BREAKING: Matt Barnes to Lakers (PG. 16)

Too bad that he didn't look at the schedule to see when we played Boston in the playoffs. I wish he was ready for those games.

Was it really the Cavs we hated?

I hated everyone on that team, and their bandwagon fans. Now I feel sorry for them though. And in a way I'm sorta even rooting for them. I wouldn't mind if they were second to us in the Eastern Conference.

I think what we see is what we're gonna get.

I forgot Mr. Anderson. Still though. I don't see many moves in our future. free agency started a whopping 10 days ago and you're going to say that we won't be making many moves... the season is still months away and plenty of teams can get better in those months. it's not like teams can only get significantly better within the first week of free agency or that a big impact trade can only happen in the first week of july. I know when free agency started. I know when the season starts. What's your point? I'm not saying "If we were going to make a big move we would have already." I'm saying, "I don't care how long free agency has been/will be going on, I don't think we'll be making a move." And, "I think any moves we make will be minor/predictable/safe moves" (i.e. the resigning of Reddick and potentially Barnes). Maybe at the trade deadline something big will happen. I doubt it though. Otis has a habit of letting valuable pieces sit until they become less valuable. Maybe just letting Vince's contract run itself out is the plan to get the total team salary down.

  6. This is something that no one seems to be talking about. I don't think we will be making many more moves. And definitely no big moves. The line-up explains it best. C-Dwight/Gortat/Orton PF-Gortat/Bass/Shard SF-Shard/Pietrus SG-Carter/Redick PG-Nelson/Duhon So, one more cheap wing and a third PG are the only moves we will be looking to do. That's it. This is what I think our team will be. That's a BIG line-up, and I feel strangely good about it.

    Anyone feel sorry for Vince?

I definitely feel bad for the guy. He is a great guy, and I hope he does well in the future whether it's playing for us or not.

How did we look so good against the Celtics in the regular season????

They are just playing THAT MUCH better. We aren't doing anything different (which is part of the problem). IMO, this isn't a time to point your finger, this is a time to tip your hat.

Lebron back to his old tricks

What an A-hole. Saw this on Sportsnation last week, and even that Lebron sloberer Michelle Beadle thought it was bad.

Mickael Pietrus has a gift for a lucky fan

If I am the lucky person who gets to shave his head/keep his hair, I'll change my screen name to "Hair France".... Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to a corner somewhere so that I can talk to myself bout how awesome a job I did with that pun.

It's his hair. quote: I might even let a fan cut my hair if we win the championship. No scissors. I can't give anybody scissors. I give them clippers. They can keep my hair if they want it. You're welcome. Here's a link to the interview.

The Officially New Official Power Rankings Thread

quote: Originally posted by AnotherCavsFan:I'm not disagreeing with the rankings, but I find it hard to figure out why Cleveland wouldn't be #1 on that list. Their only loss in the last 10 games was AT San Antonio. They are 6 games ahead of everyone in the East, and 4 games ahead of the Lakers, yet they are #2 in the Power Rankings? They have beaten the Magic 2-1 this year, they've demolished the Celtics, and the Hawks, I think, yet they're #2? The Magic are every bit deserving of their spot, but I don't see how they are more deserving than Cleveland. Because games played this week are weighed more heavily. And games played the week before that a little less heavily, etc. etc. And true this week you only lost to San Antonio, but the Magic only lost to Atlanta (who are statistically better than San An) Meanwhile, you beat no one of consequence, while the Magic just beat, arguably, the second best team in the West. You mention that they have only one loss in their last ten, but I could turn that around and say you've only beaten one playoff team in three weeks (1-1) while we have beaten three (3-1). That's not really being fair though. My point is, it's about who's hotter right now. And we have proven we are, because we had the chance to.
