It would be nice to acquire the better of our pick or the Nets since I doubt we can find a way to acquire the Nets pick out right. At least at that point we probably have a 75% chance of landing one of the top 2 picks and thus not needing a talent to fall to us (which it hasnt lately). Hard to believe the best thing to look forward to this year is the damn ping pong balls again.....uggh
I hate wishing on the floating number system.... but it's the only silver lining we have right now... 5yrs after the fact.... sigh.... one day we will be good

wait, he was trying to save his job by trading for Ibaka?
what? that doesn't even make sense.
Yes, Rob needs this team to go to the playoffs this year to save his job, you knew this as well as I did... don't know your acting like your ignorant to this notion. He made the move to hit that mark with Ibaka. But again your acting ignorant.
So here P4W, read this to help your intentional ignorance:
Maybe someone else can help you.

Unfortunately all these grand trade ideas or no more than vapor... the blood is heavily in the water for the Magic, every front office knows this:
"They’re asking too much,” one front office executive said. “(The Magic) would probably like to make a few moves there, but Ibaka is the one they’re really pushing because he is going to leave. But they have had too high a price. They want a young player and a pick, two young players — you know, a package that can get them back some assets. They’re not going to get that. Not for three, maybe four months of Serge Ibaka.”
That statement says basically that the league is not going to turn over for the Magic. They know we have a sinking boat that they will be happy to watch sink.
-
News of Orlando pushing hard for a Ibaka trade is just down right embarrassing.
Rob trades away 2 young players for a rental and desperate attempt to save his job, only to come out 2 months later to try and trade away the same guy he gladly gave 2 young players for. And the word is, Rob is looking for young players and a pick.
That sir is a complete Oxymoron, by a complete Moron. Results speak, Rob is dumb.

What they said.... (looking above)
-
Yeah. He traded prospects for picks. Then selected prospects. Then flipped those prospects for picks.
He dumped every average prospect he got from those picks for future picks.
Because he wanted to be the worst team. We didn't. He made 12 second round picks. Only 2 guys remained on Philly's roster when Hinkie was fired.
So i say again, would it make you happy if we dumped Zimmerman for two future seconds because that's what Philly did.
Also i believe we traded Layman for a second round pick that we then flipped for meeks
Goodness P4W, are you Rob Hennigan? I mean if we fire Rob, does that me you go away?
You post non stop garbage defending Rob and his thoughts, his picks, his trades, his drafts, his vision and his architecting ability. Are you in bed with this guy? Is Rob black mailing you? Are you the actual GM of the Magic?

That's BS from the billionaire owner.... He can afford it..... He's the Donald Sterling of the East.
It is BS.... and guess what... the Devos family will be seeing a lot of heat with Betsy running Education... if she fails and the city of Orlando starts calling for new ownership.... the storm with be too much for the Devos to maintain their 20 year stance.
-
The billboards need to be up that read FIRE ALEX MARTINS! He ruined this team.
You know, your absolutely right. This week the thread will go up for Alex.
-
How stupid is this trade really... we would be basically give the Heat a good player that we would have to go against along with Whiteside.... and Justice...
Stupid, stupid, stupid. Those who support are only looking to this year, which is lost... dummies
-
Start the Fire....
First up Rob Hennigan, next Alex.
-
I'd do that deal.
no young players, no immediate pick that hurts this offseason. you could run a payton-dragic-fournier-gordon-ibaka crunch time lineup.
Of course you would.... and you would be wrong for doing so as well.
-
You know maybe we should change the question... too something like
Is It Time for the Devos to Sell?
-
Who is the team firing on a yearly basis? Who/what is this revolving door of management? What constitutes "more in and outs" when the same front office has been in place for 5 years? Wouldn't that technically be "one in and out?"
Ironically I believe our roster turnover has been higher than the average NBA team. Does the front office really know what it is doing?
No the front office has no freaking clue and it seems that the Devos family is more than happy to take your money for a crap product... sounds familiar huh
-
I think this could be the end for Rob....
No thinking needed Rob will head back to OKC at some point.... I'm calling it
-
Can we just close the season and fast forward to the draft.
It's way more exciting.
-
If Henny ends up trading our 2017 first rounder for someone like Dragic or Bledsoe to try and salvage the season or his job, I'm going to go nuts. This team needs to be sellers and accept its tanking fate.
Agreed
-
Also i do not care what anybody says Bismack is not worth that money... I want to trade him.
I believe we could get alot more from a player for 17min per year...Rim protection or not.
It has been a overpay. He has been very poor.
Only way it is justified if we made the playoffs and did well in the playoffs

Good win...So are we back on the playoff bandwagon because I know I am!
Trade fournier, Green, Meeks, and/or Augustine for an upgrade at the PG or SG or PG position.
Meh... with the way we roller coaster wins and losses... I'm not sure.
-
He's doing it but not on a nightly basis. He may overall be the most inconsistent player we have had this year. When he is good he is really good. When he is bad he is really bad.
Are you sure your not talking about Fournier?
-
The Blazers announcers are giving Nik Vuc all types of love, calling him Mr.Unconscious
-
Vuc = MVP tonight.... great work regardless of what happens
-
Like a few other guys if he played like this more often we'd be looking good
****, we would be looking at playoffs...
-
I have an ill feeling that Lilliard is about to go on a run....
-
Without Vuc we would way down against Portland. I still don't get the hate for Vuc, when he comes out and plays like this.
Is It Time for Rob to Go?

I am in the other boat with Rob. I questioned him at year 2 with Vaughn trying to run a spurs type system with non spur type players, forcing Dipo at point, forcing Harkless to be a prime 3, and then we "waived" Nelson. Vaughn doesn't survive year 3, and comes in his filler.
I was done with Rob at year 3 of the current 5yrs. I questioned his design from the start with the hiring of a rookie coach when we needed a Veteran Coach, like I said years ago.
Rob is just really bad at being a GM period.
