    Amare to Cleveland?

We had no cap room. Just the MLE. Ariza would have taken it all. We split it between Parker and Moon. Signed Powe to a vet min (people forget we have him) Bass doesn't even play on your team, he wouldn't get burn here either. Barnes was a good pick-up, he ultimately chose Orlando over Cleveland. So Ferry tried but Barnes chose the nicer climate. Sheed is washed up and doesnt even try hard anymore. I wouldnt have wanted him. And lets not start on Howard OWNING Shaq, lets not kid ourselves there. I would say our team is looking pretty good right now and we could actually be adding more. I guess it is just one of those things were being from another team you dont know much about Ferry so don't value him. Just like Otis Smith, I dont know much about him and don't see anything special about him, but people from Orlando seem like they think he walks on water. either way, I think its a 2 dog race in the east and can't wait for the playoffs. Hopefully we have an exciting matchup

    Amare to Cleveland?

I find it laughable that people on the outside that don't know much about the cavs think Ferry is a bad GM. Could you expand on that Trey. What has the guy done that was a dumb move? He messed up by getting Hughes, but only cos LeBron wanted him. what other mistakes has he made?

I would love to meet them, cause he isn't as special as he is made out to be. He will never be in Amare's area code in terms of on the court production. I am not just saying this because of the possible trade either. I have never thought he has the potential people say he has. There are some players that you can tell just don't get "it". Hickson is one of them, IMO. I really hope we trade him while his stock is high. I didnt say they were smart people But honestly, the kid has amazing potential. I am sorry you cannot see that. Why do you think everyone we talk to about trades say they have to get him back in the deal? The same reason LeBron had him by his side all summer training with him. JJ's biggest hurdles are his hands(he drops a lot of passes) and confidence. You dont throw him out there for anyone, but should definitely not hold up a trade for Iggy or STAT

    Amare to Cleveland?

quote: Sources say no Stoudemire trade today, he's playing in All-Star Gm for PHX after all. But Cavs hoping for yes or no by early in week. about 1 hour ago from web Brian Windhorst twitter. Pretty reliable cavs beat writer http://twitter.com/PDcavsinsider

If the cavs get Amare we are in trouble. Real talk.

I hope we wait all the way until the deadline to sign the deal leaving Boston and Orlando little to no time to counter, Orlando is the team that still scares because of how hot you guys can get from long range. You have a punchers chance of winning any game no matter the defecit

Suns fall all the way down to 7th seat and get knocked out in the 1st round. Amare and Shaq worked GREAT!!! Its not about shaq and amare working out, its about amare and lebron working out. Do you really think the cavs will care if shaq is happy if amare helps them win a championship with shaq on the bench. This trade just shows that they finally realized shaq is a 12 mpg player. Honestly yes. When you have a personality as big as Shaq's, it can divide the locker room in half if he is not happy. Whatever deal takes place, believe that LeBron AND Shaq signed off on it.

Of course, but have you seen how Shaq treats former teammates who he wins rings with? They ALL needed him to win it, can't do it without him. That's what he believes and that's what he says. He has also said publicly that he couldnt have won them without Fisher, Kobe, Horry, Wade... He says himself now that he is a role player and not the star anymore. But i see where you are coming from, he does have a track record

in all honesty cavsfan they were playing their 4th game in 5 nights I believe. It does make a difference, we were also on the tail end of a nice homestand. That also helps. All that being said, I think if you ask anyone who the better team is right now, they would say Cleveland is. But what you do in February, doesn't mean much more than HCA come April and June. You're kidding yourself if you think we will stroll right through them come playoffs. We def. have a lot better chance than last year tho

    Here's a scary thought.....

quote: Originally posted by Magicfan1961: quote: Originally posted by ***THE ORIGINAL***:According to a couple insider sources from the cavs and sixers (take them for what they are worth) there have been actual talks of this. The sixers are looking to rid themselves of some of their bad contracts. Brand is owed like 3 years, 59 mil. Dalembert is owed around $12 mil next season, and I think Iggy is around 4 years $56 mil. I am going off the top of my head, no actual numbers. They know Brand and Sammy or impossible to move, that is why they are trying to move Iggy. The thing is, more than likely we are going to have to take Sammy with Iggy if a deal gets done. Rumors have been along the lines of Z/Moon/S&T Wally/1st and cash for Iggy/Sammy. Supposedly they are very high on Danny Green also. So he may be included. I know all of us Cavs fans are salivating over this though. Seems to be a very legit possibility. It also seems as if the organization is destined to make some kind of deal this year after missing out on last year. All us Cavs fans have our fingers crossed. Iggy would help us alot when playing the Magic. I just don't have a lot of faith in Anthony Parker. On the other hand, Iggy could mess up your team's chemistry. Iqqy might not play so well under your system. That is a very real possibilty. But last year when we had the chance to aquire Shaq for Wally's expiring, we didnt make the deal. Our chemistry was so good that Ferry didn't want to disrupt it. Last year we saw what happens when you are the Chemistry Champions. We may have had the best record in the league but it resulted in an early season loss, embarassing loss, to the Magic in the ECF. Last year we didnt take the chance and it back-fired. Another thing to consider is, we are going to be over the cap for years to come having only the MLE and late 1st round draft picks as means for improvement through free agency. I think we have to take advantage of it now. If we get Iggy and Brand, Brand is a $12 mil expring next year, giving us another huge expiring for an upgrade.
