Seriously, I'm wondering if his rapid addition of muscle due to a new workout regimen might have something to do with his outside shots looking so badly. Never got to see him in action before the trade so I don't have anything to compare it to. I suspect that by the time this summer hits, he'll need to put in a JJ-level effort to regain his shooting form following these physical changes.

I like that Earl Clark got some burn tonight. His shot selection is atrocious. He had great energy and attacked the paint well, but his jump shots from 18 ft and further out had me cringing ala Pietrus, but Earl's had no hope of going in. But to be fair, he's just a raw young kid who needs to spend a lot of time this year (w JJ maybe) working on his form.

People said Bass should start when Ryan was starting and Bass was coming off the bench putting up good numbers. Leave it as is for now, at least until we're ready to insert another big into the lineup (Allen or the mystery big we'll eventually get).

All the starters not named Dwight shot the ball poorly last night, especially at the beginning. But as opposed to other evenings where we let that get us in a hole, they compensated for it by rebounding, moving the ball, attacking the paint to get to the line, and most importantly playing DEFENSE. Sure we didn't blow them out by 40 pts, but we played with energy throughout. And I can't believe I'm going to say this, Duhon didn't totally disappoint me because he brought the ball up the floor with a little energy. Only real downside is no Hedo Pizza Party (Papa John's half off), which you could tell the fans were really pushing for in the waning minutes of the game.

If I had to sum up the second half of this game in a byline it would be "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?".

Now that J-Will has all this free time on his hands, he's going to read your post and show up at your house to eat your liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.

There was a point during the post-game interviews where Paul Kennedy and Pat Garrity were talking to Ryan Anderson about his performance. They had cut to full screen with just Ryan visible for about 10 seconds. Then when they cut back to Paul and Pat, it looked like they had been making some kind of hand gesture and stopped about a half second before it cut back to them. I was wondering if they were clowning around when they were off camera. Did anyone else notice this?

This is my favorite bit from that article. Stan isn't afraid to call out anyone, including himself. I do think Stan needs to get all of his experimentation out of the way during the regular season. That way we don't have to try any crazy stuff in the playoffs that we haven't practiced, like when he decided to go zone during the Boston series. The best thing Gil can do to improve his position at this point is to push the ball up the court as much as possible. Stan is his closest to happy when we're getting scores in transition.

I don't think we should wear the black uniforms on the road. That should be something we reserve for our fans in our house. Since they debuted the black unis on the road at Utah, I think we've lost every road game played in them (Utah/New Orleans/OKC). The black uniforms are bad luck for us on the road. On a positive note, Dwight did make 17-20 (85%) from the charity stripe last night.

Dwight's already attempted 3 jump shots and the 1st quarter isn't even over yet (made 1).
