    Heat Rivalry? Really?

The Magic organization, Pat WIlliams namely, has been trying to create this rivalry since 89. Lebron James just helped that happen. I have always liked Wade and had no real opinion on Bosh, but James I have never liked. The guy has always been the media's favorite, even though he has not won crap. I am sick of hearing of the guy and hope he joins TMac and G. Hill by never winning a title. Of course, we see Lebron and Dwight as being players that make their teams a lot better. But, Dwight has not been playing with a Superstar either and does a good job of getting his team deep into the playoffs without complaining that he needs more help.

I think what we see is what we're gonna get.

Tell us what adjustments you would have made during the Laker and Celtics games. Both teams out hustled us in both games. It's easy to criticize after the fact. Kobe was ripping rebounds out of our bigs hands in the finals and Jameer played 6' off of Fisher. Dwight was less than dominant for most of the series. Hedo was spotty. Lewis disappeared. In the Celtics series, KG and Lewis canceled each other out and D12 couldn't escape Perk/Wallace's shadow. VC was ice cold and Redick was only somewhat effective. Rondo was unguardable, Pierce schooled an injured Barnes, while Allen was on fire. Remember, Dwight is the only star on this team. He is surrounded by 4 role players. Role players don't always put their fingerprints on a game. Stars do.

Both times it was the coaching they had the players and the talent to go the distance they just needed the coach to make it happen. Same reason why riley took over when he was coaching the heat. I disagree. While I think SVG lacks some offensive creativity. His defensive schemes and teachings have been what made this team better. He and his staff have shown the ability to develop Redick and Gortat into better defenders. This team failed because VC failed to buy into the team concept. He would rather goof off than play defense. VC only wants to score and he is getting to one dimensional. When you watch Kobe, KG or Rondo aggressively snatch a ball from someone else, you know they have the desire to win. VC and Lewis lack that.

The only way I see this happening is if it goes like this: Magic get: Al Jefferson, Corey Brewer and Ryan Hollins Timberwolves get: Vince Carter and Marcin Gortat That leaves us a starting a rotation of: Dwight/Hollins/........ Orton Jefferson/Bass/Anderson Lewis/Pietrus Brewer/Redick (Matched) Jameer/Duhon That leaves us almost 2 deep at every spot. With this trade the magic would save about 4mil to help match JJ's front loaded contract. This is just my 2 cents of speculation. If this rumor is even valid.

Magic going in for Chris Paul

It has to be used through a trade. You can however, have the player sign with new york, have new york trade duhon to the Magic for the TPE. This saves the Magic's MLE and Transfers a TPE to the Knicks for 1 year.

    Interesting Commentary on The Magic

I actually believe the opposite of what this guy wrote - I think Jameer Nelson is a perfect championship compliment. We didn't lose because of Jameer. We lost because Dwight Howard doesn't have a consistent enough offensive game, and we didn't have anyone on the floor that could create their own shot. They all sit around waiting for Dwight to draw a double team so that they can get a wide open trey. Points 3 and 4 are why we lost to Boston (and LA the season before), not 1 and 2. I agree that Detroit won with a shoot-first point guard. But, Billups was a lock down defender, too. Jameer can't guard his shadow. Don't get me wrong. I love Jameer's offense (except that stupid jump-in-the-air-and-then-decide-where-to-pass pass), but his defensive lapses and his height are his biggest weaknesses.

The back up plan is reportedly: VC for Thorton, Hinrich and Randy Foye. That is not sexy.

Surely SOMEONE will want Ok4 Okafor makes almost 11 million. Considering that Paul is a BYC player til the 30th we could make the numbers work a little easier and take Okafor in a deal. Also, If Cole Aldrich (11th pick) was traded to OKC for the 18th and 21st pick, isn't Bledsoe being picked with the 18 somewhat of a hint that they are moving a PG?
