    WOW, OKC Crowd is amazing

I watched games 1 and 2 of the Orlando/Charlotte series, and I gotta say, that crowd is terrible as far as making noise and being heard. I honestly could not even tell they were there. Every basket brought on cheers and claps and as soon as the other team inbounded the ball, they were silent.

    Cavs vs Bulls

quote: Originally posted by GhostAnime:This should still be a problem though. Dwight is a young athetlic center just like these guys here. Obviously, they are slow at the Center position, but backcourt defense has been killing us. Last night was a once in a lifetime game for the Bulls. Hinrich and Rose were hitting every shot they threw up, although they were all good looks. How many games in Hinrich's career has he shot as good as he did last night? My guess would be very few, if any. This game doesn't worry me in the least, however I don't know about other Cavs fans. Boobie Gibson would be a better fit against the Bulls at the 2 than Parker, but apparently MB is sticking with the playoff rotation.

    Cavs vs Bulls

Well, I figured this would happen. I remember saying a while back if Shaq played, it would be a 5 game series, and if he didn't play, it would be a 4 game series. I expect the Cavs to pick it up in game 4.

    Lebron James' greatest statistic...

quote: Originally posted by the notorious S.A.C.:The guy plays 40 minutes a game all out on offense and defense. He drives the lane full bore. He comes from behind and swats shots away. This means Lebron most likely has never has been in foul trouble all year.. but I havent checked. Congrats to Barnes and SVG for having the Pills to say the refs seem to not call fouls on other "star" players in the league. NBA=WWE! Idiot.
  6. I know what SVG said, but I'm not sure what Barnes said. Either way, seems there have been a boat load of fines in the past few weeks for criticizing the refs.

So IDK Rest isn't what killed the Cavs last year...Their matchup problem with Orlando is what killed them. I will somewhat agree to what you're saying though. I wouldn't want to sweep the first 2 series and come in to the ECF with too much confidence. You DO realize Rashard Lewis killed you last year, not Hedo. Vince also killed you guys in the regular season this year. Add that with the fact that both teams got better, Jameer being healthy, and both teams superstars are better... and you have yourself the same result as last year. You act as though both teams equally improved. No, Rashard isn't what killed us. Having no one to defend Dwight Howard is what killed us. When you have to double with the PF, you leave Lewis wide open. Yes, Lewis hit some key shots down the stretch, but the lack of defense at the 5 killed us. Furthermore, yes, Hedo was a matchup problem. We had Delonte West guarding him. 6'3'' against 6'10''...Pretty big differential there. The Cavs got Shaq to defend Dwight. Not to stop or shut him down, but to contain him. With Shaq in the game, there's no need for a double team, meaning Lewis is guarded, meaning no open shots. The fact that you assume all series are determined based on the fact you got Matt Barnes and Vince Carter, and we got Shaq and Jamison, is amazing to me. That's not at all how games are decided. They're not played on paper.

    Lebron James

It amazes me that people on this board expect Magic fans to like Lebron. He is the biggest threat to the Magic's title hopes. I would expect Magic fans to hate every move he makes, especially in the playoffs. Come on. The playoffs are not a time for level headedness (is that a word?) and respect, it is a time for passion and emotion. We can talk about respecting a game or ability in the off season. No one expects anybody to like LeBron. I maintain that it's laughable that so many people can talk about a wink, and how it is classless, disrespectful, tasteless, etc. etc...

He's accomplished a lot, but the ring has eluded him. I don't see how that gives Jordan a right to be more self-centered than LeBron?? We're talking about a man that left basketball because he felt he did all he needed to do for the sport. Not self-centered at all, is it?

Jesus, Lebron is a ****** bag, and very immature and self centered. It's his fault. and BMP, you may feel that way about Kobe and MJ, but I only see them as like angry *** holes. They aren't really as self centered ****** bags. I guess everyone has their likes and dislikes in personalities, but people like J.R. Smith and Lebron, I dont see how anyone can like their personalities. You tell me what makes winking worse than holding a follow through...I would love to know... They both tell the opposing team/coach, "I'm the s**t, and you can't do anything about it." I don't see how you can "lol" at something that makes a lot of sense...And yes, if LeBron was an average player, no one would give two s***s about what he did on the floor. But where he is so good, and he has won 2 straight MVPs, people put him under a microscope. Once again, I'm not condoning anything he has done, but if you think there's an athlete that is more self-centered than Jordan was, you don't know sports.

    Lebron James

I won't be the one to defend LeBron for doing immature things, but if you think WINKING at a coach is disrespectful....LOL @ anyone who does.. What about Jordan holding his follow through after his clutch shot against the Jazz??? What about Jordan shrugging his shoulders after hitting that shot against the Blazers(I think)? ****y and disrespectful are two different things...There is a fine line, yes, but they are completely different.. Not shaking hands, not disrespectful. Not talking to the media, however, was completely disrespectful. Say what you want about how the Magic shook hands agaisnt the Lakers...That doesn't mean anything. Fact is, a lot of you are looking for anything you can to bring him down, simply because he is so good. And I would be saying this even if I wasn't a Cavs fan. Every little thing he does, people complain about it. Complaining happens, but never to this extent.

Three of our key bench players were pretty bad also in Gortat, Anderson and Jwill. As bad as these guys played tonight offensively we lead by double digits most of the way. No way all these guys suck so bad at the same time again. If they can't get us on a night where our two biggest offensive weapons are nowhere to be found and in foul trouble all night then I really feel sorry for the Bobcats from here on out. Their starting 5 shot a great percentage. All 3 of their main guys played well in Wallace, who had a monster game, Felton and Jackson. I don't see much room for improvement from any of their guys. Although what you said was true, it kinda goes the same way for Charlotte...I don't see Jameer going for 30+ again in the series... Dwight absolutely manhandled them inside on defense, with what, 8-9 blocks?? I don't see him getting that many blocks again in the series... Larry Brown can outcoach anyone in the NBA, and I'm sure he will have a better gameplan for game 2. Not saying it will work, but he will make some adjustments...If I was you guys, I would worry about Vince...Jackson is a matchup problem for him, as he is taller, and as quick/quicker, with as much strength...Hughes is also a solid perimeter defender, so Carter shouldn't have huge numbers at all. Expect him to put up mediocre performances the rest of the series. Other than that, Pietrus played lights out, that's not guaranteed to happen again, although it did in the ECF... IMO, both teams had things happen that don't normally happen. I don't think Pietrus and Nelson will be as hot next game, but I also don't think Wallace will dominate like he did. Obviously Nelson probably won't light it up like that again, but we have a lot of capable scorers both in the starting lineup and on the bench. A lot of them played pretty poorly and will bounce back as Jameer cools off. As far as Howard dominating the paint, I think he had like 8 blocks in the first quarter alone. Don't be shocked if he has several more 5-8 block games in these playoffs. Also, Charlotte is no joke. They're a **** good team. I don't care how much we win by or how big of a lead we blow as long as we get the W. Agreed. They're no joke. Cleveland would have trouble with them in a 7 game series. I'm thankful we have the Bulls rather than Charlotte.

It's not trolling for a person to talk basketball...It's not trolling for a person to have an opinion that isn't the same as yours.
