I suggest anyone crazy enough to want Arenas on the Magic or to think he's an upgrade over VC gander at some of his season stats:

14.7 PER - (below league average)

50.9% TS% - on 38.1% FG%, 36.5% threes, 15.4 FGA/game (do you really want such an inefficient chucker taking away shots from other players)

0.24 FTA/FGA - (ie., he doesn't get to the foul line a lot like he did 5 years ago)

57.3% TS% - career high, and 6.4% better than Gilbert. Plus he takes only 11.1 FGAs/game, 4.3 less than Gilbert. Where do you want GA's 4.3 shots @ 50.9% TS to come from?

0.31 FTA/FGA - he's getting to the line more than Gilbert. His FTA/FGA ratio is identical to Michael Jordan at the same age if I'm not mistaken
