  1. I can take losing. Knicks are absolutely crap man. 17 point lead then to lose at home vs these fools. Whether it matters or not. I don't care. It's crap.

Yes it is crap. I'm done watching for this year. I will admit that I have watched less games this year than I ever have, but I'm done. I constantly complain about fans who want this team to tank so that we can get a high draft pick ( for way too many years in a row now), but I'm on board with it. I hope this pile of dog crap loses every game they play for the rest of the season. No free agent worth a hoot is coming here no matter how much we offer them, so the only chance we have at becoming competitive is to draft the next Michael Jordan. I no longer consider watching this team play to be classified as entertainment. Over and out.

  2. Yeah but going big makes sense* against Kahwi

*(sense in that they still think we should try and win games)

It is only mid February and everybody is already in what is now called our yearly Magic tank mode. This is why the NBA has become my least favorite sport. It's the only sport that fans start wanting their teams to lose 2/3 of the way through the season because they could possibly luck out and draft that special player, except for the fact that if the ping pong balls don't fall in your favor you might just wind up with what we have drafted since Dwight Howard left.

  3. I have not watched a complete game in over a month. I have been watching NBA basketball on tv since it was broadcast in black and white, and I find this team to be absolutely boring. I am not a troll, just being honest. I really miss wanting to watch the Magic play. As Lovie Smith would say, I'm very disappointed.

  4. I didn't think he would become a star. That was back at the time when everyone was raving about our "young guns". The mindset seemed to be that the worse we were playing, the faster we would become champions. I never drank from that particular Kool-Aid.

You do know that his career high averages for points and rebounds were in the 27 games that he played for us when we got him from the Bucks, right? Over 17 points and and 8.5 rebounds, and he was only 20 years old. Sure looked like a potential star to me, but what do I know. I've only been watching NBA ball for over 50 years. Maybe I'm getting senile.

  5. 1. I can't honestly say. He seems to have the mental fortitude to stick it out. He loved it here. I don't think he would've demanded out. I mean yeah Dipo and JJ play the same position but depth doesn't kill you. You could've played them both more as one is a good shooter. Probably more effective than Dipo and EP since Dipo plays with the ball and JJ can play without it.

    2. I'm talking about Ray Allen. He got him for Jeff Green of all players. I'm not ready to call the Ibaka trade a win. Right now our record is misleading and we could very well be in the same boat with a player who says "I'm out" in just over a few months in a weak FA. We could very well be on course to rebuilding next season or resigning Ibaka to big money and be a treadmill team. Just can't make that verdict yet.

    3. Yeah but I also read about how he isn't the best negotiator. May not be the same article because it seemed like it was later on then that. Can't quite remember when . Maybe after Tobias to Detroit? He got a lot of flack for that.

The reason the Magic traded JJ had nothing to do with if he would demand out. The Magic were not going to sign him to a 4 year contract for 27 million which is what he got. At the time, that was a big hit on the cap, and it made sense. If JJ would've been willing to give the Magic a "home team" discount, I'm sure the Magic would jump at it, but they knew that wasn't happening. Henny made the right move. Unfortunately, Tobias did not become the star that we all thought he would, but he sure thrilled the heck out of us for awhile.

  6. No you're way off. Mudiay, Kaminsky, Turner, Lyles, Booker all appear solid.

I guess that depends on what you consider solid. Let's start with Mudiay, the number 6 pick. Have you watched this guy play? His A/TO is a dismal 1.3. His FG% is .357 which includes .278 3P%. His PPS is 1.045 and AFG % is 0.40. He is clearly being outplayed by none other than Jameer Nelson. No doubt he is bringing more to the table than Mario, like I said in my post, but I do believe that the Nuggets have to be disappointed in this guy so far.

  7. Perhaps. His body language is terrible

After Porzingis, the top 10 players drafted in 2015 pretty much all suck so far, but Maurio has to be the biggest disappointment. To me, it looks like number 10 Winslow has the best chance of becoming a good player in the league. We've had the worst draft classes possible when we get lottery picks lately, that's for sure.

  8. Bump

I actually bet on the Magic twice this year. Against OKC on the road and the Pelicans at home. I was getting points both times and didn't need them. I almost took the points against the Spurs, but chickened out before tip off. Last night's game should have been a gimme with all of the Grizzlies that were sidelined, but it seems this team plays worse when they should win easily, so I passed. The Magic are a gamblers' nightmare, but so far I'm 2 for 2.

  9. True, but still Soul Bro... what kills me is why these moves... like who thought it was a good idea to go after bigs (Ibaka, Biyombo, Green) when all around the league 3pt shooting has been an emphasis's.

I mean did Rob not come from one the most rated 3pt teams in OKC? He saw first hand what you can do right... the moves that took place look nothing like the OKC template... well besides Ibaka now... but hell he is playing at the 4 and isnt providint much in terms of offensive 3s and Defense.

Did Rob get told by Jordan that Biyombo is the second coming of Hakeem?

How does Payton not have some type of offensive game to go to when he cant hit the lane? How long has he played basketball? Who scouted him, who hadnt developed him?

And yea i do watch our former players do well, are they playing like all stars.. no... but they contribute to their teams, Harkless was stroking 3s from Damien for example.

I thought we bottomed out after Dwight and stuff, but we cleared that.

The thought of tanking for lottery in a non structured lottery system is again dumb and should never be used as a strategy, but we used it... alot.

I thought that aftet 5 yrs we might go through 2 coaches... nope we are at 3... and depending on this season and risk of leadership being fired, it might get to #4.

Our roster went from people who can score to ..... nada, nothing, Fournier is our Jordan/Pippen/Kerr/Kukoc... beyond that we have a butt load of Rodmans.

The way we spent money was stupid, no one says you need too and yet here we are over the cap!....

We over the cap and this is our high priced team?

LMAO HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA.

Sorry Rob, you and your team isnt very good and the record, trades and money speaks for itself.

Please resign Rob. You have turned a Franchise into a Joke.

The only thing about your post that I take issue with is saying that we have a butt load of Rodmans. If that was true we could easily trade a few and we would be a playoff team overnight.

  10. Or the same treatment Skiles gave Harris. Harris netted the Bucks JJ. If we could get a JJ level player for Mario I think I would go for it!

Except the Bucks only had JJ for 28 games. The reason we made the trade was JJ was about to enter free agency and we knew we weren't going to sign him. It was the best trade Henny ever made. I agree that I would be on board for a player like JJ, but we sure don't need a short term answer to this team.

  11. I really doubt ibaka is gonna be that guy --

I reluctantly agree with you. Before the season started it was discussed on here as to who's picture should be on the front of the team's program, and I seem to remember him being the top choice because of his pedigree and the closest thing we had to being a star player. So far, he's been nothing more than a role player, and we needed much more than that out of him. Problem is, there is nobody else on this team that comes close to being " that guy". In a nutshell, we're screwed.

  12. Hearing from multiple people that the Magic are just not getting along as team right now. Lots of competition gone bad.

    Per Magical

This is not uncommon for a team without a leader, especially a vocal leader with a winning attitude. Problem is that is generally a veteran player from a winning program. I was hoping Ibaka would be that guy, and maybe it's still possible, but the main nucleus of our team has always played on a lousy NBA team and winning has been an exception rather than the norm.
