  1. This is the big part for me that makes us winners of the trade. The club (Orlando) was sort of expected to take Bynum as a direct replacement but Rob came out and mentioned how they did their research and thought Bynum was too injury prone, I know Lakers fans who felt the same. Little peed the Lakers effectively got Dwight for a bag of chips but losing draft picks and being over luxury tax makes it impossible for them to rebuild unless they put "for trade" signs on their stars which won't really happen either. If we took Bynum we would likely have no Vucevic and have had Davis playing Center until he became injured. Which was great to see his dedication last year after Dwight was injured but not really a long term solutions. Anyway onto the game and it was great to see Al Harrington back on the court. From his quotes it looks like it means a lot to him to be back on. I didn't realise it was severe as he may never have played again but I hope he's in every game now.

Is Anyone else enjoying watching the Lakers?

I few days ago I thought the Lakers would miss the play-offs. I stand by that. It will be amazing to see what the media circus is like if they do. Something that rivals the Yankees postseason last year? Mainly inconsistency from ARod/Swisher, but at least they made the ALCS though with a slightly easier division race last season and play-off matchup. I'm looking forward to seeing what the FO does in the off-season.
  3. I felt like he had a good game for his first one back, definately need some experience up front for the younger guys.
  4. Long time Magic fan, and I've always appreciated players who come and go and make a contribution to this great franchise. And JJ is definately one of them. It was, I imagine definately a tough choice for the front office to trade him for some valuable trade chips from the Bucks (who i'll get to later) and the guy handled it great. But if you guys think we have it bad losing JJ, the Bucks FO seems to be far worse thinking Ellis/Jennings are the future heh. I've spoken to the odd Bucks fans an they are spewing they lost Tobias Harris, a solid future player and potential 18/8 night type of player. Someone they had pinned their SF future onto, and a position we need to build on with Turkoglu growing more inconsistent. The kid is only 20, plenty of time for developement and in his games for the Magic so far he has done quite well IMO. He's really good offensively for his age and size. Knows how to back down in the post and shoot the jumper. Needs to get quicker laterally which will help improve his defence, from what I remember seeing of him at the Bucks. I can imagine Udrih will be a better player with more minutes, something he didn't get at Milwaukee with most of the gametime given to Ellis and Jennings. So hopefully our system will get the best out of him at least for the rest of this season. Deron Lamb could be a good shooter off the bench but has had some injury issues with his elbow in the pre-season so hopefully he is given game time. JJ coming back isn't something I really thought of but atm I'm happy with the way the club is heading and our backcourt set with Jameer/Affalo (a guy Denver has had to get used to not having).
