  1.  I think about our team this way. We have 14 guys on the team currently 7 of them have been playing with us for less than a year.

Fultz, Cole, Chuma, Ennis, Bacon, Aminu, Clark

7 others have been here for awhile: Vuch, AG, Ross, Evan, Birch, Bamba, Issac.

Of the 7 that have been here awhile, Bamba has been hurt the majority of the time, so we don’t really know what we have other than potential. And I believe we are all in agreement that Issac is a centerpiece and shouldn’t be moved.

Therefore, all of the complaining about the roster being the same is really over 5 players. Vuch, Evan, AG, Ross and Birch.

Now thinking about this group, I don’t think you should get rid of Vuch, Ross or birch right now. Vuch has played at an allstar level recently and Ross is our best scoring threat off the bench and Birch is our security blanket for when Bamba gets hurt.

That leaves Evan and AG. I’m all for trading these guys and I think management is too

I believe/hope management is actively looking for a trade and will continue until the trade deadline. From what we’ve heard management is going about this process  and has been in negotiations with other teams regarding these guys.

So as hard as it is, relax and give it some time. A trade of AG and/or Evan is coming.

Got to say it's pretty funny seeing Magic fans melt down (not really on here) over giving James Ennis a 1 year deal...

It's such an inconsequential move with no long term ramifications.

And the same goes for Bacon. These are small rotation moves that only impact this year why are people stressing?

Exactly. I don’t get the freak out.

I think (and hope) AG will be playing a lot more at his natural PF position, so I hope I don't see your starting line-up. I think a lot will depend on whether Okeke is truly a SF or a PF. Part of the reason I was a bit disappointed when Ennis opted out. I was thinking that if he opted in, we probably would only keep one of Iwundu/Clark; so now that seems more up in the air. I think the odds on retaining Iwundu went up, and I could actually see him starting at the SF. I also think Clark might stick if Ennis isn't re-signed.

    Starting lineup - Fultz/Fournier/Iwundu/Gordon/Vucevic

    Primary backups - Anthony/Ross/Okeke/Aminu/Bamba or possibly Anthony/MCW/Ross/Okeke/Bamba

I think your close out the game lineup is probably correct, barring major FA signing or trade.

That leaves your end of bench guys being Clark, Birch, Isaac(i), and possibly leaving a roster space open, in case of injury. If neither Okeke or Clark can play the SF, I think you will see us play more "three guard" lineups with Fournier and/or Ross sliding over to SF a lot again. Depth chart would probably look like this:

    Fultz/Anthony/MCW

    Fournier/Ross/(MCW)

    Iwundu/Okeke/Isaac(i)

    Gordon/Aminu/Clark

    Vucevic/Bamba/Birch

I agree, I would like to see AG play PF more and I personally don’t like the lineup I listed. It was what I think Clifford will do, not what I would do. If it were up to me, Amuni and Evan would have been trade already.

That said, im very high on Chuma l, but not sure if he has the ability to defend the SF position yet.

Also, I doubt MCW will come back, I think he played himself into a payday. Also, I think Wes will test free agency. I like Wes and hope he comes back, but I’m not confident he will.

  4. Unless trades or major FA signing happen in the next few days, I expect Cliffords opening day starting lineup to be:

    Fultz

    Evan

    AG

    Aminu

    Vuch

With Ross being first sub off the bench for AG, so AG ca man second unit

    The second unit will be:

    Cole

    T-Ross

    AG

    Chuma

    Bamba

i expect the end of game lineup to be:

    Fultz

    Evan

    Ross

    AG

    Vuch

Dude where did I say it would define him? I'm not saying he's definitely just a bench scorer. I said 'theres a chance' he's just a bench scorer and implied that he's still a great pick regardless. I think there's also a chance he's an all star guard. Austin Rivers also had a lot of hype coming out of college, underperformed a little at a big school, went late in the lotto and guess what he's a bench scorer?

It doesn't mean I think Cole can't be anything more.

Touché. Valued, comparison in pedigree to Austin Rivers.

In all, we have something to be optimistic about and that’s all I really wanted tonight.

There's a reason he went 15. I have hopes that he'll be a higher level player than that and he definitely could be but he might just be like a Lou Will type and that's ok in my opinion.

I don’t think 1 injury riddled year at UNC with little talent around you should define you.

He was a consensus top 5 pick coming out of high school. The talent to be much more than a bench scorer is there.

There's a real chance Cole is just a bench scorer. But he's a scorer. And we need scoring.

I disagree, I think Cole will be much more than a bench scorer.

I think when we look back 3+ years from now, we will all realize we won the draft.

We got somebody who could turn into a number 1 option.

  8. Report came out that the Wolves haven’t made a decision of who to take at 1.

They mentioned they would also be open to all options including trading the pick.

So, my question is, who would you draft at 1 and what would you trade to acquire that pick?

I would take Anthony Edwards and trade, AG, 15 and 2021 top 2 protected first for James Johnson and Jake Layman.
