Since your link references the Sabonis call the Magic got an even bigger break at the end of the first overtime I think when Paolo clearly lost control of the ball on his own out of bounds but the refs gave the ball back to the Magic …that allowed the out of bounds play with 6 seconds left that he converted …looking at the replay showing Banchero face even he knew he was fortunate lol And Orlandoholic thanks for your take on AB flagrant …AB did go for the ball but he also stuck his butt out intentional or not which took Monk legs out and was very dangerous play in terms of player safety …after rewatching we had lots of momentum at that time but a long stoppage to review all that …seemed the team kind of lost momentum after that play …our announcers alluded to that also .

So there was so much action and big plays in the game last night …but what was y’all’s reaction to the AB undercut of Monk on the dunk ? My son played competitively and when he saw it he started elaborating and saying that’s something you don’t do and he was going on and on …I couldn’t hear what our announcers were saying …but I cringed when I saw him fall then next the cameras were showing Monk get up and livid and was over in the Magic huddle in AB’s face …AB didn’t look confrontational at all looked like he was still trying to apologize but Monk looked like he wanted no part of it . Anyway, lucky there wasn’t a big fight and lucky Monk wasn’t seriously hurt . Im recording the replay of the game so I can rewatch details .

With the Denver game looming since we beat them in Orlando I don’t think they’ll take us lightly no matter how depleted our roster is …so another loss is definitely a possibility …which would drop us to 8th in the East with the Hawks in 10th whom we play Sunday. No rest for the weary …

My son screaming that in my ear over and over …tough tough loss …but what an effort and a testament to the resolve and fight this team has …we still lack PG play although it didn’t hurt us bad as last night cause Banchero was so brilliant …maybe FO will get some help before the deadline

https://orlandomagicdaily.com/posts/orlando-magic-need-find-their-poise-find-point-guard Like I’m the only one talking about needing a PG …and it was just a part of my post …I actually alluded to having all the injuries as key in our recent slide …also in regards to AB being injured I saw him in some videos walking around the court after the game fully in uniform and hamming it up with some GS players no limp, nothing …guess we’ll see if he dresses tonight but if he does we will know that Mohsley playing him 13 minutes was a coaching decision . I also have no patience left for Fultz …he doesn’t help us in street clothes …the article also alludes to the looming trade deadline and that if things don’t change soon something needs to be done.

It certainly didn’t look like anything major …I did see that though but I thought it was just temporary …guess we’ll see if it impacts him playing tomorrow night …I did think he looked overwhelmed at times with all the Warriors passing wizardry imo

Not to make excuses but JI, Fultz and Ingles missing I've lost count how many games sure doesn’t help …those are 3 key pieces to this team …AB was hardly playable tonight only 13 minutes …against the good teams the task at hand rises for sure .

    2024 NBA Draft Thread

    16. Reed Sheppard | PG/SG | Kentucky 6-2 | Age: 19.5 | Previously ranked: 22 The biggest surprise of the NBA draft cycle thus far, Sheppard has played an essential role in Kentucky's transformation into one of the fastest-paced offenses in college basketball. He has emerged as arguably the best shooter in the class, shooting 28-for-50 from 3 (56%) through 12 games, while showing high-level pace and court vision whipping passes all over the floor with his terrific feel for the game. This also manifests itself vividly on the defensive end, with Sheppard generating steals and blocks at an outstanding rate. Measured at just 6-2 with a 6-3 wingspan, Sheppard's physical tools are a major question mark, especially since he has struggled at times handling pressure and being swallowed up inside the paint as a primary ball handler versus the better teams Kentucky has faced. As good a defender as he is off the ball, he gets overpowered one-on-one by bigger players as well. For those reasons, SEC competition will reveal a lot about Sheppard, particularly in how his role evolves operating behind and alongside Kentucky's other star freshman guards. -- Givony Kid climbed 6 more spots …the entire state of Kentucky is in love with this baller

Not to be a Debbie Downer …but it’s no secret we have a losing record against teams with winning records …we lose these next 3 West coast games …which could happen …we fall out of the top 8 in the East

    2023-2024 General Game Thread

We did it with Indiana, and now we're doubling down on the ill-advised move of criticizing draft decisions that are only a few months old. What could go wrong? The Orlando Magic were right to target guards and wings with their pair of 2023 lottery picks, but early returns suggest they went with the wrong ones. Anthony Black was their pick at No. 6, and he hasn't assuaged concerns about his jumper by attempting just 1.6 treys per game. Big guards are exciting in theory, but Black doesn't have the ability to break down his man in isolation, doesn't leap out on film athletically and generally feels more like a connector than a real difference-maker. Bilal Coulibaly was sitting right there at No. 7, but Cason Wallace (No. 10), Keyonte George (No. 16) or Brandin Podziemski (No. 19) would also have provided more of what Orlando needs. Wallace, in particular, would have been a brilliant fit. He's hitting 43.9 percent of his threes and already projects as a dynamite defender. Then there's Jett Howard at No. 11, an even bigger reach who has appeared in only nine games and is shooting 31.3 percent from the field. Billed as a movement shooter, Howard often looks overwhelmed athletically and clearly needs more G League seasoning. Jordan Hawkins, George, Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Podziemski all came off the board after him, and each of them would have made more sense at No. 11. —Hughes And before anybody says Junkie is on his UK kick again this is from BR …not me

Fultz has to be guarded …you guys sell him short when he played very well last year …you could argue was the best player on the floor many games …but it kills me and the team game after game in street clothes
