Player I liked most 4 Magic, Paul George, is flying up draft boards, unfortunate.

In other news, Luke Babbitt claims to be a stretch 4/combo forward, clearly the Magic's dream prospect. I think he's delusional, but I do like his game. If Steve Nash were a SF, he would be Luke Babbitt.

Drew Bledsoe with the buffalo bills?

There is a reason why Doc Rivers has not put the ball in KG's hands very often. I think in these series, Rashard has had the better feet out of the two, better movement. Van Gundy's has yet to make any type of gameplan that has yet to keep the ball in lewis hands. Matter of fact, he has never thought of Lewis as a player that can play closer to the post.

  3. Stan Van Gundy has done a poor job with his gameplan thus far. Dumping the ball to Howard and creating an offense based on him. While this has worked in the past and is nice to stick to a good known gameplan, we can safely say it has been exploited. Howard is not a go to offensive player.

I don't need to agree with the poster but it is not hard to agree that Stan Van Gundy has failed to create a gameplan for his team. I will withhold my judgement but this has to change starting today.

Also I'm hearing Stan taking responsibility for the poor play from the players the same as he did in the first season. I thought we had moved on from those days. Stan should see it as it is and quit taking blame for the players poor play.

Honestly, as long as we get our head together when the playoffs comes this won't matter.

  5. Someone has to be blamed for these loses. The player are just weapons that serve the coaches purposes. This team has enough talent to be winning a lot of these games and at this point it is safe to realize that the players can only go as far as their leaders.

In your opinion, and not a biased fan opinion but rather as a student of the game of basketball. Are the coaches the reason why our players are underachieving? Have the players grown tired of Stan Van Gundy? Or are the players simply underachieving?

I know there are things that need to be fixed. But I think that will come with a few more games.

About the refs, in the NBA it is usually give and take, meaning you'll get a bad call here, and there, but they also make those bad calls in favor of us sometimes. Not call a foul or travel, etc. I think the refs do need to figure out of to deal with Dwight, he does get too many bad calls against him, but Dwight also needs to learn to go around that stuff and produce one way or the other.

I do think the Miami game, at least that last shot, the goal tending, or offensive basket interference, wasn't called. But that doesn't excuse all the missed free throws and bad shots and lack of defense the guys showed.

Basketball in the nba is a game of double standards. We don't say anything against bad calls against the opposite team but when it happens to us is the end of the world.

The Miami heat was one of the worst defensive games I seen the magic play. I saw a lot of players standing around as if they were watching the game. The magic must have thought that the Heat pick and roll was nothing more than an amusement.

    Moving forward...

I thought the Magic played some hard nosed defense against the Hawks, and they didn't let them get comfortable. The hawks is a team that won't survive against this magic team if we were to hit the playoffs next week.

Yep, SVG is to blame for all the miss FTs, the missed rebounds, and O'Neal showing up a DPOY.

SVG is the reason VC and Pietrus fouled a 3 point shooter....

Also if anyone listened to JVG and Hubie on the situation, they preached it best.

yeah lets forget he wasn't playing all 5 reserves at once or anything.....

I sure hope that we were watching the same game.

  9. The players became very lazy near the end of the game. That first player was dwight howard as he was doing more standing around and silly fouling than anything. Missing ihs free throws as always. Jason Williams should have made at least 1 of those shots as well near the end but we can't throw the bucket on him for this lost. The magic need to redeem themselves against the Hawks because last night was just a horrible effort defensively for this team. Vince Carters defense is also horrible.

There is nothing that can be done about this. The draft is nothing but a means to acquire the rights of a player to play in the league and that is it. All general managers know there is a risk involved and they still do it. What do you think the nba could do about this? Send a letter out to warn teams in the dangers of drafting overseas?
