And by morons, i mean cavs fans...possibly the stupidest fan base in professional sports.

I believe it was an honest mistake on shard's part, but i can't get mad at people for calling him a cheater because technically he is...intentionally or not.

    Real Radio: Best show

i always thought the monsters were terribly overrated around here...i listened to them in the car during mornings after howard went to sirius, but a lot of their discussions and bits just weren't that good. I used to love drew garabo. I can remember during the year of the hurricanes he was doing a show that had me rolling while i was waiting for the power to come back on. Philips Phile is meh and i don't really listen to any of the others. so yeah, i didn't vote because i'm not completely informed.

    Expectations for Next Season?

yeah guys...i mean there is just so much magic related news. We just can't let the board get cluttered by stuff like this. I mean between the bull**** insiders, jj threads and all the prognosticating about the first great asian pg, we can't have stuff like this cluttering up the top of the board. seriously...the ibtl **** is so old. It wasn't ever really funny and i think it discourages more (and better) discussion because people are afraid to post.

WOuldn't you? however, i do admire your amazing ability to bring jj into every discussion you take part in. It's not like it's pathetic or anything

I don't know, since I don't see color). And you still haven't answered my question, PEC: What point guard has gotten better after leaving a Phil Jackson led team? Hell, maybe she'll answer if someone else asks. Or maybe, once again, PEC has made a blanket statement in direct defiance of anything even casually based in reality, and is now refusing to own up to the fact that she has zero working knowledge of basketball history and will resort to making retarded statements, and then back them up when her BS is called out to her to liberally quoting Wikipedia. It's the way he composed his post that comes out bad, but some just love that stuff. I don't. One thousand pardons, my gentle mistress. I didn't mean to upset your frail sensibilities. Now answer the question. WHAT POINT GUARD GOT BETTER AFTER LEAVING A PHIL JACKSON COACHED TEAM? I'll even make a deal with you. You name 5 examples of that supposedly hugely common occurrence, and I swear to Natalie Portman I will not post on this board for a year. I'll even go on such a rant of profanity that the Mods will HAVE to ban me for that much time, if that's what you want. All you have to do is name 5. 5 examples. All I ask in return is that when you inevitably can't think of 5 examples, you admit you were wrong. That's it. Come on, PEC. Step up to the plate. There was Ron Ha... oh wait. Derek Fis... nevermind. BJ Arms... nah. John Pax... Meh I tried. it appears they weren't very good when they were with him either... are you serious. Ron Harper was amazing in his prime with Jackson. Derek Fisher in his prime with Jackson was a beast and still manages to play well despite his age. John Paxson hit a game winning shot with the bulls... lol...are you for real? Please tell me this is sarcastic. I have never heard the words "amazing" and "beast" used to describe ron harper and derek fisher. They are both solid players, but jeez...get ahold of yourself.

Pick and rolls and dump it in the post and spread out. The point is, anyone w/ out a learning disability could pick it up within a few weeks. if i can only pick from the available FA list, i pick carter. However, i'm still hoping that otis has one more trick up his sleeve this offseason.

    Celtics sign the landlord.

ok...the celtics just made a move that puts them over the top... ...for ugliest team in the nba

This. and we got him for pretty **** cheap too. And we were not a championship caliber team last year with JJ in the rotational mix especially during the playoffs? good point...redick was the weakest player on our finals team, i guess that gets him a point or something.

  20. quote: Originally posted by 135BPM+:My sources tell me the bobcats are trying to trade for Grant Hill and get Christian Laettner to come out of retirement. LOL You actually think Michael Jordon would trade for JJ and have him and Gerald Henderson leading the Bobcats in the middle of Tarheel country. His ego will not allow it. GO MAGIC!!!! so he won't trade for a guy from duke, but he'll draft one...
  21. quote: Originally posted by murphy13: quote: Originally posted by Drunk on Mystery: quote: Originally posted by 135BPM+:Thanks for all responses. To my surprise there were only 2 Redick sucks responses. All and all some very good opinions of why people feel Barnes will get minutes. The response I liked mentioned what makes up champinship caliber teams. To me the Magic were a championship caliber team last year with JJ in the mix especially during the playoff run. Heck, Courtney Lee makes that layup or Dwight hits those free throws who knows what would have happened. I not saying Barnes sucks. He is a good athletic player that can run the floor. I just don't see him having anything locked up over JJ. Someone said he hustles. Redick doesn't? Some say he's a good passer and can shoot the 3. Better than Redick? Hmmmm. Some say a good defender, some say not so good. Better than Redick. That remains to be seen. Redick did a pretty darn good job during the playoffs and probally actually played as much for his D as his O. Some say Stan is high on Barnes during press conferences. I don't doubt that at all. He also is high on JJ in pretty much any press conference he has been asked questions about Redick in. The bottom line is we don't know what the rotation will be. That's what training camp is for. GO MAGIC!!!! Your contribution to this thread, this board, and I would have to guess life itself is nonexistent. Your comments are petty and uninteresting. I'm imagining you dying right now, and it makes me smile. whoa, just whoa...if you werent a vet on this board i would suggest a suspension for wishing death upon someone... don't go nuts...he ONLY said that the guy dying would make him smile...it's not like he called him retarded or something because THAT would be crossing the line. The mods here are a beacon of fairness and everything that is right inthe world.

We won't pay a backup 5mil Gortat on line 1 for you.... Pietrus on line 2 and Bass on line 3 pietrus was brought in to start, it just didn't work out that way...and bass is a BIG making like 4 mil. oh, btw...5>4 Pietrus is a Back-up on this team..NOW Gortat is a Back-up on this team NOW(until he agrees to be traded) Bass is at $4 mill, which the rumor states Felton would sign for under $5mill, which I know $4mill is under $5mill So, I know we all can make up things to make our own statements sound better, but in the real world it is what we have now that counts. I was going by what I read was the rumored amount and it was below $5mill... If Otis is going for a Championship this year he can trade 2 guys for one that can play both positions, and get cheap Minimum guys to fill out the roster... Like a Bowen, and a Lue to be 3rd string Point Guard.. my point is that they aren't going to pay 5 mil for a pg that has no chance to start unless there is an injury. Bass could very well start on this team and we won't be paying the majority of gortat's deal.

Barnes played last season in Phoenix, where he helped prompt a wild skirmish against Houston when he came to the defense of point guard Steve Nash, who was fouled excessively hard by the Rockets. Barnes waited for the right moment, then crushed Houston guard Rafer Alston who was setting a pick. Alston called it a cheap shot. Barnes called it a tradeoff. Nash later thanked Barnes." http://nba.fanhouse.com/2009/0...ve-magics-toughness/ I'm not saying that Matt needs to go out there and beat the crap out of opposing players. But it's good to have someone on the team who could potentially do that. If nothing else Matt will give us scrappy play and some toughness. good point, we haven't had an enforcer on this team since brian cook left
