Someone always disrupts the draft...we will probably see it again next week. This is a heavy talent draft.....FO has to map all kind of scenarios. I hope Barnes is there when we use pick # 5.

Of course we know there is more than "the tape measure"....there are analytics, etc, etc. But there are players that have something or do something that you believe is special. Take, Steph's shooting at anytime in his career before the NBA...."only thing you needed are your eyes to watch him shoot", plus yes, analytics, etc. Other times, what you need is to have the 1st overall pick and have a Shaq or LeBron to select from. This year, who caught a lot of our attention? Keon Johnson, breaking the vertical jump record....so even if we don't pick him, we will be watching him to see if he becomes a special player. I posted a video of Bamba recently.......if he has the will and develops a game in the paint area and dominates games.....we win the majority of those games and he will be recognized for it.

Count me in. If the FO with pick 8 wants to draft Giddey, count me in !! Currently we have 6 guards (including Markelle) and 2 forwards. Assuming FO picks Barnes and Giddey, would bring the forwards to 4 which makes it a better balanced roster. Giddey is only 18 and playing pro ball already !!! He will play in Tokyo's Summer Olympics (start tomorrow) for his native team of Australia. Most everything out there about him is basically "great talent". Sure he has to improve this or that like every player. Last year (Giddey was 17), Lamelo and Giddey played in the National Basketball League Australia. Lamelo: 7.6 rebounds and 6.8 assists - Giddey: 7.4 rebounds and 7.4 assists. Giddey lead the league in assists !!! These are amazing stats by Giddey versus Lamelo, the 2021 NBA Rookie Of The Year.

We need to develop Bamba. Of course he has to will himself to be his best. One of the keys for the Bucks to win the championship, was Giannis length. The Magic are loaded with lengthy players that have great potential: Bamba, JI, Chuma, Wendell, RJ and if drafted, Scottie Barnes and the #8 pick might as well be another lengthy player. Drafting Giddey as Tim Reynolds is implying here seems to be a thought, just a thought, BUT it's not that crazy of an idea. We have 6 guards (including Markelle) and 2 Forwards....if we pick Barnes and Giddey that balances the roster. These 2 are very good ball handlers / playmakers. Both are young (Giddey is just 18) and have the potential to be great players. FO can give it a try and if it doesn't work, tweak.

Unfortunately......zero championships. Close (twice to the NBA Finals), but no cigar. I believe that with the young talent we have today and the one that we are going to add in the next couple of years, the Magic win it all, once or more between 2025 and 2029. Cheers !!!

A little bit more about Cole....

We have Cole....I don't think the FO thinks of Davion as an option. I think Cole is like a "bulldog", he is such a competitor. He could very well be our main PG for the next 10 years and be a key player when we win our 1st NBA Finals between 2025 - 2029.

I agree 100% with this LaVar's take. Chuma has the potential to be a star !!! Keeper. And Cole with his fierce competitive style of play ( I can go on)....any parallels to Chris Paul? I see something.

These star guys (if they want to be traded), want to play with their star buddies and create super teams. Unfortunately we are not there yet but wait until 2025 when we should start to be contenders in the East and you'll see that the Magic will be in contention for some of the star players. I hope it starts sooner....next year we have max money and Zack Lavine is unrestricted. I have to believe that we are going to try hard to get him.

So OKC is the disruptor of the draft this year.....could be to our advantage as we have that pick 8 and like you all are saying, there are numerous scenarios. FO got to prepare for this.....it happens every year.

Of course it's a possible scenario drafting / keeping Suggs with the other 4 PG's, however I don't see this FO drafting 2 PG's with their top pick in back to back years.

This Big Board article has Shooting Guards Bouknight @13, Moody @ 14 and Keon Johnson @15.....WOW !!!! And then it has Cameron Thomas (SG) @ 12, higher than these 3 guys. My guess is with our # 8, FO is picking one of them (not Cameron), but this article just threw me curveball.......

If for reason X, Suggs is drafted....the Front Office will be flooded with questions regarding what you just said...."how does Suggs fits" These questions, however, could be answered on draft night if we trade Cole or Markelle. I doubt anybody wants Markelle as he is in re-hab and I think most everybody is super high on Cole's overall (leadership) skills....and want to see more. I doubt we draft Suggs....but if we draft him, I think he is the one traded. Probably him for 2 or 3 players or picks to us. This is a super interesting draft for us.....many things can happen or maybe not. We can only watch.
