    Game Thread: Bucks @ Magic - 12/30/09

Interesting comments from Stan in regards to Jameer... Apparently Jameer had some family issues that made from a sleepless night last night, hence is lack of energy. He also mentioned Jameer has not been practicing 100% in fears of him getting hurt again. Stan indicated that it is causing problems and they might need to re-asses the minute distribution

    Magic TV Fiasco Version 2.0

I just saw this as well and nearly choked on my morning bagel. Now, my question is...would it be possible that all games could get moved to FSN? I find it surprising that Sun Sports is a channel we could potentially lose, yet it nearly seems to be an afterthought. If we were at stake to lose Magic games AGAIN, you would think there would be more mention of it, esepcially after the standoff between FSN and Brighthouse the past two years. Maybe I am being overly optimistic. Regardless, I am getting so tired of the greed of these cable companies and networks. Ironically, I woke up last year on New Years Day in jubiliation because I found out we now had FSN. Now, it will be the exact opposite if I wake up to find out we lost Sun Sports.

    Magic games in HD

Brighthouse actually just added Sunsports HD (channel 1031) and FSN HD (1050)

Steve Kyler loves drama. Also, full of crap.

Dwight was also on ESPN Radio on Friday afternoon with Jerry O'neil and Mike Tuck...he stated on air while he was sad to see his friends go, he was very happy about VC in Orlando and it showed a committment to winning.
  5. Not quite the ending I was expecting...I was actually thinking earlier how I truly felt we would win three straight and this would go down as one of the greatest championship runs in all of sports...unfortunately that was not the case. This is an extremely disappointing way to go out, but hopefully our guys have learned from this experience and they will come back all the more hungry next year. Championship runs are hard to make...I just hope we don't have to wait another 15 years for our next attempt. I think with the team we have in place and with a few moves this offseason, we will be back sooner rather than later. It has been a great run. This team has provided more thrilling moments than any other team in our history. They have put Orlando back on the basketball map and re-energized a city that desperately needed it. I, like many of you wanted this to end with a championship, but there can only be one...and this is just not our year. To wrap it up...Congratulations Magic on an outstanding season...a lot of good memories and I truly believe we took a huge step towards a bright future.
  6. I have heard more cheers for the Lakers in this game than in the first two combined....funny how that happens as the team is one win away from a title. Champs Sports must have had a run on Laker Gear today. On another note...I like Trevor Ariza a lot more when he just played hard...seems like he is starting to get a bit of an ego.
  7. WOW!!! So LeBron can beat his chest and yell and scream. Varjeo can make a face every play and Crybaby Williams throws balls...but Dwight gets a tech for showing passion and emotion
  8. Lebron hooks with his elbow and Pietrus gets all ball...THE SHOT STILL WENT IN...still feel the need to blow a whistle
  9. Earlier my brighthouse box decided it didn't want to produce sound...had I known (and I probably should have) that I would have to listen to Doug Collins drool like a newborn over Lebron and the Cavs...I never would have bothered to fix it.

The Kings "March" Through Dance Routine

I have checked around here and have not seen it mentioned. I wanted to bring it up to you all because I know there only people who saw this little stunt were at the game. During the ridiculous delay of game when No Neck took out Waterbug, our dance team started to perform. It was obvious that Williams wasn't terribly hurt and was actually getting off the floor. As Lebron started walking back towards the Cleveland bench, he purposely walked STRAIGHT through the Dance team as they did their routine. I mean he walked right across the logo at mid-court. He VERY easily could have walked to the side like everyone else did, but he wanted to be the center of attention. The entire arena booed him and I just thought it was an incredibly classless act. I am sure TNT made no mention of it, yet if that was one of our guys, they would have showed it from every angle possible. I just thought for a guy who is suppose to be the "face" of the NBA, that was a pretty low-class move.

  12. my power flickered for less than 2 seconds...i now have to wait 20 mins while my brighthouse box resets...maybe i will return to find us with a lead
  13. I don't think Pietrus hit him in the throat...he was probably chewing gum...it nearly looked like he was chocking on something
  14. Can someone please tell Reggie Miller that He Got Game was a relevant movie like over a decade ago...I can't stand his stupid Jesus Shuttlesworth references
  15. After the game on Tuesday, I had put this team out to pasture. I actually hoped that they would lose Game 6 just so we could end this now.... But as the day went on, I started thinking more and more about it... All the negativity surrounding the Magic these past couple of days, the way the media has never taken them seriously, the way it becomes apparent that the NBA doesn't want them anywhere near the ECF....that can all be erased with just two more victories...albeit, difficult victories. Sports is such a "what have you done for me now business." If the Magic are able to go out and take care of business tonight...many still will not be impressed, but, one half of the equation will be complete. Go out and win a Game 7 in Boston...and all of the sudden you carry more momentum into Cleveland than you EVER could have carried had you won this thing in 5...overcoming adversity can only make you stronger. Call is insanity, call it passion, call it my obesssion with the magic (no pun intended) of what sports can bring...but I think this team can do the unthinkable and I am not ready to mail it in yet. I have been a fan for 20 years, been through the good, the bad and the ugly...after 59 wins, a west-coast sweep that opened some eyes and what I still believe was a step in the right direction this season...I sure as hell ain't going to quit on them now. GO MAGIC! Sorry guys, I guess I felt the need to give myself a pep talk.
