    DOOLING will be missed???

I like how he plays, great defense but not like a PG. I would like to see him and Arroyo stay under Stan Van Gundy system. Dooling would be a good backup for JJ and we should give Arroyo the oportunity, under Gundy system, to be the starting PG. I think the new team overall is going to perform better under the new management.

I agree... I think he is going to perform better under SVG.
  4. quote: Originally posted by OsoTommy:Carlos had better numbers on his previous teams because they had better plays to run than our two stupid plays of give the ball to Dwight in the low post and disapear or the other one of clear for Jameer to shoot the ball. With Detroit, the ball was in constant movement so were the players. If you don't believe it watch a Pistons game and try to count the numbers of picks, and pick and rolls they execute in just one play. Same case with Utha. Arroyo was in heaven getting pick and rolls from Kirnenko and Booser because he knew that a pass to any of them will mean a basket. We don't have any of that in this team. Our offensive plays are boring, predictable, static (no movement), plain and simple a disaster! That's the reason why this team none of the point guards have high numbers in assists (yes, what's good for the goose is good for the gander of Jameer). We need a new coach and a new point guard. I don't think that Carlos should be a starter but he would do a great job as a replacement for say Chauncey. OsoTommy, you are right. I think is time for Brian to bring some new and better plays.
  5. quote: Originally posted by Nos:Jose, Arroyo is very talented but the Magic fans need to know what happened with his previous teams to make a decision about who should start. quote: Detroit Free PressFebruary 7, 2005 "He needs to know what we're doing after missed and made baskets. He's holding onto the ball too long. Instead of making the simple play he's trying to make the spectacular play. We just need to get him more comfortable with what we're doing." -- Larry Brown A Jazz site that is no longer open has a glimpse into his troubles there. Postings at Jazz site more posted comments I still wish him success, but feel he is suited to being a backup if he will run the plays. Wish the Jazz had not traded Deshawn. The Magic were winners in that trade. That comment was in the first two(2) weeks of playing with the Pistons. He was starting to learn the Larry Brown style. I think right now Arroyo is a more mature PG and maybe he can continue producing similar numbers like that if he become a starter. But right know he have to do that coming from the bench, a more dificult task, to prove he deserves that position. Anyway until now I like how Howard and the team are playing with Arroyo. Let's see what happen with the time.
