****, I got a shock right after you vote when the meter continues to go up and than you receive your result. I thought that was the result!

LOL, that doesn't mean you are close to being gay. All that means is that you are well adjusted. The scale (as I understand it) is showing one end being a guy sitting on the couch not giving a crap about how he looks and telling people to pull his finger. On the other end (at 100%) would be Liberace (super flaming). 10-40% looks pretty normal and 50% and up is getting a little on the fem side.

Lets put it this way, chicks dig the guys that aren't telling people to pull their finger! I'm pretty close to were you are NBR, I scored a 33%.

Great explanation Marc. I also got 33%, lol.

  2. NJ just lost to Philly 86-99. This makes 2 losses in a row to 2 top lottery bound teams. This was the first game of a six game road trip playing Dallas, Houston, SA, Mem, and NOK. Then they play at home vs. the Heat. It is VERY possible that they end up on a 8 game losing streak after the Miami game. The Magic really need to take advantage of other teams losing and win their own games. This is definitely going to be a fun & close playoff race.

  3. In this thread, we'll keep track of our playoff hunt as well as the progress of the other teams in contention. Currently we are chasing these teams:

    6. Indiana (29-29)

    7. Miami (29-29) - we own tie-breaker

    8. New Jersey (28-31) - they own tie-breaker

    9. New York (28-33) - they own tie-breaker

    10. Orlando (28-33)

Indiana is sliding, losing 5 in row (welcome to our world). Miami won't hold up for much longer...I HOPE. I think they have the same strength of schedule like us. Jersey has a tougher schedule than us and don't have much left in their tank. And, NY isn't for real, especially w/o Crawford.

Now, we have 21 games left in our season and I honestly think we can go +.500 for the remainder of the season (IMO 13-8). Since Ariza came back, we have looked better and better. Yes we've lost most games, but you can tell it's only a matter of time we start clicking on ALL cylinders and make a run. Last night was a good taste of what this team can STILL can do.

Let's buckle our seat belts and enjoy the most exciting part of the season. It's time for our fellas to put up or shut up!

The Jersey papers yesterday were all over Vince to tell him what Ratner(Nets president) was saying about wanting to sign him. They also told him Ratner said he didn't care how much he went over the cap if it meant Carter re-upping with them.

    Vince's response?

"It's nice to hear that the owner values my services that much. I'm glad he's so supportive."

In other words he didn't lead them on "ONE BIT" that he was going to re-sign there. This was even after the reporters told him Ratner was willing to break the bank!

Is there really any doubt that he's gonna opt out? Not with me.

    Junkie, here's the article's link.

What's funny about this article is the title

    "Ratner remark thrills Vince" lol.

  6. Thanks Big. As far as JRich...I love that guy (no homo). He'd be excellent here but I think we'd have to give up too much for him as the Worriors lack a front court and have a plethera of wing players. We don't have anything they want unless we part with Darko...and you know that answer.

  7. Here is some wishful thinking:

With new talks of Rashard Lewis saying he will opt out, I am assuming this will force the Sonics into rebuilding mode. With that said, could a possible trade for Ray Allen work out using Grant Hill's expiring, Turk, Dooling, and some fillers? THEN, with whatever capspace we have, bring in Vince as a FA to play our starting 3. Of course I haven't factored in capspace into the equation but I'm sure someone will point out the flaws in this scenario.

    Our new lineup would be:

    Meer/Diener

    Ray Ray/JJ/Bogans

    Vince/Ariza/Hill (if he resigns)

    Darko/Battie

    Dwight/Gortat/Augustine

Is any of this at all possible? I know a long shot but is it doable?

Chad Ford: (12:41 PM ET ) Tell that to GM Otis Smith who has been saying for days that the team is doing nothing and that he "likes" his team. What are the Magic paying him to do? The team he likes isn't very good right now ... they need wing scoring desperately and they have an asset in Grant Hill's expiring contract that could land them a really talented player. It amazes me how much a few GMs in the league get paid to do nothing. You've got to be proactive and I don't think the Magic have been.

Ladies and Gentlemen, if we do not make any moves today, we will officially be the laughing stock of the NBA. GREAT to be a Magic fan.

More tightlippedness (sp?) from OS? Or foreshadowing quote?

I guess we find out in a matter of hours.....

    Why not just say 100%?

****...I hate reading stuff like this.

Cheer up MagicMan, this just Otis being a GM. Would it be smart if he came out and said, "Some players won't be on this team on Friday"? Then all hell would break loose. I don't read anything into this other than there are some things in place.

    25 hrs and counting...
