Could you post the source or a link? I have been searching for info on Ray but have come up empty.

Carlos needs to also realize that he is only in this predicament because of his poor decision making in the last MONTH+. Play hard, play smart = playing time. Otherwise, ship their butts off somewhere else. I'm really surprised that we're not hearing more about a trade with Memphis. We can give them Darko, Arroyo, Grant (equaling a big name free agent in the offseason), Dooling, etc. Take any of those players you like and package them for Miller & Gasol and both teams are in a better situation. We're now hearing more and more from the players and media that there is a need for damage control. A trade may be just the thing to get this team back on track. Smack, wasn't sure if you would agree or not since I know your on the play Darko more wagon. But, I'm glad to see you post if Darko would bust his butt more he'd be playing more! I couldn't agree with you more. It doesn't make sense! I mean he is in a contract year but at times he looks lazy to me. His contract situation scares me!

Here is a trade rumor from a pretty reliable source. I think most of you guys know him cause I see his Magic article was posted in the Links section. I found this in his today's NBA Rumor section. He's a local guy who attends every Magic home game. He's on the court before games and in the locker room after games. Anyway, here's his take on the Magic's problem and the trade rumors: quote: The Magic

Wow! Check out this little nugget from Mr. knows everything about the NBA Chad Ford from his chat today: quote: Brett (Orlando): Would the Magic and Grizzlies entertain a deal of Grant Hill, Darko, and JJ for Miller and Gasol? Chad Ford: You're dreaming ... but I wouldn't be surprised to see the Magic package Hill and Darko. Hill's been such a bust in Orlando, this may be the only moment when they might be able to get something of value for him given his expiring contract. And Darko ... what a mess. Brian Hill inexplicably plays Battie over Darko and Darko is not happy there. I think Orlando knows that they may have a long slog re-signing him this summer. He's a restricted free agent so they can match any offer, but if they play it that way, expect Darko's camp to drag their feet, essentially holding up all of the Magic's cap space (and chance to sign other free agents) before it's resolved. A package of Hill and Darko will be attractive to a lot of teams. Interesting!

Some interesting stuff being thrown out by Brian Scmitz in his trade blog that was just posted. Check it out: http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/sports_magic/2007/01/will_magic_pull.html
  6. Great job everyone! I feel like I know each and everyone of you a little more on a personal level now and not just a "who are you post". It was very interesting reading these things. A lot of you exposed your age(surprising). Honestly, some of the basketball minds on these boards are so good I would have never guessed they were from college students. And of course believe it or not, there was more than one doctor that contributes to the boards. How many grandparents are contributing here? I was astounded! I found out yesterday that a guy is posting on here that lives 5 minutes from my house and I live about an hour from Orlando. On a personal note the Doctor Camino from Caguas, Puerto Rico is the doctor that took care of my wife and her siblings when she was young. My wife hails from Caguas. This doctor(Camino) is Davcivic's(he posts a lot on here) uncle. Ibonedteribell, who also posts a lot on here, worked with this doctor together in P.R. It's a small world.

  8. Bhnole, no wonder your so good with all that salary cap math that confuses the heck out of me. I mean you got a great bball mind too but your awesome with crunching numbers! Marc, love the Vince Carter story and the other posters that played with Vince also. I kind of pictured you as being like that. A decent athlete with some hops! Magic-4-Life, we can't get enough Kentucky people on these boards(I am too, lol). You got some great high school stats in two different sports. Any plans to play when arriving down here? Got a feeling you'll be attending your share of Magic games. One question that I'm sure you'll know something about......when are they gonna get rid of Tubby?
  9. I have always wondered about this but never had the nerve to ask. I'm also a member of the Miami Hurricanes message boards since they are my favorite team. I know we suck so don't go there please!(lol) Anyway, this morning I checked their boards, and believe me their's are 10 times more x-rated than ours, I saw a thread entitled....."while we're waiting for the championship what do you do for a living"? The response was un-believable! From lawyers to college students in the dorm everyone posted. It was extremely interesting to see what guys that I talk with frequently do. It also made the board seem much more personable and team oriented. Anyways, thought it was a good idea for us. Also list any sports accolades or accomplishments that you care too. I am very interested in that. We might have some really good ex-players amongst us! I'll go first: I'm an elementary public school Coach. Been doing it for 20 years. Yes, I'm old!(lol) Played high school ball at Montverde Academy. A small private school in Lake County. Played collegiately at Warner Southern College. A small local school here in Polk County where I live. By the time I was a senior I averaged "27" points a game as the team's shooting guard. Made 2nd team all-southern United States for small colleges. I attempted to play professionally in Venezuela and had a tryout. It went well but much to my chagrin they only allowed two Americans on each pro team. At that time(mid-80's) the U.S.A. was dominant in hoops so Americans would have taken over. Therefore the 2 Americans they took were usually 6'8 or more. Since I'm only 5'10 I got the axe! Next!

    Garnett for Grant?

I thought this thread was just some crazy, hypothetical bullcrap. So, I never clicked on it. Then this morning I was checking other websites and ran across this at Hoopsworld. It even mentions the Magic as a "possible" suitor(for Garnett). Anyway, since so many guys have posted on this thread I thought I would provide you the info: quote: KG Rumors Starting Up: Here are the facts
