  1. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, even if they're wrong. Where's a good LOLCAT when you need one?
  2. At the end of the show, Dwight finally called in. He's going to be the lead guest Thursday morning, so check it out between 9 and 9:30 AM.
  3. In Orlando, he'll be on 740 AM radio. http://www.740thegame.com
  4. Dan just said Dwight couldn't join today. Sorry guys.
  5. Still hasn't been on yet, so hang in there. Hope he doesn't get bumped.

LOL discount on tickets for hawk fans in game 4 LOL

This is ridiculous. On Stubhub this morning, I saw lower bowl for less than $50 and floor seats under basket near bench for less than $80.
  8. Should we face the Lebrons in the ECF, I'd like the fans to sing Frank Sinatra's "New York, New York" when he's on the free throw line.

Bill Walton just made me turn off my radio

Walton's killed way too many brain cells for anything he says to make sense. His commentary makes John Madden's look like prose. http://www.thebrushback.com/Ar.../billwalton_full.htm
  10. Was watching this in bed, and almost woke the Mrs. up I was laughing so hard. Legler = "I admit I didn't show the Magic enough credit or repect".

Anderson said that Dwight was the most talented center he's EVER seen play, bar none. Both mike's agreed and said that dwight is improving, he's just not putting everything together at the same time. Said he needs to spend the entire summer watching massive amounts of tape of Hakeem's footwork. They came to the conclusion that if dwight develops 1/2 of the footwork that "the dream" had, he could possibly throw himself into the discussion of one of the best center's ever. Later on they had bruce bowen on. He basically said (paraphrasing) dwight has a low basketball IQ for committing dumb fouls and the DPOtY shouldn't be sitting on the bench this much because you cant help the team on the bench. and I lean towards agreeing more with Bowen than Mike & Mike and Anderson...not to the extent of low BB IQ but c'mon here, lets get real, watch yourself out there kid...when the going gets tough, the tough get going, it's old, but it fits... Since when did Mike & Mike start talking about basketball? I stopped listening/watching them because they spent little to no time talking basketball. During a period about two weeks after the Super Bowl, and before MLB Spring Training, I watched an entire week where they didn't mention basketball (NBA or NCAA) once.

    Eat it MJ-YOU'RE OUTTA HERE!!!!

He must have still thought he was playing. I'm sure Larry Brown appreciated Jordan's "assistance", talking in the players' ears while he's trying to keep them focused and pull out a win.

    Official referee venting thread.

During tonight's Celtics-Heat game on ESPN, Lisa Salters was interviewing His ******ness (David Stern) and the topic of the coaches' criticisms came up. I don't recall the exact verbage, but he basically said "to the coaches that have stood up, I'd tell them to sit back down." He went on to say that if every coach stood up to complain about refereeing, it wouldn't be a nice place. Stern then finished with something along the lines of "the coaches should feel lucky to be a part of such a great league." I know I'm paraphrasing, so I'm going to see if I can find the clip on Youtube.

Captain Jack and His Headband (Video)

Wonder if the wearing of headbands tie in at all to the amount of fouls being drawn. If so, didn't seem to work in this case...
  17. For those who missed the hourlong special "INSIDE THE MAGIC: A NEW HOME COURT" like myself, the show will be reairing on SUN Sports today 4/22 at 5:00 PM and next Wed. 4/28 at 3:00 PM.

Nice, but it's going to take me quite awhile to complain about every game Joey Crawford has officiated over the past few years.

    Controversial Stuff.

The start of next season would have been fine to make the change to blue. Seriously, I thought it was Stuffette or something. Then I thought they were trying to promote racial harmony, green Stuff has a blue girlfriend, and it's all good (or something like that). I'm not saying I'm superstitous or anything, but I almost said out loud last night "What the F is that?" when I saw this. You don't make a big change at playoff time, whether it's your starting lineup or dyeing your mascot of 20 years blue.

NBA's think, know and prove (Bill Simmons)

quote: Originally posted by Darthmagic:I just don't get this to be honest. We can't win without Hedo, but Hedo can't make the Raptors better. We won the same amount of games as last year. We are again the best defensive team in basketball, we are the second best offensive team in the game. What is up with these morons that keep bringing up these things as evidence as to why we can't win? It boggles the mind. Last year i remember a media member saying we can't beat the Cavs for the very reasons that they claim we need to beat them this year. It's a ridiculous argument. While i do believe the Cavs have the upper hand, it's not as a result of what we have done but what they have done. We are better than last year, but the Cavs are better than they were last year as well. They have an advantage at 2 positions (PF,SF) and they have a guy who can limit the effectiveness of our best player. I give them the advantage in a series against us no doubt. But as i said it's not about the moves we made, it's about the moves they made. this years Magic would kick last year's Magic's arse. Right on the money, man. I think most sportswriters are prematurely senile, as they can't remember what stance they've taken from one week to the next. Also, this year's team now knows what's at stake and have displayed a little more attitude and grit than last year's team.

Why Dwight is Overrated by ESPN's Peter Keating

I too would like to see Dwight block more of those shots inbounds to start the fast break. But then you'd stil run the risk of giving the other team a chance at an offensive rebound. I think it's just as important that the other team get the message the block out of bounds sends also.
