I'd like Dorsey in the 2nd a lot, but not a huge fan of Lee, I'm hoping we get CDR but word is Otis likes Lee more so we'll see. For the wolves it's about getting out of Jaric's contract as well as implementing their youth movement. They are probably gonna pick up Mayo so they don't need Jaric. Plus Redick gives them a young shooter on a small contract.

Magic trades: Brian Cook JJ Redick Timberwolves Trade: Marko Jaric Picks: 31 Jason Thompson/Ryan Anderson/ Joey Dorsey and 34 Kyle Weaver Reason: Orland wants to fill as many voinds as possible in the deep draft. They Trade with the T-wolves to get a guard that i think fits our system. Jaric can pass, rebound and defend. He has size and is adequate from three (shoots about 37%). We draft Lee with the 22 and we use the second round picks on Anderson/ Dorsey/Thompson and Weaver. Use the MLE on Eduardo Najera We would have a rotation like this: PG: Jameer/Keyon Dooling/Kyle Weaver SG: Marko Jaric/Keith Bogans/Courtney Lee SF: Rashard Lewis/ Hedo Turkoglu PF: Tony Battie/Eduardo Najera/ Joey Dorsey C : Dwight Howard/ Marcin Gortat/ Joey Dorsey What do you think?

LOL!! Yeah. I'm kinda dissappointed in some of them. Especially, Derrick Rose 6'1"? Wow.

I don't think it's a complete list but some very interesting results. Take a look. http://www.draftexpress.com/article/Entire-NBA-Pre-Draf...sults-Released-2911/ At 6'8" looks like Beasley is a small forward afterall. I'm not sure if Arthur is big enough to play Power Forward for us.

Trading Hedo Could really benefit Orlando. DO IT NOW!
Darthmagic replied to MAGICFAN4EVA1's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
People keep saying that we need to trade Hedo. We really don't need to trade him. We have two needs, Power Forward and Shooting Guard. We have Battie coming back (not saying we ia a saviour or anyhting but he is more than a capable role player) and we have Fran overseas who can join us either next season or the season after that. We have Gortat who looks like he can be a good back-up as well. We have the MLE and there are players who fit needs we have for the 2 spot (Pietrus and Childress). On top of that we have a drafdt pick and assets (JJ Redick, Future Picks, ect.) to trade up to get a potential player. That covers the two spots we need, and we didn't have to trade Hedo to fill them. We don't NEED to trade Hedo, but i'm not against trading him. Something else too, we don't need to start him either. Hedo can come of the bench and play 30-35 minutes a night. Guys, we have the potential to have one of the most flexible line-ups in the leauge. We need not mess with it. My ideal line-up would be something like this. PG-Jameer/Dooling/Armstrong SG-Pietrus or Childress/ Rush/Bogans SF-Rashard/ Turk PF-Battie/Arthur C-Dwight/ Gortat With a line up of Jameer, Pietrus, Hedo, Rashad and Dwight playing major minutes. That line-up without Pietrus took us to the ECF semi-finals. It should win us some games next year. -

I like Hedo's ability, but in all reality, this is his first year to really step up his play. Lewis has been a 17-20 pt scorer for years. And as we all have seen what Hedo can do in an expanded role, Shards role was somewhat limited this year with the position change. But Rashard Lewis has been a much productive player in the NBA over the long haul than Hedo Turkoglu no, i'm not shard was a consistent scorer for years but on a bad team. and he didn't play out of position for the magic. well yes, officially he played PF but on the court he was a clear SF. he just had to guard the opponents PF, that's all. and he's to onedimensional to be a starter on a real contender. Dude, Seriously; I need to get some of the stuff your on. I live in Jamaica and i know there ain't anything down here that powerful.

quote: Maggette isn't enough for turk I keep hearing this and i'm wondering why people are saying these crazy things. A Turk for Magette trade would be amazing for the magic. Suggesting that Turk is not enough to get Corey Magette is crazy. I love Turk, but iof we had the chance to make that trade we would be stupid to pass it up. Not only is he a much better fit, but a better player.

From a Basketball Perspective i would love if Memphis gets the number one pick. I'd love to see Beasley on the grizz. I want Seattle to get number 2 and pick Rose, followed by New York and Minnesota (no specific order). -
Trading Hedo Could really benefit Orlando. DO IT NOW!
Darthmagic replied to MAGICFAN4EVA1's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
If we are gonna consider trading Hedo. I propose this as it fills needs and still leaves us with our MLE and Draft Orlando Trade Breakdown Change in Team Outlook: -2.1 ppg, +2.1 rpg, and +0.7 apg. Incoming Players Steve Blake 6-3 PG from Maryland 8.5 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 5.1 apg in 29.9 minutes Martell Webster 6-7 SG from Seattle Prep (HS) 10.7 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 1.2 apg in 28.4 minutes Channing Frye 6-11 C from Arizona 6.9 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 0.7 apg in 17.3 minutes Outgoing Players Hedo Turkoglu 6-8 SF / SG from Turkey (Foreign) 19.5 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 5.0 apg in 36.9 minutes Keith Bogans 6-4 SG from Kentucky 8.7 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 1.3 apg in 26.8 minutes We could bring in Pietrus with the MLE and Draft a Shooting Guard like CDR. Line Up PG-Jameer/ Blake/LLE SG-Pietrus/Redick/CDR SF-Rashard/Webster/CDR PF-Channing Frye/Battie C-Howard/ Gortat/ -
Let's be real...This is what it is
Darthmagic replied to jack daniel 999's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
You are right. The Magic do need an Shooting Guard in the worst way. Not only that but they need a defensive 2 who can handle the guard and distribue like a point guard. The problem is I don't really see a player like that in free agency. The draft has O.J. Mayo but we don't have the tools to get him imo. He'd be perfect. Quite honestly the twom players i think the magis need are in the Draft. Kevin Love and OJ Mayo. Both fill our needs perfectly. Back to reality. I think our best bet at Shooting guard is Pietrus. Right price and age though he lacks the handles. He would fit best there. We need to draft a decent big. Just don't know who. -

I would love if the Magic pulled off this trde cause i think it has multiple benefits. It would give us a good defensive shooting guard and it would also free up some roster spots and playing time for other players. Golden State get: Brian Cook and Keith Bogans Orlando Get: Mickael Pietrus The trade of Hedo to Houston has been in my head for a while now. Didn't dare say it though. Houston Gets: Hedo Turkoglu and Mo Evans(S&T) Orlando Gets: Luis Scola and Shane Battier Then i'd add Chris Duhon (MLE)and Darell Armstrong (LLE) Draft-Brandon Rush Line-up 2008 PG-Jameer/Duhon/Armstrong SG-Pietrus/Redick/Brandon Rush SF-Rashard/ Shane Battier/ Brandon Rush PF-Luis Scola/Tony Battie C-Dwight Howard/ Marcin Gortat -
Magic's goal - Improve and Otis knows that...Denton
Darthmagic replied to jack daniel 999's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
I don't know about anyone else but the more i read about Otis is the more i believe in him. Otis sounds like he knows what it takes to win. I know we will have a better team on the floor. Get errr done Otis! -
Maggette, Pietrus, Childress & Deng - Who's coming to O-Town?(Denton)
Darthmagic replied to ball junkie's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Outside of Childress, I think Pietrus wolud be the next ideal pick-up. The only problem i have with him is his handles. If Jameer gets pressured could he handle the rock effectively? -

Really? Wow! I thought by keeping the core together and adding a couple complimentary players we'd be better. What do you have in mind? -

You are what i call a true Magic fan. this thread is a watershed for me from the rest of the craziness that has taken over the board. Looking back at my post i realize that we really accomplished alot during this season. I'm dissappointed we lost, but as i see it we lost on our way up, while the Pistons won on their way down. The future bodes well for the Orlando Magic and their fans.

I want to thank the Orlando Magic for an exciting season too. Thanks for winning 52 games, your division and advancing to the second round of the playoffs. Thanks for a great season. More specifically; Thanks Otis for bringing in Rashard and for the Ariza trade. I'd like to thank Coach Vangundy for bringing excitement back to magic basketball, and for taking us to the second round. I'd like to thank Rashard for that game winner over Detroit in the regular season and for playing out of position and still putting up great numbers. I'd like to thank Hedo for the Buzzer beater over Boston and his heroics in the fourth quarter of so many games and for winning the Most Improved player award. I'd like to thank Dwight for working hard on his game and getting his first all-star start, his first all-nba selection, 3 20-20 games in the playoffs and becoming the tallest player ever to win the Slam Dunk championship. I'm proud of you Superman. And last but not least i'd like to thank Jameer for showing up in the play-offs and schooling the raptors two-headed point guard monster; that was fun to watch. This team is a good team that is on the verge of becoming a great team. I have confidence in Otis and expect him to put together an even better team next year. Can't wait for next season.
