    Heat Rivalry? Really?

im sure im not the only one, but im proud to say that ANY team the Lequeen Shames goes to, I will hate. mostly because I HATE Lebrick " I changed team names to get more fame" James...and because any team willing to pick up that self centered queer deserves to be hated to...I love Wade and Bosh though

jefferson to dallas? move it otis!

per hoopshype : Sources told ESPNDallas.com that the Minnesota Timberwolves have been urging Dallas to part with Dampier's contract -- and draft considerations -- in exchange for Al Jefferson, who has three years left on his contract at $42 million. The Mavericks, sources said, keep telling the Wolves that they won't surrender Dampier's contract in a Jefferson deal because they have it earmarked for a Pau Gasol-type trade, such as the centerpiece of Dallas' longstanding pursuit of New Orleans point guard Chris Paul. ESPN.com Dallas Mavericks president of basketball operations Donnie Nelson said Friday that he is still "actively" trying to make a trade score with Erick Dampier's lucrative non-guaranteed contract. But Nelson, in an appearance on ESPN 103.3's "Galloway & Company" show, confirmed an ESPNDallas.com report from earlier Friday that there is suddenly a real possibility that the Mavericks will not use their vaunted Dampier trade chip. "A good chance," one team source said. Im not too worried about al going to dallas...

    any news about orlando?

all I keep hearing is other teams FA news, mixed with a few JJ redick threads. ( minus the 10000000000000000 post thread on the CP3 rumor). Does anybody know what orlando might be doing to compete with a possible LBJ, Wade, Bosh squad? I believe LBJ stays, but its looking very possible he goes to miami to create a dream team. Just wondering (outside of duhan which is a solid pickup) if we are looking to make a slash to compete? now that boozers gone and cp3 is untouchable, any other big time trade rumors involving us? maybe melo since hes not hapy in denver? something?

Chat Day- Thorpedo and Johnny Hollinger

we are about to start seeing a lot of analysts like jalen rose and thorpe ect jumping on the bandwagon, acting as if they have been magic supporters all season. im pretty sure hollinger is the only one that has been ANY SORT of pro-magic, along with henry abbott (truehoops writer). its so funny to watch these "experts" flop baack and forth like fish out of water

    trade option

lol at everyone who thinks that the blazers trading roy is completely out of the picture. sure it might take a more lucrative package than the 1 i originally suggested, but dont be fooled thinking he is untradable. theres too much talent on the blazers squad that if the right package were offered, they would almost HAVE to jump at it the way they are looking at center now AND the future. ODEN HASNT BEEN HEALTHY ONE TIME HIS WHOLE CAREER! they need to look for plan B, as much as i like our team id give them lewis and carter, and they can have bass too. they like an up-tempo style and like to shoot 3's. so they play with a small line up and go after another big in the draft, and still have oden for next year. pairing brandon roy with dwight, and jameer, and randerson and barnes and gortat and the rest of the boys is undeniably scarier than the current squad we have. i agree if i am portland i dont give up roy, but there have been way bigger head scratchers out there than this with way less returning to the boneheads who made the trade. so stop throwing me under the bus for being an ambitious magic fan

    trade option

with the blazers in (to put this conservatively) desperate need to find a big man, is there any scenario where we trade gortat to the blazers and try and steal away a youthful star in brandon roy?????? if i am otis smith, i am willing to trade gortat/bass( whichever they prefer ) and vince carter, and even sweeten the deal with a future first round draft pick. if thats all if takes to pry brandon roy, their franchise player, from their grips...we should jump all over it. they are probably willing to listen to any and all offers this point to try and save their team...and with so much young talent, they might consider such a move with VC being part of the return package. if we could make the deal where their future first rd pick comes in vc option year, they get an extra first AND an expiring contract for that season. i say we take a shot!!! thoughts?

Sun Yue 6'9 pg anyone interested???

if we could get this guy for cheap it would be a **** steal if hes as good as advertised...but i doubt wed be able to afford him hes still very young and when kobe and cp3 are complimenting you like that, teams notice...hes not signing for the vet min and thats all we can afford right now

    Ryan Anderson Should Start

he has potential to start in a year or 2 if he adds bulk, i was at the summer league in orlando this year and saw him up close when he dropped 33 on boston..hes good but needs a year or 2 in order to become a starting quality player. wont happen this year. plus your forgetting that brandon bass is young as hell and is going to improve the same as anderson, just a different ( and MUCH needed ) type of player
  13. aceofspades

    anderson and/or bass??

let me reiterate my stance, i dont mean literally replace him at C, i mean replace his prodcution...

    anderson and/or bass??

hey deadman, if he deserved it i am pretty sure otis would pay it...but unlike you some of us actually look at what people are worth not how much of a fan favorite they might be...dbag, you prolly think turk is worth 50 million too

    anderson and/or bass??

What would everyone think if the magic picked up bass AND anderson?? bass doesnt derserve the full mid-level ( although neither does gortat ) and if hes willing to come to a title contending team for less than that, we should make a strong push for birdman. i think anderson is a better replacement for gortat than bass is because of his defensive allure ( 3rd in blocked shots this past season ) but i like bass' upside a lot. what does everyone think? sign them both? or which 1 would you choose if we couldnt get both
