Why doesn't Diener ever play? Hope he gets traded!!!!
Nyce_1 replied to KT's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
First, welcome to the boards. Second, some of us agree with you. I haven't seen much of him EVER, but the little I've seen...I know he's our best pure POINT GAURD. the kid can make others around him better. He doesn't play cause Napolean is an A$$. I want him to get his PT in the league, but I don't want him to become another "Magic Killer". I hope we retain him this summer and handle the other 2 correctly. -

Yes, they should all be on TV; TNT, ESPN, ABC

But I would get rid of Bogans, before Dooling. You're right, I would to. I posted this before Dooling started to ball-out. Bogans would be the one odd-man-out.

I also got us going #1 with Durant. http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/8080/no2pickyk6.png

Why can't we sign both? Blake will be cheap (3-4 mil) and, IMO, Vince won't be as expensive as most think. Maybe $8-$9mill. Check out my off-season plans in this thread... http://orlandomagiczone.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/88910298...131084543#8131084543

Plane Fact: Coach Fumes At Howard, All OK

The team is in a playoff race for the last spot and our STAR player wants to be late for the airplane?!?!?! I would've been just as angry. What kind of example is that? Around this time of year, with the position we are in, we need EVERYONE to be focused; not almost missing team planes. I understand Dwight is our franchise player but he gotta do better than that. If this was earlier in the season, he would've been benched for the first half. Let's see if you say the same thing when Dwight, will get fed up with Napoleon, and will like to hold a$$ for good ala Shaq and Tmac. See how many rebounds then Napoleon will get for us....As far as we know Howard isn't a troublemaker.... You're right, Dwight isn't a trouble maker; but he's not above the law. The team has rules and he broke them. Simple as that. BHill wasn't wrong in this situation. If Dwight had a problem getting to the airport, CALL the coach, or if you knew you were going to be late, LEAVE EARLIER. What if Dwight missed the plane, is it Hill's fault for leaving him or Dwight's for not getting there? When you're the FRANCHISE player, you're not supposed to be doing things like this. If Dwight wants to get mad, then so be it; be on time. However, this is just one occurance and I doubt it happens again. -

Poll/Discussion: Diener/Dooling Maybe The Missing Pieces The Run/Gun Offense
Nyce_1 replied to ~O~'s topic in Orlando Magic Forum
I personally think Dooling is better suited to come off the bench. He had a good game last night but he shouldn't start because of it. If he starts, our bench becomes incredibly weak. Who's energy and defense would then come off the bench? I rather have Diener start and run our point then bring in the hype man, Dooling. -
lol. you're right. my bad.

Nyce more Hutch. Was about to get ugly in here.

I'm happy with the results tonight but I know there's more work to be done and I'll continue to look for ways to make our team better." See Brian, it's not a mea culpa, it's not getting up the and saying "Knappy is right, I suck". It's not even getting into specifics about your mistakes. It's just doing what your players and your general manager have done already. Taking responsibility! Show me I'm wrong, find me one quote. Only good coaches talk like that. Instead, we are stuck with: "I don't know, I don't have an answer for that." or "We were just missing our good looks. They're gonna start falling." or "We came out flat; had no energy out there."

Schmitz insinuates Arroyo, Bogans will be traded--thinks J.J.'s time is now(blog)
Nyce_1 replied to ball junkie's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
quote: Anybody know why Bogans is being punished? He is our best 3pt shooter percentage wise and he plays solid defense. I tend to think he hasn't produced the way we know he is capable of. But then again, who has? IMO, Bogans is the most selfish player on this team. He doesn't pass on fast breaks or setup other players while running the half-court offense. I've never seen him make that extra pass to the better shooter (JJ). With him, it's like he's trying to score all he can while losing focus of the TEAM concept at the same time. He's a solid defender but his BB IQ doesn't help the team. Again, this is just my opinion so be merciful when attacking me. -
Was Jameer really the source of the collapse last night? My analysis.
Nyce_1 replied to ThisIsTheYear's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Nyce work, man. And I've thought this all year but never posted it but another reason why Meer's assists numbers are low is because players miss open shots. Getting assists is a two-way street; one player has to make the good pass to the open man, the receiving player needs to knock down the open shot. Another thing that doesn't help is the number of ISO players/plays we run every game. That will certainly erase any possible assist. But, in conclusion...good research and post. -
Welcome to consistent minutes, JJ and Keyon!
Nyce_1 replied to MilitaryMagic's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
I want JJ to shoot the ball more than anyone but teams are plotting for him. His defender doesn't let JJ leave the sight, and that's what you should do vs. shooters. To get him more involved, we gotta set good picks to set him up off the screen. Hopefully we'll see some in the next game. -

Arroyo also have more control of the ball than dooling. I understand that Carlos is not playing good but remember that this isnt our 1rst victory. Numbers aren't everything. Dooling offers a lot more intangibles than any other PLAYING PG we have/had. Anyone who watched the game will tell you Dooling was the KEY to our win.

Yeah, the flopping was out of hand. There was a report that came out that said the NBA was thinking about calling technical fouls on players who are believed to be FLOPPING. This will affect the whole Suns team, the whole Bulls team, Manu Ginobli, and a few other lazy defenders. However, this was a good game. Dirk and Steve came to play.

I'll wait until he proves me wrong. I'm with Tejiendo. This was just one game and I want him to play like this more often/consistent. However, as stated in my other thread, I do want him on this team. He's a good team player. I think He and Diener should share backup PG duties for matchup purposes. Tell Carlos to pack his bags.

Yeah, I also think we're one of the few who actually care about this thread. It's very informative. Thanks again MM.
