  1. The Celtics are playing much better basketball than they were in regular season. The aging big 3 have finally allowed Rondo to take control of the team and it has helped greatly. The Celtics are finishing games, something they weren't doing in the regular season. There is a reason the Celtics won the championship 2 years ago. Garnett, Allen and Pierce are playig great and Rondo is a beast now. They are just a really good team. I don't think the Magic are doing anything wrong, the Celtics are just really good.

Your thoughts on this comment on Dwights Blog

I think people tend to underestimate just how good of a post defender Kendrick Perkins is. He excels at making guys catch the ball in the post much further out than they are accustomed to. Fans can lash out at Howard all they want but it's hard to dominate offensively when you are catching passes further away from the post than you want to be. The Magic need to do a better of job of getting the ball out of Howard's hands, rotating the ball and letting Howard reset so he can catch the ball deeper in the key where he can use his dominant athleticism to his advantage.
  3. I like what Dan Gilbert said in his press conference a couple of days ago. He said the Cavs are about more than Lebron James and are committed to winning. I truly believe that. I have seen so many highs and lows with the Cavs and Cleveland sports in general that I know there will always be hope again. Whether Lebron leaves or stays. Gilbert will build a team that can win. Hopefully the Cavs have a real coach next time. I hope Lebron stays and I still think he will, but, if he does leave, at least there won't be a bunch of morons all over Cavs and other NBA boards trolling and ruining the reputation of legit Cavs fans.

    Who Would You Rather See?

Any intelligent Cavs fan would not tell you that last year was a fluke. The Magic were just better. Better coaching, better game plan, better execution. Couple that with Rafer playing out of his mind and the Cavs were done for. I would like to see the Cavs play the Magic in the ECF

    We're Better without Carter..

Skip's job is to tick people off, period.

It's going to get banned prolly for making too much sense, so here's what I put: quote: You can't just go around throwing the ban hammer because someone disagrees with you, that's stupid. No wonder so many Cavs fans post on the Magic boards now. If someone went on here and randomly typed "LeBronZZ suxxxors!" and that was all they typed, then yeah, that's trolling, ban as you wish. But when you have a thread where fans are calling a player (Howard) classless because he does a few impressions? He had a Vitamin Water commercial last year where he did impressions of Arnold, Rick James and Stan Van Gundy all in the same commercial. He's done impressions of Shaq and Charles Barkley as well. That's not classless, it's what he does, it would be like calling Frank Caliendo classless for impersonating John Madden. Don't be so surprised when Orlando fans come firing back saying LeBron is classless, they do after all have a lot more ammo. Nobody has ever seen Dwight do the following: - Do the stanky leg on the court while beating up on another team. - Not shake hands and run off the court after a loss. - Have cameras removed after someone dunked on him. - Throw his sweats on the ground while a towel boy had his hand out to get them. - Milk an injury as an excuse. Again, I'm not trying to troll. I'm just showing the other side of the argument, hence why I chose the name I chose (it's supposed to say "devilsadvocate" but whatever). Nobody should be thinking about the ECF yet. Cleveland still has to get past Boston and even at 2-0 Orlando still needs to be focused on Atlanta. May the best team win. It will be interesting to see if you get banned here but your last 3 points about Lebron are going to raise issues. Accusing Lebron of having the cameras removed is going to rile people up since it was Nike that removed the cameras. No player in the history of the NBA has ever handed his warm ups to the ball boy (I am exagerrating, but might not be far off). Show me a clip of Howard handing his warm ups to the ballboy of the opposing team and I will admit Lebron is a jerk. Lebron doesn't say one word about his elbow, the media does. Blame ESPN not Lebron. Lebron shot his free throw left handed after he asked Mike Brown to take a timeout because his arm went numb and Mike Brown didn't hear him. I really don't think he is milking the injury, I believe it hurts him sometimes. I do believe it has been way over hyped by the media. Maybe someone at Cavsfanatic will be able to rationally post back to you and yo can have a conversation, even if you did tick them off a little bit.
  8. A lot of Cavs fans see Dwight as a whiner. The mocking he does of Charles Barkley and the love of Lebron comes off as complaining and not just good fun. It doesn't bother me, but it bothers a lot of fans. And to HighAngle, I can see why they might have banned you if in your first post you called Lebron a whiney girl. I am pretty sure I would have been banned here if I came on and in my first post said Dwight is a whiney girl. Unfortunately for mods of these types of forum boards, there is so much trolling going on they have to be almost over sensitive to it.

And you can refrain from calling them retards then you should be fine. We're all fans, which means we're all biased towards our team. Just the way it is. And you guys should be biased, that's what makes someone a fan. And I'm not dumb enough to think I am going to come on here and make everyone like Lebron.
  10. Well, this game got out of hand quickly. Magic started really turning it on

That's been cleared up today by the Brian Windhorst. He also went through practice today with no pain or flare ups. I think he's been playing it up a little bit. Tomorrow's game will tell.

    All NBA Defensive Teams

I think Lebron's defense is better than you guys give him credit for. He guards several positions (pretty much anywhere but the 5), and not just the team's weakest player. Howard guarded Z last year in the playoffs against the Cavs. Was he any less of a defender because he didn't man up Lebron? Of course not.

It's his ticket to leaving without feeling guilty. That game showed that Cleveland will have a very tough time winning anything without James playing at maximum effort and effectiveness. Cleveland simply does not have the manpower to play a mre well rounded game. The elbow gives him an excuse if they lose. He can say he did everything he could, and it isn't his fault the rest of the team wasn't able to pull their weight. I think it's his master plan to get Mike Brown fired and bring in the coach he really wants. For what it's worth, the Cavs beat reporter who has followed Lebron since high school says there is no chance Lebron is leaving. Of course, that really doesn't mean squat We thought the same thing about Shaq right up until he signed with the Lakers. Fact is the only one who really knows is Lebron. I still can't believe Shaq left, just unprecedented. At least you guys didn't have to hear about the possibility of Shaq leaving from the day he was drafted. As for Lebron leaving for a team with the funding to put a good team together. Money is NOT the issue in Cleveland. The Cavs actually have a nice young core (although I am not a Mo fan). Their offensive coaching leaves a ton to be desired

It only becomes a problem when the players get smug and overlook their next opponent. You can make the case that the cavs overlooked us last year but neither team will make that mistake this year. Not to mention even if we weren't (possibly) playing the Cavs next round Stan isn't the type of coach that lets our guys rest on their laurels. I am pretty sure the Cavs are currently over looking the Celtics in the same smug way. Stan is an excellent coach. He did an excellent job last year of keeping the Magic in both Game 1 and 2 in Cleveland when the Cavs jumped out to big leads. Good thing Donovan changed his mind huh?
