I seriously doubt we sign anyone unless its roster fodder. That cap sheet in 14 is going to be so clean there is no reason to disrupt it.

My previous statement was probably too broad. I meant it is extremely tough to go from not scoring in college to becoming a good scorer in the NBA. The jump is difficult. You can certainly improve offense but there are very few who go from poor shooting in college to being a 18-25 ppg player in the NBA.

You disagree and then use the example of 2 of the Top 5 players in the NBA to make your point. Guys like Oladipo who I would consider the 3-4th best player on a team or not all of a sudden going to turn into a 20 ppg scorer.

We do not want any free agents anyway. That won't happen until 2014 maybe 2015. This is a 2-3 year rebuild and Bledsoe will do nothing to change that but at least we can see what he can be. You have him for 2 years at rookie wage anyway. Also I think Afflalo would thrive in LA. He loves playing there and his professionalism would rub off on those other guys. Trade almost makes to much sense to happen anyway.

I counted 7 Ps and as far as the draft I think we take McClemore. Also this team is basically building from the ground up. There is not a single guy I would label as a franchise type player that I would be sad to see go.

Well that depends on how you evaluate talent. The Hawks and Bobcats do a piss poor job of evaluating players. Adam Morrison, DJ Augustine, some French guy, Marvin Williams, Sheldon Williams, I could go on and on. As far as what you are asking the best example is the Thunder. They took Jeff Green and Kevin Durant who were both 3s. They also took Harden right after Westbrook when no one really knew Westbrook would turn out to be this good of a point guard.

When you win 20 games you do not worry about the system you just get talent. This offseason, draft, and next season, offseason, and draft is about stockpiling assets. Then you can decide what you want to do. Drafting a player to fit a system is ridiculous. That is how teams convince themselves to take Marvin Williams ahead of Chris Paul and Deron Williams or Greg Oden over Durant.

If the Cavs pass on Noel it means something is wrong medically. This isn't a great draft but they need a big. I bet Noel drops to Charlotte if Cleveland passes.

Next year's draft has 2-5 franchise type guys and up to 7 potential all stars. To not tank would be absurd. I hope this team is horrific.

Lets not pretend that Harkless or Harris are becoming perennial all stars. The Magic just need talent period so if you feel Porter is the guy than draft him.

Oladipo and McClemore are basically the same athletically. You can teach a guy to defend. Defense is mostly about effort and good team concepts.

No next year's draft is the deepest and most talented in the last decade. No way you give up a pick to get into this years draft which is basically a crap shoot.

The draft is before free agency and once you make a pick there is a cap hold associated with that player so they would be rolling the dice anyway. Take Marion off their hands and they do a couple other things and they can go after Paul and Howard.

How are we getting pick 13. Just buying it from Dallas? We should use the TPE to take Marion off their hands and get an unprotected pick in 2014 when they whiff on Dwight and make the lottery again. I do not know if we can do that with the cap but why not.
