    orl/portland trade

Martell Webster would become a very solid starter in our offensive scheme. He is a very solid SG whose like 6'7 or something and can shoot the 3 ball all day. I wouldn't want to give up the 22nd pick, but if we acquired Webster(who is also young) through a Hedo trade and gain the 13th pick to ipck up Darrell Arthur, i'd be okay with that.

Portland/Orlando Trade Idea Rolling Into Draft Night

The way I see it is, why pay someone $118 million to no play his natural position. I agree that we are going to get better if we do keep Hedo, but I don't want to see Reshard playing PF again. It was a bad. And putting Hedo at SG is not the answer. He will have a height advantage vs every opponen, but he will get blown away by the quick SGs. He would have to run through screens all the time and thats a lot of work for a 6'10 player. So if we do keep Hedo, which I would love to do, what happens to him next summer? Are we going to let him walk and get nothing in return? Let him play as he did last year and trade him at the trade deadline, hoping we can get something worth while in return? Just a sticky situation. I would love to move up to get Darrell Arthur though, he seems like he will be a very valuable player in the NBA. Especially beside Dwight.

Portland/Orlando Trade Idea Rolling Into Draft Night

Well, Portland is unlikely to keep their first pick in the draft at 13. I think I have a possible solution to the SG/PF holes. Let me know what you guys think of this trade. Hedo Turkoglu + JJ Redick + Future 2nd Rounder for Martell Webster and Draft Pick #13 Why for Portland? From what I got through reading about Portland is they are more interested in getting a proven veteran than another lottery pick. Hedo Turkoglu can give them some leadership and give them a very solid core with Turkoglu, Oden, Roy, Outlaw, Aldridge. The team is young and need someone with playoff experience and a go-to man down the stretch. Portland could also benefit by receiving JJ Redick. He would be a solid back up in the backcourt and probably a Magic killer for years to come. Oden/Pryzbilla/LaFrentz Aldridge/Frye/ Turkoglu/Outlaw Roy/Redick Jack/Blake Definely an upgrade, and could be something scary. Why for Orlando? Martell Webster is a very promising young shooting guard who is starting to find his way. He is a big guard that can shoot lights out. Not the best defensive player, but his size should help. With the 13th Pick the Magic could have a few options.. I believe the best choice would be Darrell Arthur: He is a solid PF that could help out Dwight tremendously on the boards, he can score in the paint and is athletic. He has room to grow into something special, especially beside Dwight. Marreese Speights as well, he is another PF who could really step in and contribute. Hopefully he would be able to have a tougher mentality and not be so finese. He would be a good big man beside Dwight for years to come. With that being said, the Magic could use their 22nd pick to pick up either J.J. Hickson another power foward with a huge upside or CDR giving Martell Webster and CDR a nice combo at the 2 guard spot. Giving this, the Magic still have their MLE. They could sign some solid role players or player with experience. 2008/2009 Orlando Magic Nelson/Dooling Webster/CDR Lewis/Webser/Mo Evans Arthur/Hickson Dwight/Battie It gives the Magic a lot of options with possible lineups. They could go small ball or play big. Keep Ewing here as an assistant and you have a scary group of big man coming into the league. Eventually trading either Hickson/Arthur for that PG that everyone wants in a few years. I know long shot but ya never know.

Well..I thought this would be a good idea, to keep things going. Play a little game of Fact or Fiction throughout the forums. Start with a question, the following person will answer with either Fact or Fiction, and a reason if they wish. And ask another Fact or Fiction question. Etc. So I will start it... Fact or Fiction: The Orlando Magic will trade up on draft night.

    Portlando/Orlando Trade Proposal..Check it out

I like Hedo, but put Rashard at SF, and he will put up even better numbers. Rashard really did not get his # called enough this year. Plain and simple. He should have had the ball go through him against DET the whole series. Rashard is the most ungaurdable player on the Magic. I couldn't agree more with that. I thought that the whole time. If you have Detroit's best defender on Hedo, why not give it to Rashard. But anyways. I feel stupid now that I started this thread.. lol. I guess I should do my research next time. My fault!

He recieved that opportunity this year and everyone, including myself were not only satisfied but shocked. He performed at an all-star level all year. He always had it in him, just never had the opportunity like last year. I mean face it, he did play under Brian Hill. If Stan was here the whole time, I doubt Reshard would be here.

alright..i didn't know if he was considered untouchable. i saw a Frye for JJ trade thread on one of their forums..so it was worth a shot. although, most of the fans said no..they said they would like JJ as a back up. and i saw threads acquiring SF's... just a thought, thats all.

    Portlando/Orlando Trade Proposal..Check it out

Now..there has been a lot of talk about acquiring OJ Mayo through the draft. And obviously to do that we would have to trade Hedo. Why not get the same type of player that has already proven himself in the NBA. Brandon Roy Now, I don't know if Portland sees him as untouchable but I have seen a lot of talk on many of their forums about trading for players such as Deng and Nocioni. I have also seen a proposal about JJ Redick on their forums. Now the numbers haven't been set through yet..but listen to this Hedo + JJ + Future 1st for Brandon Roy + Channing Frye Long shot, probably. But I would feel better doing that than trading Hedo for someone not proven in the NBA. Acquire Finley through Vet Min. Acquire Najara through MLE. Draft Either CDR or Maurice Speights Nelson/Dooling Roy/Finley Lewis/Frye Najara/Speights Dwight/Battie/Gortat

The Offseason Plan..come see my opinion

I don't think Corey Maggette is coming here this offseason. Like MagicAtic said, he has room in his career for one more nice sized contract, and I doubt that he will settle for the MLE. Now if he was 32 years old, he would bite maybe. But now, no way. I really think the Magic's best option is to sign Najara to the MLE and Michael Finley to the Minimum. With doing those 2 moves, you bring 2 veterans, some toughness, and a lot of experience. 3 things this team needs. I think our bench would be that much better if we had a Finley type player. He could really help the scoring. Now I know this is probably not possible..but is Brandon Roy considered untouchable to Portland? If not, send Hedo + JJ + Future 1st for Roy + Channing Frye maybe? I am just throwing it out there, I didn't look at any #'s or anything.
