GAME THREAD: ORLANDO MAGIC AT SACRAMENTO KINGS
Voodoo Man replied to The Neighborhood Bully's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Truth. It should be no surprise that the highest paid free agent on the team who missed 44 games the last 2 seasons, would already miss 44 games for us. Unfortunately we have 2 more years of his part time play ahead of us. I really had high hopes when we signed him. -

Maybe it is because we are 9-23 for 2016, and some of us do not believe that Santa Claus is going to deliver us anything that is going to turn this shipwreck around. I absolutely despise what Dwight did to this team, but I can also understand that he was young and dumb, and we all know that his agent was the one calling the shots. -

I never thought I'd say this, but if Dwight would be willing to make amends by giving the Magic a "hometown" discount, I'd be on board with bringing him back. Our progression seems to be stuck in neutral and leaning towards reverse right now. -
GAME THREAD: ORLANDO MAGIC AT SACRAMENTO KINGS
Voodoo Man replied to The Neighborhood Bully's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
It's been a rough road trip for the Magic. The only team in the East who has a worse record in the last 10 games is Philly who has only won 8 games all year. The 76ers beat the Lakers, Phoenix (twice), Sacramento, and our next foe Portland. If we can't beat Sacramento without Cousins, this team officially sucks. -

I'm convinced that the Tobias trade was nothing more than a salary dump hoping we could sign a significant free agent this summer. Only problem is I'm also convinced that there is no "game changing" free agent going to consider playing for this team because we have evolved into one hot mess. At the end of December, I could honestly imagine that a player like Durant might actually be a possibility because we looked like a team that was possibly one super star away from being a contender. Now we look like a pretender. I apologize for the rant, but this team's playoffs hopes look a few years away right now to me. -

Well, it was a blowout, but it was the wrong team doing the damage. This team has sunk to an unacceptable level of skill and desire. -
Sitting at home on a Friday night and watching this game is the definition of masochism.

Here is a fact. We are 7-19 for 2016 and that is counting all the games. I would not bet that we finish .500 if somebody gave me 10-1 odds. -

We won 5 and lost 7 in February. Not .500. That's the same % as 10 and 14 which is about all I expect from here on out. Hopefully I'm wrong. -
I have never seen him play, but Diamond Stone sounds like a male stripper or a porn star to me.

That and Gordon didn't pout after making a mistake or committing a foul like Mario does. Hopefully he grows out of this because he puts himself into a funk too often. -
Time to switch over to the Lightning game. I'll tune in after the half. This is pitiful.

This is a hot mess.

I noticed the last game we played that Jennings had a dumb foul at the end of the first half, and Skiles barely played him in the second half. He did it again tonight and Skiles yanked him right away and he never saw the court again. Skiles is one hard nosed coach. I like it. Hopefully Jennings takes heed because we need him.

Guess you had to be there. Packed stadium in 1975. Great White Buffalo. I saw my first live NBA game 2 days later. -

Nicholson played in 3 games in February and only played in over 3 minutes in one of them. This guy won't break a sweat on this team if that's the case. -
Fun first half. Gordon with 4 steals. New guys with 20 points.

This is never ending dude. Take your shoe off and dump the rock out of it. You'll feel better.

Wrong thread for this.

Our core young talent have to play their butts off for the rest of the season to entice the max free agents to come. If this happens, it will be the coolest story ever in Magicland. Never say never.

On January 24,2014 Tobias scored 28 points and pulled down 20 rebounds. Two months later he scored 31 points in a game that our team total score was only 92. I really thought that this guy would become the cornerstone of the Magic for years to come. I guess some of the blame for his downward spiral can be blamed on Skiles, but I think the truth of the matter is he is not the player that I thought he was. Great guy, always humble, and team oriented, but not worth the money we gave him. I wish him luck, but I do not see this trade in a negative way. It was time for him to go, and let our young guns prove themselves.

If the Gilbert Arenas deal didn't give you a stroke, nothing will. You'll survive this. You still have youth on your side, young man.
