TMF07, just ignore the Newbie and keep doing what you're doing. I think your game thread starters are great. I was a little surprised at your response to Wilbur, as I took his comments as simply a joke; so I'm not sure what prompted your response? It seems very unlike the rest of your posts. Hope everything is okay with you! Take care, and keep on posting!

She out of nowhere starts talking about race lolololol

So yes, ignore me. Just stop being so annoying and especially please stop with your random essays. Go Magic!

Hey Wilbur, we will keep this as a friendly discussion, right?  :)

First, should Hulu include the Magic in your comment above?  *See the bolded sentence.*   - :)

Second, I always get the Magic games on Hulu, but I love FSU and Tampa Bay too, and sometimes their games were blacked out.

I have been a fan of FSU for years, even BEFORE Deion Sanders, Bobby Bowden and Charlie Ward.

Initially, I was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys long before Emmett Smith. Even though he was a Gator, I liked him as a Cowboy.

I have been a Tampa Bay Fan off and on, going back to quarterbacks Doug Williams, Daunte Culpper, and Jameis Winston.

    Final Note:

First, as many of you know, I am a female and I am black. I fell in love with all of the teams I mentioned first. All of the names I mentioned were/are very good at their sport and I root for them (all black) because I did not see that when I was growing up many, many years ago. So, please don't say I'm racist.

Second, I watched Winston play at FSU since he became starting quarterback. The team won the national championship in his first year and made it to the playoffs in his second year. Since being drafted by the Buccaneers, not all fans welcomed him there. Sure, he had a lot of interceptions, but he also did not get much help in other areas of the team, especially the offensive line and guys running the wrong route.

There is a poster on the Tampa Bay Message Board that keep referring to Jameis as "rappey" every time he or some other posters  mention Jameis. That is so wrong!

PLEASE, LET'S NOT START A 'WAR OF WORDS' ON THIS OFF TOPIC! THANK YOU.

Edit: Hey Wilbur, I gave you an up vote previously (the AG part of your post). I ought to take it back. /just kidding  :)

    you're kind of annoying

  3. I'm with you on that, of course that sucks. Like I said, hate seeing one of our guys get cheated. But in the overall scope of things, it's not like his effort was cheapened or wasted because of a blatant scam. Everyone saw this for what it was, just like they did in 16. His legacy has already been cemented as the best dunker of his generation- I think he'll value that more than an extra trophy on the wall.

The real shame in this is that we'll never get to see him in a dunk contest again- along with missing out on other top dunkers in future contests who aren't going to be interested in getting cheated in the same way.

  4. Sorry to bring it up again after the thread has moved on, but I wanted to share my thought on the dunk contest. Obviously, AG got robbed for the second time, no question about it. But does anyone really, REALLY care who wins that contest? Is that what really matters? Because I think most people remember specific magical dunks much more than they remember who took the trophy home. AG's dunks in 16 and this year will be remembered for a long, long time. They will be watched on YouTube 800 million times and shared on social media forever. I don't think anyone really looks back and cares who actually won. The best dunks get remembered, not the winner.

So, yeah, it sucks seeing our guy get screwed, especially when he clearly invested so much energy and passion into it. But I don't think it was a wasted effort by any means. His dunks will be remembered, DJJ and Lavine's will be lost in the sands of time.

  5. The sudden wave of Fournier love is absolutely hilarious to me. He was the most hated man in Orlando last year...and the year before. A couple weeks of putting up numbers with high usage and not playing buddy ball and so many people on here completely forget what he is and forgive his sins.

Evan is Evan. He is what he is and he will always be that. He'll have slumps where he's worse than normal, and he'll have periods of time where he puts up much better numbers than normal.

Resigning him to a long term deal would be the dumbest possible thing we could do. He's going to get paid, but it needs to be by someone else and he can be their headache for the next 320 games.

You guys need to not be slaves to recency. Like GordonMVP just said, let's enjoy this peak while it lasts and hopefully move on either this year or next.

  6. ^^^^

Disappointed by a lot of this stuff that I'm hearing. People are setting themselves up to be bitter and awful if Fultz ends up having a set back or doesn't contribute early. Let's please not be anything like Philly fans now or later.

Dude is crazy talented, but is going through some stuff that none of us will ever fully understand or go through ourselves. Let's support the kid, be positive and cautiously optimistic and see what happens.

You’re part of the problem. No need for nastiness! Let’s stick to basketball.

Reading back through the last few pages, I've seen you complain about +/- over and over and over again. +/- has no effect on anything, yet you're super hung up on it and somehow don't realize that complaining about it just makes people give you even more down votes, which again, don't mean anything.

T Ross in his exit interview said that he is gonna see what Vooch does and then that will help with what he is doing... hmmm or not?

I'm taking that to mean he understands that figuring out what to do with Vuc is priority #1 for the FO. Ross knows his potential offer will be at least in part determined by how much we do/don't offer Vuc.

  9. I'm hoping for Vuc to get an offer he can't refuse from somewhere else. One that is far enough away from what we are willing to offer that it just makes sense for both sides to shake hands and move on.

From there, yeah I'd love to somehow trade Fournier and get a talented young SG back, but I highly doubt that happens. Instead, I'll hang my hope on Fournier being much less annoying and inefficient with buddy ball being broken up. I can't take another year of the EF/Vuc PnR and watching Evan constantly over dribble and turn the ball over. He has shown at times that he is willing to play within the flow of the offense - and he's much better when he does.

I'm kind of surprised that Cliff hasn't reigned in his long spells of over-playing and trying to be a hero. Hopefully, if Vuc is gone, EF can center his offense more around cutting/spotting up and far less ball handling since Vuc is no longer around for him to dribble circles around. A healthy Fultz would obviously help take the ball handling burden off him. Really need Cliff to continue to work with him on playing to his strengths and not playing outside of himself so often.

Well, MagicOne, I have said to myself for a while that the Warriors might not reach the finals. Everyone knows they are my second favorite team. But the Warriors are far from the team that won even the last championship.

I have watched Cousins play. He may score points, but he is so uncoordinated. He plays like a bumbling #$%#! When he is double teamed, he coughs up the ball. I think Looney is a better fit at center for the time being than Cousins. . .until they can trade for a bigger center.

I know that Cousins is under a one year contract, but the Warriors shouldn't bring him back. His injury issues are troubling.

Lastly, the Warriors has a below average bench.

Being that you're a Warriors fan, it's strange that you don't know Cousins got hurt last night and is out for the rest of the playoffs.

You're playing into trolls' hands by asking something like that.

No...... responding to the troll's repeated trolling is playing into his hands. If everyone ignored him he'd stop. I blocked him, too, and would love it if half the posts on here weren't people responding and acting like he's being serious. Just ignore him. Not hard.

Let's please cut him off by the time the playoffs start. No time for nonsense.
