That DeQuan Jones kid looks really interesting. Seems like a high energy kind of guy. A jumper/slasher/dunker, that's for sure, also seems to be able to shoot the ball and block shots. I want more of that kind of excitement in this team. Slashers... on the Magic? Not very common the last few years hah...

Also, this deal we got is what Rob wanted. I trust his words more than I value anyones opinion on a message board. He wanted youth, veterans, cap relief and picks. He got youth, veterans, cap relief and picks. We didn't get lottery picks, we will make our own lottery picks by being bad the next two seasons. The trade wasn't supposed to make us good this season or next, but in 2-3 seasons, we'd be in a good spot with FO that know what the heck they are doing and get this, know how to value prospects and draft accordingly.

People "couldn't do their jobs" because Alex Martins and the Devos family took control of the basketball operation from Otis Smith, because he was about to trade Dwight for bubble gum. That's when Alex Martins removed decision authority from Otis. They also did not want to trade with NJ/BKN because of that Miami meeting between Dwight and Prok. Otis couldn't "do his job" because the CEO and ownership DID NOT WANT TO DO WHAT OTIS WANTED OR WAS ABOUT TO DO. They are the highest order and run this whole thing. Once Hennigan was hired, Alex gave Rob full power of basketball operations, because he had laid out a plan on what he was going to do. At first, Alex must have stayed with him to make sure he was following the (Robs) guidelines. You don't just give a new inexperienced guy the keys without at least monitoring him at first. Alex said he knew very soon after they hired him, after following on a few calls when teams wanted to pressure "the new guy" into a silly deal but didn't give in, that they made the right hire. Then he stepped away from that part of the organization and Rob and his new FO team was in full control. Stan HAS NO IDEA how this team is run now, since he was let go the same day as Otis Smith and propably has never met anyone in the new FO team. Stop the BS people.

The reason I'm excited for this season is that we don't have to center our offense around one guy and then just jack up billions of threes. Our game had become so predictable and stagnant. Now we have quite a bunch of young guys who are all looking to prove themselves. We won't have a pretty record and frankly, I'm hoping we'll have a bad record. A really bad record. Draft picks is what we want. But I'm way excited watching Vucci Mane, KOQ, Andrew, Harkless, Ayon and even Eyenga play. Not forgetting our own Harper and Liggins (who I hope we keep somehow). Solid vets in Baby, Jameer, JJ, Harrington and Arron. This may sound weird to some of you, specially those who are really negative on this whole situation, but I haven't been this excited over a season in quite some time.

That's what I'm talking about. I want a top 5 pick. I don't want to even SNIFF the playoffs this year. Fun basketball, they can do that, but don't overachieve.

I'm worried we'll be "too good", that is, too good for lottery but too bad for playoffs. We need to stink bad, not historically bad (Kitties can keep that record) but just bad enough. Don't overachieve!

I just remember some Parker having a career game against us hah... and yeah, don't remember him doing much against us with the Cavs. I remember when they got him, many thought he'd be a bench player who would whoop our behinds, but as far as I can remember he was a non-factor. Just because I'm not sure about the careers and personal lives of every single player to wear an NBA uniform, doesn't mean I don't follow the league.

Anthony Parker... is that the Parker guy who used to kill the Magic or was that the other Parker? I just remember some Parker guy doing some bad things and it wasn't Smush Parker.

There was talk that they "decided" on teaming up back in the 2008 Olympics. Just play out their contracts, act like everything is ok and maybe hint they want to stay with their teams, but want to test FA. And bam... Miami happened. I think the infamous elbow injury was made up so that the Cavs would indeed lose. Why would LeBron leave the Cavs if they'd win the championship? Would make him look way worse.

So Dwight is now officially not a member of the Orlando Magic anymore. We are rebuilding. Personally I'm excited. I won't let this affect me in a negative way. Just build it the right way next time. I have faith in Rob and the FO this time around. So... The McBob Era has officially begun.

I have a feeling Eyenga will surprise us. He might have a little breakout season.

What surprises me is that Chris Duhon has a better job than any of us and he can't stay sober.
