Not again!, we get thrashed and then have a mini run in garbage time 4th.

The second unit may be better. I suppose it would be good to highlight for trading purposes, but I feel we lack talent and heart, just my humble opinion.

It was sad watching the Celtics last night and knowing this is exactly the type of team we’ve been trying to emulate with their tough in your face defense. They are basically on our same timeline but many things fell their way. We are very soft and lack heart; the same old story. Blow it up! Keep JSimms, Issac and Gordon. Sorry folks, but we look like we are back to lottery land. EP - can’t shoot and inconsistent D - back up point guard EF - D?- 3 point shooter off the bench with a few drives TR - surprising D, but inconsistent O - marginal starter with decent contract Gordon - needs to play within himself and grow into his game (no hero ball) would trade for the right package with Issac in the wings. Vuc - Defensive sieve - 6 man

At least we can look forward to change! Because it is certain to come. The front office did say this was an evaluating period; I’m sure they are already plotting their next moves.

Call me crazy, but in some ways I like our bench better, especially when Issac is back.

I think Vuc is good if you have perimeter players that seal off the paint, which we don’t, especially at the point. I like the spread 5 if you have the right personnel. Otherwise you get killed in the paint like we are. I’ve heard from sources close to the situation that EP can be lazy. Defense is mainly effort and commitment, that’s what I love about JSimms. You can’t really teach consistent D, the player either has that fighter mentality instilled in them or they don’t. I think that was Skiles revelation. I see glimpses of it, but not often enough; frankly it’s been a big tease.

I believe with our team who has no stars and rely on ball movement need a PG that can shoot and spread the floor and hopefully play some D. I feel that is why we had a good run with Augustine because of spreading the floor even though he gets killed on D. Augustine is far from the answer though! It would be one thing if EP played good D, but he doesn’t! so your left with a good passer who is inconsistent. EP is a back up PG! He has value, but not a starter on a good team. Unfortunately he won’t surcomb to that until his next team. It’s evident more then ever in the modern NBA: you have to be able to shoot and defend multiple positions; something EP struggles with on both fronts; granted he gambles and gets a few good steals here and there but agressive points kill us every time. As a point guard on our team you can’t let the opposing point blow by you to be met by Vuce, that’s a recipe for disaster; just look how many points teams are getting in our paint. Believe me, it kills me to admit we got shafted by Philly in that trade, but sometimes you have to say: you got me! I think the new front office will turn things around, but it will take time.

We’ll see how the front office addresses that. Payton can’t contain his man on D; fight over screens and he can’t shoot; a very bad combination in today’s NBA. We’ll see what the experts think.

I have a feeling we will be very active in the trade market come February. I think we have all been very patient with EP, but we need an upgrade at the point and 5 spot, maybe Issac can handle the 5 in time. My patience is exhausted! I hate to say it, but Skiles was right!!!

We’d be taking on Chandler

I just ran this trade and it works: Bledsoe and Chandler for Biz and Augustine, throw in a second; Chandler has 2 yrs left at 14mil a year, Biz has 3 at 17 mil. A year. Maybe Suns can remember Biz in the playoffs with the Raps, he is a force and still young. We could also look at Dudley in place of Chandler

I Love this team!!!! We need to move Augustine - too much of a defensive liability - Biz is waaay overpaid and appears to be regressing and Mario just can’t seem to put it together. I’m curious, the Magic have today as a deadline to pick up his option, did they? This front office and Frank are on point! Go Magic

Love the spacing and ball movement and finally we can shoot. I hope we can maintain most of what I'm seeing. I still feel we need some tweaks but feel confident we are going in the right direction. There is no better asset then experience in a front office.
