howard named eastern conference player of the week

No, Wade won the last POTM, but LeBron does have all the other ones. That sucks...

Is Ryan Anderson An Epic Chucker???

I just don't think it's fair to compare minutes per shot of a guy who plays junk minutes to guys who have played 30+ minutes their entire career. If Anderson shoots that much in his 10 minutes a game. Put him with the starters and I guarantee you he doesn't shoot that much. The guy plays PF. Most Power Forwards stay in the paint. If he's always outside he's bound to have open looks, hence his shooting rate. He's not a chucker, and he's not doing anything wrong, just taking open shots. This is from a Cavs fan's perspective of course.

    Do Bulls have a chance???

quote: Originally posted by emory889: quote: Originally posted by AnotherCavsFan:With Shaq, 5 Without Shaq, 4 I can only assume that you got this backwards. No, that's how I meant to put it...With Shaq in the game, Cleveland is better against bigger teams. The Bulls have a lot of athleticism and quickness, not to mention a human fast break a Point Guard. Cleveland is a much faster and more athletic team without Shaq in the lineup, and can easily run with Chicago. Shaq is a bit too slow, and although he would dominate Noah on the inside, he would slow us down too much. Varejao can guard Noah, and Jamison/Hickson/Powe can match up with Taj Gibson, or whoever the Bulls have at PF.

EVERY SINGLE PLAY: "cry, cry, cry" "cry, cry, cry" "The refs hate us" "cry, cry, cry" "The refs want Cleveland to win" "cry, cry, cry" "The NBA is corrupted" "cry, cry, cry" You truly were a disgrace on your team and your fanbase today with all your whining and complaining. I find it funny you call yourself a fan, when all I saw today was a diva . And I'm 100% sure that most of your people feel the same way about you as I do. What a joke you are. I'm ON the team? nice. The bolded area had me lol'ing. AND I have people? I dont kno what to make of this. Are you too dense to know what I'm saying?? This forum, the users on this forum, Magic fans, are your people. And as I said, nothing personal, but you really whine and complain too much, and to top it off, you did nothing but bash Cavs fans for commenting on the game. Hate it or love it, I will be here for a while. I like it here, and get along with most people here, but the personal attacks tend to cause me to respond.

    Do Bulls have a chance???

With Shaq, 5 Without Shaq, 4 They have no one to guard LeBron, and they have no 3 pt shooting outside of Hinrich and Pargo, not to mention Joakim Noah is a defensive Center.

I also apologize for me not thinking my team doesn't commit a foul. Obviously you're going to think that Orlando gets dumped on by the officials every game. And Cleveland fans are going to think they get dumped on. If you think for a second that officiating was bad in that game, I think you're the one on acid. There are always missed calls, and questionable calls. Thing is, both teams got some breaks from the officials. I'm sorry

  12. quote: Originally posted by ThuglifeJ: The Refs did everything they could to help the Cavs tho. The refs didn't do anything to help the Cavs. Bass got the offensive foul because they missed the walk on Pietrus the play before. It was a fairly officiated game. Nelson carried the offense, and Dwight played stellar defense. JJ had a HUGE 4 pt play. Cleveland played pretty good without 3 starters, but Pietrus torched them in the 4th quarter, just as he did in the ECF...Good game from both teams. And yes, Orlando came out sluggish as hell the first 1.5 quarters.

Honestly Lebron sitting is the worst thing that could've happened for the mental approach of the players. This happens a lot in the league. A LOT. You're exactly right. Every time Cleveland plays a team without their star, it's almost a foregone conclusion that they will lose.

Cleveland's home floor is always rockin. Love that place.

    Dwight/Bron Comparison

quote: Originally posted by StayBrutal:Chamberlain IS the best player ever. Not arguably,he is. LOL...will never be close to GOAT...Perhaps most dominant, but not the greatest. Let me ask you something...Have you ever played 1 on 1 against a guy that's half your size and half your strength?? Pretty easy to do what you want with him isn't it?? That's what Chamberlain did.. He was literally 4-5 inches taller than every player he played against, and made it a point to shoot as many times as he could shoot night in and night out. The 100 point game shouldn't have even happened. He said he was going to try to score 100 prior to the game, and his team gave him the ball every time down. The opponents eventually started fouling every time he touched it so he would have to actually make free throws.

    Lakers AT Denver 10:30 pm

Not talking up Mo, but Kirk Hinrich is one of the better perimeter defenders in the league.

The Varejao play was kinda confusing to me....I mean, he's made that shot all year. Problem is, he doesn't shoot when he's open, and waits till 2 people are in the air, and tries to shoot while avoiding contact. Terrible shot.

    Anyone here an ESPN Insider??

If you're an Insider, I'd appreciate it if you could find the Ballhog article by Hollinger, and paste it on here. That would be really appreciated. I'm curious to see who all is on the list.

    Bass as back-up center?

quote: Originally posted by GhostAnime:Bad idea. Bass is a terrible rebounder, and there's no benefit in putting him at C. Even if you want to post him up, most C's are actually bigger than him. No one is comparing the Magic to the Cavs. I merely stated that if Hickson can play Center, so can Bass. Besides, I remember you mailing the season in a couple months ago....Why do you care what rotations your team uses?

    Bass as back-up center?

quote: Originally posted by optics:I like Bass as a player but lets be honest .. he just doesnt fit our system @ all. When we first picked him up I thought we would incorporate him to be our big at PF and let Rashard go back to the 3 .. but Stan would rather have 4 other plays stand at the perimeter and let Howard try to grab every rebound possible. My question is .. why use Bass to match up with other teams? Why dont we use him out there at the 4 and let other teams "match up" with us?? Hmmm .. food for thought Using Bass at the 4 is matching up with other teams. He's not a good scorer, and he's a decent rebounder. What makes the Magic as good as they are is their style of play. 4 guys around the perimeter and Howard in the middle. With Bass in with Howard, it changes their landscape as a team. This is JMO, I don't know the Magic that well, but that's what it seems to me.

    Anyone here an ESPN Insider??

I cannot believe Al Jefferson is on this list. And how could a guy that plays for the Miami Heat not named Dwyane Wade be considered a chucker??
