    Off-season roster prediction time!

Ouch, some changes are definitely needed on the team! I am crossing my fingers that Travis Diener gets traded- so terrible to see him in a suit on the end of the bench. Think Jameer will still be here, not sure if that is a good or bad thing. We have a LONG way to go- playoffs went exactly as I thought they would.
  2. People- I read with the new PG thread with amusement. I don't understand how someone can claim to be a Magic fan and then disrespect a player on the team so much. It's not Travis Diener's fault that the Magic drafted him and refuse to play him. Some of you did not follow Diener's college career, have no idea of his basketball IQ or really, anything else about his game. Quoting his stats from his NBA career is a total waste of time, as the Magic have wasted his time. I have said it before, and I will say it again, I hope Travis Diener gets traded ASAP. If he isn't talented enough for the NBA, then I hope he goes and plays in Europe and makes tons of money like so many former college standouts do. I am so tired of negative Magic fans. The team is going nowhere this year, get over it and let's look ahead and get real. Seriously.

  4. I readily acknowledge that the college game is not the same as the NBA game. That being said, the only thing I base my analysis on is that Travis' four years at Marquette. He and his teammates, including Dwyane Wade, played a fast paced game and had a lot of success. Travis may not be able to save the Magic, but he will inject energy and basketball smarts into the game. He makes everyone around him better which is a great quality to have on a team.
  5. Check Diener's college stats out. Unfortunately, you can't check out his NBA stats because the team that drafted him refuses to play him on a regular basis.
  6. The Magic have a point guard; his name is Travis Diener. If given the chance he could electrify the offense. This guy has a true understanding of the game and can run a team. I truly don't think the Magic are going anywhere this season and I am starting to care less and less. I just can't understand why so much talent on the team is wasted game in and game out. Some of you blame Hill and yes, he shares the blame, but it isn't just him. Watch the tapes.

    Diener is my Countryman

I love this post! I sincerely hope that Diener gets a chance to play with another team in the NBA next year. Notice I said "play" not sit on the bench watching Nelson and Reddick underperform. I will never understand why the Magic drafted him if they had no intention of playing him. For Travis' sake, I hope the Magic don't "fight" to keep him.
  9. Marquette alum and permanent Travis Diener fan here. I am just wondering why the Magic refuse to play him or play him for 43 seconds. I am hoping they trade him to a team who will let him do what he loves to do- play basketball. Orlando is going nowhere fast with their current guards; I just don't get it!
