Magic going in for Chris Paul

I think a trade for Chris Paul, IF IT HAPPENS, would look something like this.... http://games.espn.go.com/nba/t...hine?tradeId=2artkqx

    Paul wants out (with link)

I really want to keep Jameer and I think we can win with him. Call me emotionally attached if you want. But when I think of all the possible situations, I can't see Jameer and CP3 both playing together unless Jameer agrees to take a huge demotion. He has the shooting to be a SG but he can't guard any other NBA 2's. I would be a lot more comfortable with this if say another contending team came into the mix and Jameer went to a team with a shot at the title instead of the Hornets who prob wanna build on Darren Collison. How about this trade: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/t...hine?tradeId=23selyd I kind of just put it together but would something along these lines be logical? I don't think Portland would become involved in a trade with the Hornets if it didn't mean them netting CP3.
  3. ?? Just thought it would be funny because of all the personalities on this board...

Ron Jeremy is one of the more stand up guys in the league, he just takes his job very seriously.

Can we just shut this **** threat down. Stick it back in the HoF. More than half of you guys don't even contribute any valid ideas but rather a combination of sarcastic remarks and STUPID, OUTLANDISH suggestions that would never happen and everyone knows it. Pisses me off the more I see it, which is everywhere.

    NBA Commissioner For A Day...

    1) Replace David Stern with someone who doesn't rig games and give superstars the upper hand 2) Give the Kings a trophy for whatever year in the early 00's they got jobbed 3) Don't allow two players sign with the same team with contracts over 20m 4) Teams who pick someone international that doesn't come overseas should be given some sort of exception (like an extra first rounder) 5) You should be able to trade consecutive draft picks by year, because who cares 6) Someone has to punch Mo Williams in the face as hard as they can before each game or they forfeit. 7) All playoff series should be shortened to best-of-5 8) Cut the regular season to 40 games
  7. It's obvious that Vince has lost a step and surely isn't as athletic as 5 years ago. What do we expect from him, 20-5-5 with 50 % shooting? That's not gonna happen. I believe as the 3rd option (behind Dwight and Jameer/new wing player), Vince would be pretty good as the load is lessened. He was the 2nd option last year behind Dwight, but a switch from the 2nd to 3rd option is a big step. Without his athleticism (which was what made him so **** good in my book), he isn't as lethal. Give him another 1/2 year to become 100 % comfortable, and if he's slightly improved, trade him at great value, and if he's not improved, trade him also. Anyway, I think his butt is out the door this summer, and out the door at the trade deadline for sure.

Magic going in for Chris Paul

Since Bosh is rumored to be as good as gone that will leave Toronto with a big hole in their front court. Bargnani is better suited to play power forward and needs a defensive rebounder type to play with. Is it possible that Otis has talked to Toronto about an Okafor/Turkoglu swap? Is Toronto that "third team" everyone is talking about? I think it makes sense. We would trade Vince and Nelson for Chris Paul and Okafor and then send Okafor to Toronto for Turkoglu. We would have a point guard and swing man, Toronto gets a big defensive player to team with Bargnani and New Orleans gets players and cap flexibility. If so this could be held up until the Bosh situation sorts itself out. It was just a thought. What do you guys think? Turk cannot play in a system where he's not the primary ball handler. He would screw up Chris Paul's flow like he did Calderon's. The only way I see him coming back to Orlando is if it's as a 6th man.

    Update from Magical

People talk as if swingmen that are good defenders and can create their own shot/put up 16-20 ppg grow on trees. Come on, they aren't a dime a dozen.
