  1. Wow! Great win! We're hot right now, the Amway was on fire! I loved seeing the Celtics fans going home early.

Such a great second half, I loved the focus and the effort from these guys. The defense was out of this world. I've been critical to Mosley before for a couple of reasons, but I have to admit that he found a way to get to the players and take the best out of them. And that's not easy. Tonight was pure energy, I'm proud of these guys.

I can't help loving Mo Wagner with all my heart, no matter if he makes 27 or 2 points, he is always a factor in the court. Paolo's jumper was pretty solid once again, Franz made the ones that we needed, everything is going well for us right now.

Let the streak going! And play that song!

  2. Very good first half overall. The defense's great all along. Goga is making Vooch look bad. In the offensive end I liked some stretches, definitely not the first 4 minutes of the 1qtr. Everything can change in a minute, but I'm optimistic.

I actually think Ingles is giving us some things in tonight's and recent's game. Not only he opens up the floor and can make 3s, he sets a pace with the second unit that chills up the game.

For what we saw, I understand that Caleb Houston is ahead of Jett Howard in Mosley's rotation order at the moment.

Also, the bulls are just sad.

  3. What a game last night. I watched it this morning, like I use to do, because of the time zones. I knew it wasn't gonna be a overtime just because the progress bar of the video in the League Pass didn't look longer as a regular game. But when Lavine made the last 3 i thought we could win, but also we could just lose the ball at the last posession and lose the game.

And I think that's actually really concerning, because once again we had a pretty comfortable lead and we gave it away in the 2nd half -and especially in the clutch. Thank god for Paolo and his second game winner.

And if Jamal Mosley can't see what E V E R Y B O D Y see after 11 games, we are going to repeat the same story in the future. I mean, at this point is obvious that our offense get stuck over and over when we have no space. Paolo and Franz have to go against 4 guys because we have no trustable shooting out there. Sometimes in the iso game, nobody freaking move, for god's sake. But things could be different if Mosley could try different things, like bench Suggs or AB and bring to the floor people who can actually make buckets. At the last play, Lavine didn't go 2 for 1 right away against Paolo, because otherwise Joe Ingles was going to be open for the three. And THAT gave Paolo space to go to the paint. Jalen Suggs, on the other side, was WIDE OPEN, because he can't shoot the ball. We should use that more often, we have enough shooters to do that, just put shooters around FW and PB. Remember, we need to put the ball in the basket in order to win games. And we can not get stuck with terrible offensive rotations every game when things get difficult. I'm happy for the win, but i'm actually concerned that the W hide the problems that we have. Because today's game was just enough to beat the Bulls, but it won't take us too far.

Please Markelle be healthy again. GO Magic.

  4. Another really frustrating game to watch.

Coaching staff have no clue of what to do with the offense. Last night was terrible all game long, but in the first half we managed to made some of the 3s that they let us shoot. Because you obviously gonna let Paolo and Jalen Suggs shot in this point if you are playing defense. Really poor game development, lack of collective plays and bad decision making.

Jalen Suggs tonight was again a really low IQ player, not relevant in offense. In his third year he is still out of control with the dribble pretty often, he cannot shoot the ball or making plays to put his teammates in good position. 2 Assist and 3 TO, 4/13FG and -27 (worst of the team). I think Suggs is not going to happen, even with his defensive highlights and his Braveheart stuff. At least I've seen enough.

I said it a couple of days ago, Markelle is the difference between been a +.500 team and another garbage season. And no Jalen Suggs or Anthony Black are ready to replace him in that role. Our backcourt today was a zero and we can't compete against good teams on a daily basis with this personell in the guard position. BKN looked way better than us in every aspect of the game in the 2nd half and they are not even good.

  5. Great game last night, we managed to keep the lead all the game long, which was pretty awesome. Ok, Milwaukee didn't look so sharp (except for Giannis, of course) but we have to give credit to our guys.

I couldn't be prouder of Paolo and Franz just keep atacking after a bad last game vs. Atlanta, with total confidence. I'm really concerned about Markelle being out again tho, you can feel his absence in the pace of the game on the offense. I agree to the general feeling here about AB, he's great (a nightmare on defense).

I think we could also use this game to evaluate in a fairer way our players and our team. I didn't watch live the Mexico City Game, because it was really late night here, but i watched it the morning after. Obviously i was frustrated in many ways, but when i came here in the forum i couldn't believe many of the comments about Paolo, Franz, Fultz, about the team all around.

I mean, we have to understand that we have a core of very young players, who are already really good, but still too young and incline to struggle in high-pressure situations. We are gonna have several games of Paolo and Franz shooting poorly, but remember that we made them the faces of the franchise and because of that we'll have to live with the good and the bad moments during this process. In some cases the coaching staff can make moves to simplified the job for them, introducing new plays and distribute the roles better. I don't like a bit coming here and reading teenager-hater-stuff like i did the other night. I think we should do better too. Today we're not the best team in the world but yesterday we weren't the worst.

  6. There's a lot of things that come to my mind about Magic's basketball and it's been just seven games, so I'm trying to tell myself "don't overreact".

I love Jalen Suggs, his defense and his all around effort. But I don't thinks he's gonna become a decent shooter in the middle term and if we are going to really compete, I think we could try another pieces at the 2 spot while the season is still young. Name it Gary Harris, Black, Howard, some-middle-season-freeagent, IDK.

Our offense just get stuck sometimes. Paolo works better when he got space and doesn't have to deal with a wall right away every position, and that happens also to Franz with the cuts and attacks to the rim. But since we have no outside shoot, the paint is usually crowded.

I think we don't have to underestimate the injury's effect on yesterday's night game , especially Markelle being out. I would appreciate more transparency about the state of the injuries but it's not like I'm surprised that we don't know when he or Gary Harris are going to come back. I don't think Wendell is going to be back until new year, and that's also going to hurt us.

I mean it's great we get to see Anthony Black, he looks really mature and engaged, and I really want him into the rotation. But the last season showed us that with Markelle we are one team and without him we are another.

I've been thinking lately that if we decide to actually compete this year we need to make a move in the middle-season market and bring some shooting to the team. We have asets to make things happen. But it will depend on the goal that the GMs think that we can point at on this year...

  7. Our offense looks really stuck again, but for now we are alive, because we are making the free throws and defending with fierce.

I'm really worry about Markelle's injury. I guess we'll have to wait to know more. Like we always do in xD

Paolo seems like he's really trying, I like his acknowledge, he is taking the things slowly and getting fouled. I hope he puts some numbers tonight. Same for Wendell.

    Nice minutes for Black!

This game and also the podcast from Fultz really make me criticize the coach.

Fuktz said in a podcast with the Magic Squad that Mosley really wants the players to make plays.
    It showed in this game.

But i’m a euro guy. I believe in tactics used in basketball. Good X and Os and players that buy in and execute can win and will win you games.

Our team had no clue down the line. The coach couldn’t/didn‘t draw anything up and so we had multiple Iso ball plays down the stretch.

Im not going to blame Suggs here. He saw a lane and attacked it. If anything it should have been Paolo or Markelle handling the ball and breaking down the defense. And either Cole or Harris needed to be in there as spot up shooters.

On the last play im not sure why you’d play WCJ and Paolo, when you are forced to take a 3. They should have used M. Wagner and maybe Ingles and i would have played Cole, who can always get his own shot up.

I don’t think a ISO play with Franz on Lebron was a good idea

Agree. A ton of bad decisions in the clutch. We saw those last year too  Why keeping the starting five on court at the last play when all you care is for a 3? Gary was 5/5 for god's sake !

It's only fair to also recognize what this kind of close games mean for a young time, and the difficult to compete in the clutch against players like Lebron or AD. I'm a little concerned about the role distribution too, but it's been only 3 games.

  9. A second game on the road against the Lakers after a 2-0 beginning, sounds like a game that doesn't hurt so much actually to lose and you kind of relax. However, I think these guys on the Magic team got a competitive spirit that I wouldn't be surprised if we take a W at LA

I don't know if Markelle 's hand is ok or if he has some kind of injury from the last game.

  10. Hi! It's been a couple of months since I wrote for the last time here. But my hype for this Magic team hasn't declined at all. I'm so happy that all our players had finally a healthy start and I really want to see in the court what we are made of. I think this season will answer some of the big questions we have about the players and the future of the team.

The GMs is been really conservative and relax with the trade market so far, but if we have an interesting season, that could change. There has to be some kind of list in some Weltman's notebook with some names for the next free agency, I wonder which they are. Also, I think we are two or three good trades from being a contender team.

I recently moved to Germany and the game schedules are impossible, but I'm gonna see them the morning after on the League Pass (If any of you know of a discount, let me know :p ).
