Yeah except all the other teams up there have won something... alright I really only looked at the top 5 but still... Being that close to the Yankees gives my stomach a sick feeling.
-
One season!! Maybe Riley "dismissed" him because he just isn't capable of making teams better. It might be time for us to get a new coach... Adelman is my choice, Sloan is available, who know what Phil Jackson has up his sleeve... Don't get me wrong I'm not chanting fire SVG. But I am looking at whether we can improve our team... a coaching upgrade is one of them.

in that order. 1999 - Lost in 5 to very good Jazz Team 2000 - Lost in 5 to 1 seeded Lakers (won finals) 2001 - Lost in 4 to Lakers who swept the west that year. Won finals too. 2002 - Lost in 7 to Lakers in the greatest series ever. They would have killed on NJN with ease like the Lakers did. Barely missed a championship that year. 2003 - Lost in 7 to Mavs 2004 - Lost in 7 to Wolves Their best season ever. That team was dirty with a young KG (back when I actually liked KG) 2005 - Lost in 5 to Sonics 2006 - Lost in 6 to 1 Seeded Spurs You act like he was not capable of winning but he lost many "win or go" home games against VERY, VERY good teams. You can't fault him for that. He built winning teams and were contenders for years. Now you tell me. What has SVG done besides coach the two best centers to enter the league in the last 25 years??

Dwight being traded this summer.
LiveByTheThree replied to Dave Corzine Back again!!!'s topic in Orlando Magic Forum
SERIOUSLY. I know all of us think about it time to time because we've been had by superstar players before. But seriously... Lets cheer this team on as hard as we can for whatever amount of time he is here. It playoff season! I say go Dwight, rip Collins head of its shoulders!! Dude isn't LBJ.. If he leaves you will wish you enjoyed his final two years here. Just believe in Dwight support him and it will all play out. ISNT BELIEVING WHAT US MAGIC FANS DO BEST -
Jason Collins says Dwight "doesn't like physical play"

Blow up the team and lets form the new era "Bad Boys". I have Dennis on the other line, he says he's making a comeback -
Dwight to be awarded his third consecutive DPOY today
LiveByTheThree replied to You're Fat, Pat!'s topic in Orlando Magic Forum
I don't even get excited anymore for this award. Its just expected. Anyways, Congrats Dwight! -
Has won over 900 games as a head coach, been to two NBA finals. Constantly has had over achieving teams without having superstar players. Imagine what he could draw up with Dwight! Rick is an offensive genius. Our O would be way less predictable. I was a huge fan of the early 2000s Kings too. I just always liked Rick Adelman. Like I said before, I don't dislike Stan but i do think he gets a lot of cred for his defensive scheme. But come on... Dwight is why our D is good. Adelman could come up with something just as good but our offense would be way harder to expose. And ever since Boston last year our offense has been exposed.
-
In no way do I dislike SVG but if him being fired brings in Adelman I'm all for it.
-
Ha who doesn't.

Yeah. I'd say it was a darker blue, more Magic color than anything. DEN/OKC are sky blue-ish. That's how Amway should look on Tuesday. It didn't look like a playoff atmosphere from my tube... but I wasn't there so I may be wrong. And we could use some young talent from OKC. Gil/Bass for Ibaka/Harden/Sefalosha (sp?) Yeah! That sounds good. Pull the trigger Otis, why you waiting?
-
I was curious to that also. OKC looked like a damn NCAA game. But I think Ninja was beyond belief that you started a thread just to ask such a simple question. Therefore wondering if you were serious. but anyways... IBTL

Goals of the Magic in the Playoffs
LiveByTheThree replied to 30Assists's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
I don't look for moral victories in the playoffs. Win or go home baby. Learning is what you do for the first 82 games. -
True. I guess that is one way to move up in the ranks of ESPN. This is why I love when TNT does a game.
-
No.

Brazilian stars tend to live to much in the spotlight thus seeing themselves invincible. They just tend to let their selves go after they blow up. Brazil has a huge party scene. Thats why we always see such young Brazilian squads. And what ever happened to Adriano?
-
I'm not sure but didn't Marc Stein reveal his votes and why he picked said players/coach? I think it is more of a poker face type thing. If you wanna tell people you can but the league isn't going to reveal your votes. Anyways. I'm still lmao'ing at those two picks... If your gonna go with wing players at least pick Tony Allen! Jon Barry should be fired for his blatant hate for Orlando.

I think Anderson provides the better mismatches for us obviously. We love to use the stretch four lineup too. And if the guy is on then you know we can be a lethal team with D12 eating up everything in the paint. But to say there is a "dilemma" is pushing. Bass should start. Just as he has been doing all year. Whenever Anderson starts he usually will pick up some quick fouls. I do think Ryno should get majority of the minutes on most nights though. Bass does not play within the offense at all. (A lot of you call him The Black Hole, I prefer No Pass Bass) We should use Brandon's iso skills to go to the paint more often, trying to get other teams bigs in foul trouble to start the game... Once that happens, insert RA. Also, both Anderson and Bass often miss their defensive assignments which clearly gets SVG angry. This is the only dilemma we should be speaking of. I think this is how Stan makes his rotations also... Who he is more mad at, at that current time, will get pulled. Oh... and if neither of them is producing lets get defensive and put EARL CLARK in the game. Dude crashes the boards and changes a lot of shots... He is an animal out there. Free EC3

Wonderful job on the sigs Addi! I liked them a lot! Is it cool if I grab this Ryno one?

Magic vs. Pacers Gamethread
LiveByTheThree replied to You're Fat, Pat!'s topic in Orlando Magic Forum
We should have gave out the Dwight for MVP shirts a loooonnnnng time ago. You know, before the award has all but been handed to Derrick Rose. The only campaigning for Dwight to get the award was done by SVG and he probably pissed more people off rather than raise Dwight's chances. Regardless... I want that shirt. Anyways... Hopefully we get our dudes some rest. Let Duhon, Gilbert, Q, Earl, Malik get around half the burn tonight. But that is wishful thinking. We'll win a blowout and it will finally be Playoff Time BABY! Magic - 106 Pacers - 89 Any word on J.J. yet? -
I was at the Amway today for the game and I had this feeling the Magic would not go down easily. This team definitely plays with a chip on their shoulders when D12 is out of the lineup. In warmups they looked like a lively bunch. (yeah yeah 3 days off, I know) BUT, at least we know this team will never lay down and die. They are relentless and truly have a lot of heart. Everyone in the Amway seemed to be in Zombie mode through the first quarter. Probably due to Dwight's suspension and the 1 oclock start time. Didn't seem like much interest, AT FIRST. But then when everyone realized the amount of noise Bulls fans were making we made sure to tune the MVP chants out with even louder boos. Nobody should be getting an MVP chant in our house besides Dwight! All in all the energy the Magic brought was contagious. The crowd got hella into the game and it was a rather interesting finish. (The roof literally almost blew off when Jameer hit that 3 at the end, half the place already left though!! WTH!!) One thing I noticed that bothered me... Brandon Bass. They had Boozer covering him while Noah and Gibson followed RA around the perimeter. Booz being the terrible defender he is, Bass should definitely take him 1 on 1 to the hole for an easy dunk or foul. Obviously he pulled up for one those inevitable jumpers. (One for an airball over the rim) AGHH I WAS SO MAD Oh and boy our defense was great. Where has this effort on D been all year?? Clearly everyone just relies on Dwight way to often on the defensive side. (Kind of like Tmac on offense, haha) Their hands were active and they kept there men in front of them most the night. Good Job guys! Now bring it that hard when Dwight is back!! I BELIEVE!! GO MAGIC!!
