If he is there at 8, I think we pick him.....Barnes (forward / multi-positional) with 5 and Bou with 8, a shooting guard, is a good draft night in my opinion.

Here is player's coach / coach's player Jamahl working with Mo. Something Cliff probably never did.... Mo has to be super motivated. We need him to play well in the paint area (a la Dwight) to open the court to his "shooters" Plus if he gets stronger....who guards him with that length? It's going to be interesting is he beats Wendell for the starting position.

If someone gets Barnes before our pick 5....any chance we pick Giddey (somewhat comparable to Cade) and disrupt the draft order?

Jamahl might not be a coach until now but he has a lot to bring to this team....and Jeff complemented him well around minute 30 of the conference when he said " this league is about winning" I think our players will respond well to Jamahl. Hopefully we can add a couple of veterans / mentor players - unrestricted free agents - JJ Redick and Paul Millsap to help them...especially in the 4th Q, help / teach them to win those close games against good teams. New beginning in Oct / Nov 2021 my friends and looking forward to win it all in the second half of this decade (2025-2029)...at least once. Two?

About minute 14, question from Keith Smith about how he sees our defense....coach's response: "ability that we have length on this team, length is very important in this league" Agree, Barnes is a versatile defender and at 6'8", wingspan of 7'3" and vertical of 39" fits the Magic mold. Plus can handle the basketball too as a Point Forward. If he is there at #5, I think we pick him.....

No question about the family angle...I completely get it. Nevertheless, athletes are kind of use to moving. Like many things....we just shall see. It would be nice, though to see Darrel back if coach wants him. A tidbit about Darrell: "During his 9 years with the Magic, the team never posted a loosing record, making the playoffs 7 times"

What I've been able to find out is an article that has Darrell Armstrong as "most likely" to stay in Jason Kidd's coaching staff. I'll keep my hopes up until the official word.

Plus we are probably picking a forward with 5, either Barnes or Kuminga....Kirspert is another forward, so I really doubt we go this route.

JJ Redick (who "played" for the Mavs last season after being traded) said " Love this " The 2 unrestricted free agents / players / mentors that would be nice to add to the team are: JJ - 37 yrs old Paul Millsap - 36 yrs old These (2), along T. Ross, MCW and Gary Harris would complement the young talent that we have in a very significant way and ALL 5 can still play !!!

I could see the Warriors doing that, however they have Jordan Poole who played SG well for them last year....12 PPG and is under contact. We shall see. Klay is coming back too, so adding that 3rd SG is in Q.

Kispert will be there at 8......hopefully the Warriors with # 7 pick Davion Mitchell allowing the Magic to select a "shooter": Bouknight, Moody, Keon Johnson, etc. I like Bouknight a lot....from what I've been able to see, his footwork is very similar to Devin Booker's one.....which is awesome !!!!

These players are NOT tanking. The next coach is a very important piece of the puzzle. The Magic should be one of the best teams in the East the second part of the decade (2025 - 2029), and they should win their 1st championship. This next coach is the one that will lead the charge. Also, the Magic have a great chance to make the playoffs next year. We have a lot of things to be excited of.

There is going to be good talent at 5 & 8.....I think we will be a better TEAM if we make the picks. FO then can take a month or 2 assessing the market for any possible trades before training camp opens.

We will be so stocked up after the draft in most every position that it's hard to tell right now what it's going to happen. I'm sure that the the Front Office has an ace or 2 under their sleeve.

He is in the conversation with # 8....can he improve his shot is the Q. What do you think of Vrenz Bleijenbergh with #33? There are videos of him out there.....this pick # 33 is another important player that can be developed into a solid role player.
