4 and 52, seriously thankful that isn't here
Lol, his agent used our name to get PAID! Wouldn't be surprised at all if we never actually even called him
-
Payton
Augustin
Watson
Collison
2 of those gotta go if we sign Collison
Well, Watson will be waived on July 9th if we can't find a team to trade him to by then
-
Great for JJ to get paid! 1 year 23 million and he'll be able to hit the market again next year when more teams have money. The summer league game today showed me that if nothing else, we're gonna be annoyingly long on defense this year. The length of Isaac and Iwundu = ridiculous. I'd really like to see us sign a point guard to a 1 or 2 year deal with our cap space and put DJ in the role Shabazz played a couple years ago
-
Livingston's 3/24 deal with the Warriors is only guaranteed for 2 mill in the 3rd year
-
We'll have to agree to disagree. Hill is a solid starting PG. Biz is barely an NBA player, Ingles at 15 mil a year is ludicrous.
I agree with you that Hill would help a ton and he's a better ball player than Ingles and Biz, but none of the 3 are superstars or even all-stars. Biz is better than you give him credit for, in my opinion
-
You lose flexibility by signing bad players to bad contracts (Biz, Ingles), you retain flexibility with good players on big contracts (Hill).
Meh. Hill, Ingles and Biyombo are all good role players
-
I'm not sure we'd be a lottery team with Hill at PG.
Any steps to improve the team are welcome to me. Tanking has failed.
Tanking has failed because the only year we fully tanked may have been the worst draft class in NBA history

Golden state might sign rudy gay?
That's supposedly their plan if Iggy leaves. Gay in the Iggy role is not a great fit, but with that much talent, they'll make it work.
-
I like Ingles as a role player. I hate the move for us because we aren't at that stage. It's the same thing we did with Biyombo last year. These are moves you get excited about if you have a star or two to build around, but overpaying role players without stars makes no damn sense.
-
Ingles would make sense if we didn't have ross and Fournier. Maybe we have a trade in our pocket
Even then, not at 4/60
-
*sigh... are we ever going to be linked to a sexy free agent acquisition again?
-
Realistic free agency goals from me are that we bring in a new point guard, re-sign Meeks and sign a back up 4. Wouldn't be upset to see Vucevic traded, would be disappointed if we couldn't find a way to unload DJ

We doing late night message board tonight?
I get home from work around 11:30, so of course I'm in.

you guys aren't going to believe this. But my late 90s Cincinnati basketball knowledge is pretty lacking.
K-Mart was an athletic freak, broke his leg nasty and had some ligament damage as well. I believe that was the year before he got drafted.
-
Just thought of a random comp for AG... Kenyon Martin. Does that fit the bill?
Kenyon Martin pre-devastating knee injury at Cincinnati?
-
No they are not elite. They are old and getting older by the day. One half of basketball does not make you elite.
They won 61 games last year
-
...why?
Seems to be they're looking for all the non-guaranteed deals they can find before the CP deal becomes official
-
I'll be surprised if CJ Watson isn't dealt to Houston by the end of the day
-
Not just that, they are striking out on players like Butler and Cp3. Time to rebuild.
Lol.. the team that had a 25 point lead in game 1 on the road against Golden state in the west finals before Kawhi got hurt? San Antonio is still amongst the elite in the NBA, why the hell would they rebuild?
-
Vucevic is very tradable, we just haven't done it yet because we think he's worth more than other teams do
-
Yea it just seems like the Bulls screwed themselves a bit. Even though they won't have to pay the 24 mil I feel like they maybe could of found a way to pay nothing or at least get something in return. Especially knowing they were looking to trade Butler.
I agree they gaffed it up pretty bad, they went all in on an aging former superstar and it backfired big time. Unfortunately, the mistake they made was made last year when they gave Wade a player option for year 2 instead of just making it a 1 year deal.
-
I don't like DJ here as an fit. Be great if we had an pg that can shoot
Deandre Jordan is one of the more overrated players in the league. He's unplayable in the 4th quarter due to terrible free throw shooting and his only offensive move is the power dunk. Good rebounder and shot blocker, but not much more than that
-
Makes sense I guess but I would then wonder why the Bulls didn't suggest to Wade he should opt out. Does he clear waivers or does someone snatch him? Not sure how that works.
Wade opted in because he wasn't gonna turn down the 24 million dollars he was gonna get next year. He probably only would've got half that on the market. If the Bulls just straight up released him, they'd owe him all his money this year unless someone claimed him off waivers (which no one would at that price). If they negotiate a buyout with him he's open to sign anywhere but Chicago.
-
So, the league is quickly moving to 4 or 5 elite teams and 25-26 that have no chance

Cavs close to salary-dumping Iman Shumpert... Man, this offseason couldn't be going much worse for the Eastern conference. Boston still hasn't cashed in on any of their assets, 2 of the 3 statistically best players in the East dealt West without receiving all-stars in return, and LeBron is looking more and more likely to leave Cleveland after next year.
