Explode in 13-14
Ryan the Magic Fan replied to Ryan the Magic Fan's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
I put an * next to any all star game performance. I saw Dwight nail a three in an all star game and sometimes during warmups he hit 4 in a row. Doesn't mean he should ever incorporate them into his game. But your point is valid. If Orlando could ever get another rebounder, or if say they drafted Noel and he panned out well, then I could see Vuci extending his range out even further if he can do it consistently well. But like Nittany says, unless Orlando gets another good rebounder I prefer Nik staying as close as possible to the rim. -
Hedo Turk out for the season.

Can we please also get the 'dazzle' jerseys from 2000 one more time to too? I loved the blue versions of those. Maybe even a new black collor styled one too would be awesome...

Young Players who may Explode in 13-14

Eh neither can Kevin Love. And Vucci's numbers this year are very close to Kevin Love's numbers in his second year. They also have very similar games to each other. Minus the three point shooting. -
Wolters or Kabongo.

Is Anyone else enjoying watching the Lakers?
Ryan the Magic Fan replied to Orlando Magic Toaster's topic in Around the NBA/Globe Game
Welp you may not have to worry about that now, Kobe is out for the rest of the season most likely, and if they still make the playoffs too. -

Yeah those guys are officially on suicide watch over there after last night. Most of them were actually loving Tobes dunk at the end of the game too. -

I dont think anyone has issues with Afflalo it's just he really doesn't fit into the teams future plans. By the time this team is ready to compete again he will be past his prime. Not only that when he is on the court the ball normally plays through him. Same with Glenn Davis. The two together dominate the ball and tbh, I'd rather see Harkless and Harris taking there licks now and missing shots then them taking and making them if the end result is still a loss. -

I'm personally hoping that by the start of next season Baby and Afflalo are no longer in the equation. Both are good players and great guys, but I want there shots and touches in the hands of Tobias, Harkless, Vucevic, and Nicholson. -
Haven't seen it yet myself personally.
-
Yeah. ESPN may be blowing this out of pro-portion, but I'm not gonna feel bad for this dude. Clearly not the way to treat your players. I can imagine some of the teams I played for, one of the guys turning around and full on punching him in the face for some of the things in that video.

Official Game Thread: Magic @ Spurs
Ryan the Magic Fan replied to TrueMagicFan07's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Lol the one time of course that JVauhgn doesnt just walk off the court. If he did that to Pops he'd end up missing for a week. On the game note, gotta say I love how athletic our guys even look. Even with horrible shooting our guys looked like blurs compared to the Spurs. I even think Lamb may have a spot on this team if he realizes that he can fit in well with his shooting next to Harkless and Harris to spread the floor for them. What this team could really need is a solid perimeter shooter. Someone who can spread the floor, is unselfish, plays solid D, and is a solid passer. Some one who is hard working, a solid locker room guy, and will fit in on any team with any amount of playing time. It would help if he was a veteran player too, so he could coach up the young guys while we rebuild. I just have no idea where we could find a player like that in the offseason in free agency... -
It's time for a good old positivity thread, since this season has been very short on that kinda stuff. I'd like to take this time to thank our boy Hennigan for pantsing the Lakers and 76'ers in that trade back before the season began. Yes that's right I said pantsing them. Pulled the wool over their eyes. Highway robbery. Ripped them off. Stole their lunch money. Ok maybe that's all a little bit much. And although most would look at the teams records they would think the Lakers got the better end of the deal, that only tells half the story. The Lakers got an all-star center in his prime sure, but also got a player that has still not signed long term, is putting up his worst numbers since his rookie season, is proving to be a locker room cancer, and is also looking like the big man version of T-Mac after back surgery. At the same time the Magic dumped one of their more worthless contracts in Duhon on them as well. This is of course not even factoring in how bad the 76'ers got it here as well. Figuring they got a future franchise center, they instead received a head case that still has yet to play a game for them and has not even been signed beyond this year. Hennigan also at the same time got them to take on another bad contract in J-Rich. And what did the Magic get? Well we know we got a young stud Center in Vucevic, a guy who is a nightly double double and already one of the better rebounding big men in the game at a young age. But what I would like to focus on is Moe Harkless. At the beginning of the year this dude struggled to even find the court and when he did he looked lost on it anyway. Now look at the kid. He has been fantastic on both offense and defense, attacking the rim with some authority, shooting a solid clip from 3 point range, and blocking shots every where. I loved Bleacher report's write up on him (and I very rarely like what they say about anyone) in their rookie rankings: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1578762-nba-rookie-stock-watch-biggest-risers-and-fallers-heading-into-final-stretch/page/6 And when you think about the fact that he is one of the youngest players in the league? Imagine what happens when he has a full offseason of training with the team that he can maximize to his benefit. I'm not saying this kid is the next LBJ. But I think Hennigan nailed a future fringe all-star in this trade. Combined with him burglarizing the Bucks for Udrih and Harris, and I think Hennigan is a draft or two away from getting this team right back on to the path to contention.

That's freaking hilarious. Until Nick flips out. -
Really all depends on the draft. If Hennigan goes with a PG or a big man then Afflalo is sticking around for a little while. If he drafts McLemore, Shabazz or Olidapo then I guarantee AA is getting traded.

New Tomb Raider. Absolutely fantastic. I never was a fan of the older games but this one is incredible and one of the better games I have played in a long time. -

I like Arron, but I think this is a good thing. He takes so many damn shots and dominates the ball so much, I'd rather see the young guys getting some burn and taking over more. Heck this will even give Lamb the last part of the season to prove he deserves a roster spot. -

And yet even a bad game for him he still provided 15 rebounds, 10 pts, 1 block and 3 assists. -
I checked the Magic's website and there saying FSN, but when I checked FSN's scheduled programming at 7 on brighthouse it says the Panthers NHL game. I recorded it anyway just in case but is anyone else seeing this?

The Magic fan in me hopes Jameer went to Dwight and whispered in a deep voice "Don't ever... be alone..." But I bet it was just a clear the air, "Dude, why don't you come over later, lets have some dinner and call this over."

I'm a Gator fan and I don't want to deal with the headache since Josh is already on shaky ground. But to get Revis for nothing but a fifth? Damn. Yeah I'd do it.
-
Damn you beat me to it. Love the signing, it's in the 8 mill a year range from what I heard and only half guaranteed. Now if the Bucs can land Revis as well while not giving up a 1st or 2nd round pick (I do not in any way buy the talk that they are giving up that much for him) and suddenly the leagues worst pass defense is looking a heck of a lot better. I would then even feel safe in maybe risking a 3rd or 4th round pick on the Honey Badger. I don't care.
