I would imagine moves will be made to resolve the logjam at the 4, and hopefully get some wing help.
Please take your logic elsewhere while people are asking for insider information. Thanks.

I guess I should be glad that my new job doesn't allow me to be on the internet during the day.
It's a bigger blessing than you can imagine.

That's it, guys: Dwight Howard for Vlade Divac. The Lakers "Stealth Signed" him shortly after they exited the playoffs.
Don't diss Vlade, he is one of the key figures who ushered in the modern age in basketball, the Age of the Flop.
Seldom does a single player such an effect on the game years after retirement.
-
Go away.
Please make him. Thanks.
Signed,
Everybody else on this board with an IQ above 12.

The point is that those two are starting quality guards who were signed at reasonable deals, Jameer is not a starting quality guard anymore and was signed to a bad deal.
Please keep talking. :shard: :shard: :shard: :shard:

Andre Miller was signed for 3/9
Jason Terry was signed for 3/15
Both are much better than Jameer who is not a starting point guard in this league anymore. What a terrible Otis-esque deal.
We're going to be awful these next few years anyway, why bother paying a fast declining point guard 20 million dollars.
How are two backups (one who is a combo guard), aged 109, who have started 1 and 7 games last year respectively, a valid answer to my question?
Lol.

freaking terrible... I am losing my likes on Rob now... another dumba$$ in the making?
tired of this ownership making dumb and dumber decisions
This dude with a couple of weeks on the board and ~10 posts a day about hating everything about the Magic, Jameer, and Henny. How but you ***** off and a get a life then?
-
For all you people *****ing and moaning, what starting point guard can you have realistically signed for 6.3 mil over 3 years, with last year as an option?
I am eagerly waiting to hear these responses, they are going to be priceless.

We are getting Brook Lopez on a S/T for 5 years 100 million.
Also, Dudu extended 4 years 80 million, Shawn kemp is coming out of retirement and we Ike Austin is being resigned for 5 years 85 million.
No word yet on Rony Seikly, Doleac or Deqlerc.

As much as he has been a leader on this team for years, he truly would become the MAN on a post-Howard Magic roster. He'd not only be the floor leader, but he might be the player we rely on most on the offensive side of the floor.
Yeah that sounds awesome!!!!!!!!!!!...................wait.
-
Yeah it's great.
Now who runs point, starts at SG and SF?
Have a quick looksie at the summer league roster and pick a few.
No but seriously, is Bynum starting to look good because of the "ugly chick effect"? Before, when Dwight was good looking, nobody would have slept with Bynum, but now that on closer examination Dwight has a herpies sore on his mouth, scratching his crotch a lot, and bragging about sleeping with homeless guys, Bynum all of a sudden isn't looking so bad?
-
they only ok deal is houston but like have stated not seeing it help the magic in the long term. I dont like Bynum people think Dwight immature and act like kid then bynum acts like baby.
Yeah, but Bynum is at least an expiring, so you can get rid of him after him playing for a year same as Dwight. It's the "keep Dwight for the season" route, just minus Dwight, and by the looks of things, most people at this point want to be minus Dwight because of his antics.
-
1. I don't think Dwight is close to he douchebaggedness of Lebron. He is just a kid who has selected a few bad friends.
2. If he came back with the right attitude there would be dancing in the street.
3. I really don't believe that many people care about this outside of Orlando. It is the news story of the moment, and the media will find some new villian or hero to keep the customers happy later.
Look at your own lives. Would you want a change if you put 7 years into something and the result didn't' meet your standards. It isn't Dwight's fault that we never had a quality pass first, assist driven point guard. It isn't Dwight's fault we never had a stellar go to guy along with him. The only fault I ever saw in him was that he never fixed his free throws and he was loose with the techs.
If we want to be mad about something, be mad about the Magic not putting quality people around him. Be mad because the Magic gave Smith a job as GM and didn't pull the plug on him when EVERYONE hated him.
This is all an unintended consequence of the Magic trying unsuccessfully to put together a Champion. He has no reason to believe that now will be any different than any other year. Yes, he is handling the situation badly, but would you like it better if he "nicely" left us.
I think we should quit treating Howard like he is Jerry Sandusky's evil twin. He is just a kid (my perspective) that is struggling. No matter what happens, it has little real impact on any of us.
Ok, I am ready for your minuses.
How is Lebron worse than Dwight? Sure there was "The Decision." What about Dwight requesting a trade, getting SVG fired, knocking up a cheerleader, techs, constantly flip flopping and destroying a team midseason.
What had Lebron done that has added up to that? And this is coming from someone that really can't stand the guy, but seriously, he gets a rap he doesn't deserve.

Wow. I go on vacation for a week and all hell is breaking loose.
The more information that comes out about Dwight the more spineless, selfish and diva like he sounds. I am ready to let him go.
That being said, I would rather just take the cap break from his contract than take garbage that will eat cap space. That would be by far the worst scenario.
Regarding Bynum: Does anyone here want to sign him to a max contract after next season? Seems like that is what it would take to keep him. That seems like a lot for a headcase problem child. On the other hand, it gives us a season without Dwight were we can evaluate him and still get the "Dwighlike" cap break.
-
Who would you rather build your team around, Durant, Dwight or Lebron?
Durant is so mentally tough at the right moments. Early in the game, every time the Heat were about to run away with it, he made a bucket. I am very jealous right now of OKC and the quality of superstar the have.

Actually, I think what Martins said was there is a lot more to coaching than strategy and Xs and Os, not "winning" as you say.
The point is the same when Martins admitted they were unlikely to replace SVG with a coach as good at coaching.

Edit: I used to love to go to the O-rena to watch him play. Imagine prime T-Mac with current Dwight...
But T-Mac had DeClerq, what more could you want?

AlexKennedyNBA: The Magic are close to hiring a GM, and Mike Malone and Steve Clifford are in the mix to become the team's next coach: http://t.co/rhvd0Imp
awww man, not liking the Steve Clifford news. where did that come from. There is always a "dark horse" but not him plz.
This is why you never fire someone who is at the top of their field if you don't have a replacement in place.
When Martins said they probably won't get a head coach as good as Stan "but there is a lot more to coaching than winning games" (or something along those lines) I knew we were totally f*cked.
Heart and Hustle here we come.

All these trades are awful. By awful I mean that we would be worse off then simply letting Dwight walk.
-
Thanks Stan for being the our second best coach in Magic history (I consider Chuck Daly to be best.)
You consistently got the absolute most out of the rosters given to you.
-
No way....absolutely no way it could be worse than the last gm.
Bro, a room full of chimpanzees with typewriters could be better than Otiz.

Seems like this would work out about as well as Michael Jordon running a team.

My post was not directed at you brohan, it was directed at all the crazies out there in the internets that want insider info and don't think.
With regard to your sweaty balls: What are the lease terms and is subletting allowed? I would like to make at least 8% annualized returns. Do you have a previous rental/lease history?
