If you spend time in Savannah, go to Wiley's BBQ. He's considered the 4th ranked BBQ in the country.
Redneck nachos and ribs baby.

Honestly, most of those trolls were jareth. It was funny.
I'll try this a second time, as certain persons can't be mentioned as board cancers.
Jareth was awesome. Seriously made the board.
I do hop in and read time to time, but overall content is arguing between a few people without the gems of the past.

Wow, do you realize you just dropped the basketball version of "if you love someone, set them free"? It's not you Jameer, it's us. :sadcrab:/>
Funniest post I have seen in ages.

I'm glad you made that point and I agree to a certain extent. I'm bored so I'll continue this.
The way Novak plays compared to Korver is similar in a general sense. They are both top notch shooters. Novak is a basic stationary shooter who can't really do much else. Tell him to curl off a screen and make a split decion pass to a cutting teammate, he can't do that on a regular basis. This is something that Korver does quite well, that is making unbelievably quick decisions. This sounds ridiculous so let me explain.
For example, the Chicago Bulls ran this play for Korver called 2-Up (or something of that nature) in which Korver ran underneath the basket, the PG has the ball at the top of the key. Two screens are made for Korver, one on opposite sides of the lane. Korver screens to one side, the remaining wing player curls off the other, and the screener releases towards the basket. Korver either shoots it in stride or makes a quick pass towards the cutting screener for an inside bucket. This is just one example, some things are not well represented on paper, but Korver has the confidence of his coaches to have specific plays drawn out for him to make lightning quick decisions. This is something a Steve Novak cannot do at this point.
Experience and reliability is what Korver brings to a team aside from his shooting. He doesn't turn the ball over often, in fact he averages just 1 turnover per game during his entire career. His quickness is vastly underrated. His defense isn't a glaring defect in his game, but it does need improvement. I still say he's worth that money and we'll see during the regular season.
But don't try argue with poignant discussion because you disagree with DOM and that automatically means you are an imbecile in some fashion because he is the all knowing hubristic lord of all that is basketball as is evidenced by the following:
and to suggest anything else is to not even vaguely understand the economics of basketball.- 4

I usually don't read Yahoo.com's Kelly Dwyer, but I admit that I loved reading this segment of a recent article:
Like I said earlier in this thread, can anyone think of any player in any sport that has ever been as bad to a team as Dwight has been to the Magic this last year?

I can't possibly be the only one who finds Eskobar just really sad at this point, right?
It CAN'T just be me, right?
I mean, the dude just made a post patting himself on the back because I was slightly wrong on one minor point(he badgered me and ?4thewin, THEN offered a bet to me, before ignoring my response. But the badgering and the bet were separate. My mistake), and that was after I posted links to 4 separate threads of him acting like an obnoxious ******* while being wrong on every single point he tried to make. Holy hell.
You insult every person you talk to on this forum and act like the resident douche. Why are you so surprised when you get some **** slung back at you?

Excerpts from Stan Van Gundy interview on ESPN Radio from yesterday. Mike & Mike played some excerpts from the interview this morning and I saw it briefly on this afternoon's Sports Center. Here's a link to the podcast from Mike & Mike this morning. The SVG interview is discussed and excerpts played starting at around the 19:20 mark. http://espn.go.com/espnradio/play?id=8265227
I'm still surprised to hear SVG back Dwight and blame management for the unraveling of the relationship. SVG is blunt, as usual.
Man that interview makes me miss Stan so much.
And it's extremely enlightening to hear Stan blame the front office, which is exactly what people have been saying for some time, that that is where the root of the Magic organization is. Even more so, Stan mentioned ownership a few times very specifically.

The destruction starting with the Magic losing in the Finals as initiated by Otis is over.

Can you name a free agent in fairly recent sports history that was worse than Dwight?
He's far worse than Shaq. We offered less money to Shaq and he never ruined a season totally.
-
How can you have cap space to sign Jameer for 6.1M and not Lin for 5M
Not to single you out, but this comment here is a synopsis of the whole offseason arguments regarding signing Jameer/other people and "building a team around Dwight."

Well Dwights gonna be making a statement soon....
Can't wait to hear it from him.

I'm not trying to be a buzz kill but we still have Hedo Turkoglu, Jason Richardson, and ***** ***** on the team minus Ryan Anderson's sense of humor and Von Wafer's Mohawk.
It's about the future, and the first step is not to muck it up (if we can't get better.)

Listen, you guys need to trust that Henny isn't a total idiot and that he won't complete a trade that message board posters can tell is awful in every fashion.
Likely, he trying to create leverage by making a "bidding war."

Can someone please give a quick rundown of today? I have tried looking through the pages, but this thread is a mess. Thnx. :)

For having no cap space why spend so much on meer? We over paid him just admit it. I don't know who else is out there in our price range but I refuse to believe that was the best we could come up with. Either way the money doesn't make since.
Let me get this straight: So we have no cap space, so now why spend "so much" on a starting point guard, who very likely would have had suitors, and this concept is validated by your personal belief that while having no cap space that this wasn't the best we could come up with (which if you understand the concept of cap space, means nothing), but because of your fantastic notion of how the this situation functions, this doesn't make sense to you?
Yeah, doesn't make sense to me either.
Edit: Ooooohhhhhhh, nice troll.

So you agree with giving meer 21 mill? Let me hear you say that. You value him at 7 mill per year? Please tell me more.
What part of NO CAP SPACE do you people not understand?
I'd love to hear more of whom you were going to sign with no cap space. Please tell me more.

There is only a Truefan and he has low hanging heavy balls...according to sources.
*sweaty also.
Sources say they are for lease as well, although terms have not been determined yet.

If you call thinly veiled ad hominums blended with advanced stats basketball arguments, then yeah, it may be better for me to stay away.
What I was referring to were the posts that were alive and funny that created a sense of community and board atmosphere vs. the derogatory caustic BS I referred to above.
