  1. If you knew any player on our team was reading our board, what is some advice you would give him? Please, no BASHING!!! This is real talk to real guys so be respectful.

Since this is my thread, I'll start.

Darko - keep shooting those 18-footers. That's your shot and we need you to consistently make those. Maybe try spending extra practice on them like Yao Ming in that commercial.

Their loss means we stay in 8th place. Tomorrow is a big game for us.

Games to keep track of tomorrow night:

    NJ @ Orlando

    Miami @ Indiana

    NY @ Cleveland

I'm hoping we win and everyone else loses; that will be HUGE for us.

  3. Here's the article for those who are too lazy to click the link (i'm one of them, lol):

    The new Jordan rules

By Dan Wetzel and Adrian Wojnarowski, Yahoo! Sports

    March 20, 2007

Several NBA team executives are angry with what they call an unfair advantage that Charlotte Bobcats minority owner Michael Jordan has due to his exclusive access to future NBA prospects in his Jordan Brand All-American high school game and Flight School camps, and they want the commissioner's office to forbid his involvement.

Across the league, executives are decrying what they consider to be the new "Jordan Rules" of the NBA.

"Danny Ainge ends up seated next to Kevin Durant's mother and gets fined $30,000, but Michael goes out and plays one on one with [top high school prospect] O.J. Mayo and it is not a problem?" one Western Conference general manager grumbled.

    "It's a conflict of interest."

The issue stems from Jordan's myriad roles within the basketball landscape. All at once, he's a minority owner, general manager, a retired icon, a marketing pitchman and sneaker executive.

In his role with Nike's Jordan Brand, he has operated both his annual All-American Classic

  4. More good news for us, Calderon is battling an ankle sprain and might still be out for this game. He's missed the Raps' last two games. AND, Anthony Parker is still trying to find his form after recently returning from an injury. His last 2 games have been HORRIBLE and still might not be 100% tonight. All signs are pointing for the Magic to win....which is why I think we lose, lol.

  6. OK everyone, by yahoo's standings we are in 8th place (tied with Nets for 7th, but they hold the tie-breaker). If we win tonight, we'll be 7th seed...alone. Another game to watch is Indiana @ SA. And, last night, JO hurt his knee he's been having problems with. It's very likely that Indy will shut him down for the season thus taking them out of the playoff chase. This will leave NJ, NY, and US fighting for 2 spots. I'm pretty confident that we make the playoffs this season. Good for two reasons: 1) Give our guys experience in that type of atmosphere, and 2)give Detroit a crappy pick.

  7. Here's an article

    The problematic prospect

    By Adrian Wojnarowski, Yahoo! Sports

The father of the most intriguing NBA free agent in years sounded somewhat startled to hear of the sudden scramble surrounding his son. No one in the pros has called Ralph Morris about his kid Randolph at the University of Kentucky, but rest assured, the junior's status has sent several franchises searching for a simple answer to a complicated question.

Do we have a shot to sign Randolph Morris right now?

"As far as I know, he's not entertaining any thoughts of leaving Kentucky during the season," Ralph Morris said by phone from his Atlanta home on Sunday.

Since the start of the college basketball season, several NBA teams closely have studied the unusual circumstance surrounding Randolph Morris. They've made calls, asked around to agents and kept checking with sources to make sure no one else was beating them to a contract offer.

Suddenly, more and more executives are hustling to decide how they should handle the reality that the center is no longer an immature, poorly conditioned 6-foot-11 project, but a leaner, more polished prospect. In this climate, the kid just needs to say the word and he never has to wake up for another 8:30 a.m. class.

Morris could sign a contract today, leave school and wear an NBA uniform immediately. "A team would be within our rules to do that," NBA spokesman Tim Frank said.

Even the worst teams in the league don't need him now, but they don't want to risk losing Morris later. This isn't so much a salute to a prodigious talent

  8. First, welcome to the boards.

Second, some of us agree with you. I haven't seen much of him EVER, but the little I've seen...I know he's our best pure POINT GAURD. the kid can make others around him better. He doesn't play cause Napolean is an A$$. I want him to get his PT in the league, but I don't want him to become another "Magic Killer". I hope we retain him this summer and handle the other 2 correctly.
