its fun watching lee play because you can tell he's a basket of nerves. I wonder if he breathes on the court. When he gets calmed down he'll start hitting his shots

HUZZAHHH Lee is in the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!

why have a 15 man roster and not use all of it...never understood this!!!
Fultz4thewin replied to d12magic04's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
keep in mind that stucky didnt play until mid december for detroit so dont worry. I've never been on or seen a team (other than rec leagues for young kids where everybody is guarenteed play time) where all 12 active players get to play in a game unless its a blowout. With a 9 or 10 man rotation you allow the starters to get their minutes and the backups also to get something like 15-20 minutes. With a 12 man rotation you are splitting the time too much. The offense would suffer due to poor pacing. -
Breaking News: The Pistons trade Billups and McDyess to the Nuggets for Iverson.

hamilton might be next to go. They can probably get a first round pick and a player for him. -

Stuckey was the one who killed us last year in the playoff. stucky never "killed" us at all. he scored in double figures twice and never scored over 20 ppg. When he did score 19, he shot 38.5%. He also doesnt have a 3 point shot. Hamilton killed us. And that was the two games he started against us, so what does that tell you. Wrong again. his 19 point performance was the game billups got injured. In that game he shot 38.5%. We won that game by 25. His first start against us he went 2-7 had 6 points and 5 fouls. the final game in the series he had 15 points and 6 assists but in no way does that statline have the same impact as hamiltons 31 points and 4 steals. Therefore, you are wrong. -

Stan said something to the effect of he knows whats going on with JJ and isn't going to discuss it. Once he drops a shot, he will get into his rhythm. Kind of cryptic. I think he will continue to bring him in early and see what happens. Agreed. It's not the shot, it's the fact that this is his first real role on this team. He'll get it going soon, probably against Chi-town. its kinda funny though that he made more shots when he didnt have a role on the team.

bogans and jj are a combined 3-17 this year

OFFICIAL JJ should be benched thread
Fultz4thewin replied to Brian_Cook_Phan's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
quote: Originally posted by Skywise316:This thread is ridiculous, as would be any thread bashing any specific Magic player above the others based on one game, in this case against Atlanta. If J.J. should be benched for that game, then they ALL should be. No one guy should be singled out, they all failed. Pietrus, Dwight, & Rashard might be the only exceptions, but not totally exempt. Rashard fouled out way too soon, Dwight missed too many free throws and turned it over too much... Hope you get the picture. would an official let C-Lee get JJ's minutes thread be appropriate? Or even a Give C-Lee bogans minutes. Heck, just get Lee some minutes, i want to see what we have in him. -
quote: Originally posted by JonBoy418:The problem now is that administrators and superintendants now focus on the lower level student to increase his test grades, therefore raising the schools grade. With all that focus, the overacheiving student is being lost. If a child gets an A on the FCAT, then there really much emphasis put into further developing his education. Whereas an F student gets school sponsered tutoring sessions, he gets streamlined (which you are probably describing Smack), and gets a lot more teacher involvement. For this reason above, I do not agree that each child's education should be equal. A child with a 140 IQ should not have the same education, teachers, ciriculum and tools as a child with a 90. Education should strive for each student to try and reach the next level his or her intelectual potential, but because of the FCAT and No Child Left Behind, all the focus is on the lower level student. It's causing our low level students to become average students, our average students to stay average students and our great students to become good students. Frankly, we're creating an education system that perpetuates and strives for mediocrity. Our great students are still continuing to overachieve as schools keep including programs that deal with competition. The biggest instance of this is the late elementary-middle school math program. My youngest sister just went into 6th grade at the same middle school I went to. From 4th grade on if you can test into the advanced math section you get to learn in an honors type of setting. Right now in 6th grade she's taken Pre Algebra(something that wasn't offered to me in the gifted program until 8th grade). Now shes on track to be taking Algebra I in 7th grade, Algebra II in 8th grade, Pre-calc as a freshman, Calculus AB as a sophmore, Calc BC as a junior, and whatever math they decide to make available as a senior.

But...anybody that can explain to me why J.J. Redick got all those minutes and please point out just one good thing he did besides hitting two free throws I'm all ears... If he can't make shots he is absolutely worthless...as I've been saying the whole pre-season...he looks no different in his ability this year than last. yeah its pretty bad when our instant offense goies 0-4 -
