The only way I see us ever doing any type of deal with Golden State is if Harrison Barnes is coming back in return. Simple as that. No chance Henny brings in Lee, as others have noted, that's an Otis move.

I agree with this. I actually feel confident if we nail this draft, we can make an 8 seed next year (we are in the east after all). AA is not going to be here in a year. I'm sure we will push to trade him on draft night, but I would not be shocked if that didn't happen. I would however be shocked if Affalo is on our team after the deadline. Like you're saying, you don't just want him walking for nothing and he has real good value in a trade going to a contending team. Do I think there is a player at 8 that will put up the same numbers as Affalo? No, but I think "x" player could the following year and that's when we should ideally be making a run as a middle seed team in the east (fingers crossed).

I agree. I think this trade makes good sense for both teams. Chicago is in "win now" mode, Affalo fits in perfectly with what Coach Thibs preaches. Nicholson equals anything you would get in the second round, so essentially they're giving up their first rounder for Affalo. Affalo is much better than any player they would find in the draft at that position and he helps them win from opening night.

I learned on NBA2k that a team that hasn't won over 25 games the past 2 years definitely doesn't have room in the back court for any new players because the personnel they already have in place is obviously getting the job done. There is not 1 free agent PG or SG that I feel that the magic should go after in free agency, we are set with Oladipo/Nelson/Lamb/Moore, that's the perfect 2k back court.

Giving up Affalo just to move up 5 spots? Idk. I guess if we could for sure get Exum/Vonleh or Parker/Smart I wouldn't feel as bad but I feel like Affalo should net us more. I'd like a first round pick strait up for him.

I love it too. But I don't really see some dominate back court we have to where we have no room for a guy like Lance, but maybe there is some all star on the team I'm not aware of.

For a max deal, I would pass. But I just brought him up because I wasn't really sure what kind of money he will demand, just that he was young, could play multiple positions, and has gotten better every year.

If Wiggins fell to 4, just wow. I would be ecstatic.

That would be a really nice young athletic duo for the Bucks. Crazy to think Parker truly could fall to 4.

It was just a suggestion. Turner sucked for like 3 years he had a rough transition to the NBA but seemed to show some promise this year. Did not mean to turn this into the Evan Turner thread and not once did I ever compare him to Affalo. But enough about Turner.

Lance is a really good young player. Tad bit of a headcase but he can do a lot of good. But yea that was a pathetic suggestions by me. I wish we all had such great and insightful knowledge like you on what direction the Magic should go in.

Sorry you feel that way. Turner put up good numbers when he got minutes and he can play 3 positions. Seemed like he finally was catching on in the NBA before he got traded to Indiana. He fits the mold of a young, rising player who could be affordable. But thanks for your constructive feedback and explanations, I thought this was a forum where people posted their views on what would make the team better. You're pathetic.

Evan Turner is a guy I would give a look at through free agency. Still young and good with the ball in his hands. Pacers can't use him because they already have Lance. No clue what kind of money he will demand I don't think it will anything crazy.
